Please, does one need to do an LOE to explain reason for changing NOC post-ITA?
To me, I don't think LOE is needed for changing NOC post ITA but then, the LOE is to be used to further simplify whatever you feel needs to be explained. It’s thus left to you if you feel you need to explain, if yes, then please provide a LOE. For me, I’d let it pass without the LOE.

Good People,

I have a few questions. Although all have been touched, a refresher wouldn’t be out of place.

1.) For an applicant who’s adding spouse after AOR, what are the likely ADRs to expect apart from POF, PCC & Medicals for spouse, Pictures of wedding/honeymoon, chats/email exchange?

2.) The significant other has a child, asides consent letter from the child’s father, any other legal document to support addition of the chap?

3.) PA is self-employed, what documents are needed to prove work experience? I know recommendation letter from clients, CAC registration, income evidence, tax clearance, reference letters from clients, bank statement showing payments from clients, contract agreements. Please any other document to be added?

shocked You have innocently succeeded in increasing temperature levels ahead of Friday's release of IELTS results
No be today temperature+heartbeat don de rise in anticipation of result... Result go show and see folks blasting BC with RPG
Saintp:
I have noticed that for accompanying spouse the difference between 8777 and say 7777 or even 6777 is not up to 10 points. Am I right?
You're right, maximum your spouse can add from IELTS is 20 points. Let's just say that gives your spouse some form of leeway to fall below the 8777 and you s/he won't lose as much as the PA will lose with such a result. Difference between 8777 and 7777/6777 is just about 2 points. As a PA, you don't want your L to be below 8 otherwise, as said here, more revenue to BC from you be that.

Congrats EngrKen8. A quick question please. How come a slight improvement in your second IELTS score moved you to a CRS above 430 from 396 (draws in August were 441, 433 and 434 in that order)? Was there any other thing you did, but not stated to boost your score other than IELTS?

Once again, congratulations
As little as 0.5 less in any of 8777 takes about 55-60 points off your score. A minimum of 8777 will give him the needed boost to surpass draws of that period. I believe retaking the IELTS was all he did.

Good evening great people. Please inhale a question..on feeling the application form on line, there are 2 columns under statutory questions in the personal history column that asks similar questions on refusal of visa or refugee immigration. The 2 questions seems similar but I doubt if they mean the same thing. I was denied US and UK visas in 2002 and 2007 but after that I have been to those countries at least a dozen time after the denials. the question is this do I indicate the denials for the 2 questions or which of the questions should have a yes for denials.
sorry for the long epistle
The two questions are different. One has to do with entry denial while the other visa denial. The entry denial is you getting to the country but you were not allowed in, put as turned back at POE while visa denial is your visa application being denied. Read the questions well, you'd pick the difference.

By the way, which NOC did you eventually choose? I am seriously debating whether to change mine post-ITA or not.
You can change your NOC post ITA. Some elders did. Just ensure your new NOC is in sync with duties in your reference letter(s).

If you can split the payment... I think you should try pay for transcript only and see if your school will treat. WES should have accepted your certificate by now thus no need paying to have certificate verified.

Hello Team, just before ITA testimonies start rolling in.
With a projected score of atleast 467 (MSC, 31YRS, 3 YEARS EXP, SINGLE). I am assuming I'd almost get ITA as soon as I enter the pool.
Do you have your ECA/IELTS ready? If any or both isn't, that gives a bit of time to persuade your parents, or friends.

It is my opinion that disposing landed property is not really a good option, especially when you're disposing not to acquire another. Yours being at a choice location should be a factor for you to hold on to the property. That said, I'd rather have you ask your fiance than dispose the property. If your fiance has capacity to help, please ask. You guys are building a life together, asking for help shouldn't be a tough call.

The six months holding period isn't really necessary, you can look at a lesser period if you find a willing party to help.

Biko e family for those that chose WES standard delivery, how long did it take to receive the hard copy of your evaluation? Mine was completed since Nov 6 and I'm yet to receive the paper copy.

2. For those that got UK PCC, did you pay additional fee for international tracking or just the £45 pounds? I wan know make the thing no go hang like my WES. Did you get it after 10 working days like they specified?
1.) A month should be fair. You can wait two more weeks, if not received by then, try check the closest NIPOST office to your address. That's if you want to make the extra effort at having the hard copy.

2.) It's best you use a UK address, gets delivered there faster than you'd have it here. Your receipient can then scan to you (and find a way to post/send the hard copy)

@santino1 @Kontagious @40manlappy

Please i seek your keen advice on IMM008 and Additional Family Information forms.

Is the additional family form a separate form apart from the IMM008?
Hi Daremum,

Congratulations on your PPR, the two forms are different. IMM0008 is about 7 pages while Additional Family Information form is just about a page and to be filled separately by each member if I am right.

From my observation, if family composition is unchanged, the additional family information form is totally unneeded while the IMM0008 is optional. The IMM0008 also allows you to add a new member I suppose. So, if your family composition is same, then you might fill the IMM0008. It doesn't take that much to fill, the questions on the form are what you've already filled, nothing really new.

For me, I filled the IMM0008 form even though family size remained same. I can't tell if filling aided me receiving the stamped passports and CoPRs within time, got them 17 days after passport got delivered to Ghana. Then again, in the package sent, I included a cover letter which still stated my family size is same - Got the draft from 40manlappy's post, I would have attached draft but far from my lappy ATM.

Actually a very good question. Personally, I feel if it can be avoided, then by all means it should be. At the same time we have seen guys here who arranged their POF post-ITA (sometimes with little or no LOE) and had no issues with their application. I can only imagine how many more are not on this thread. Perhaps how close this post-ITA arrangement is to application submission is what matters. And of course, if not providing an explanation makes one uneasy about the whole application, then LOE it is!
Santino1:
Just to add another perspective to the discussion. Like I already mentioned in my PPR rant, I only got a one page letter from Credit Suisse a couple of days before my ITA stating all my accounts, date they were opened etc (i.e. following the CIC guideline) and my balance on the day the letter was printed. Thus, in my opinion there is no way to know if I had a lump sum deposited a day before the letter was printed or not.

Note to all. I'm not advising people to start circumventing the process (if CIC catch you and slam 5 years ban on you for lying, Santion1 no dey abeg). Just though I should enrich the discussion.
Raconteur14:
Even though I am inexperienced (I am just in the pool), I think the time of deposit wouldn't matter much in as much as one gets the CIC format from one's bank. This can be gotten with or without statement of account for 6 months and/or LOE depending on one's appetite for risk. Like @cochtrane said, the fact that so many people have gotten PPR even after depositing after their ITA and close to submission lends credence to the fact that this is acceptable.

However, if one can afford to have it for the whole duration, that will be the safest.
Thank you fellas.

Cochtrane, precedence has it that some if not many got away with such arrangement but sadly, we hardly ever read of rejections/bans on this thread. That does not take away the fact that some do actually get banned, and of course, not a set rule that this POF arrangements leads to rejection/ban. I asked just so we exercise caution and be ready/able to defend whatever document that is put forward.

Santino1, truly, providing POF in the required format will not reveal one received a lump sum few days before printing the letter but if that particular account over the past 6 months had far lesser inflows/outflows, then the average balance for the last month will be significantly different from the previous 5. Thus, it will be easy to conclude a major inflow came in the last month. This I presume does not apply to you. Even if you had a huge deposit in the last month, judging by your posts so far, I’d assume you have such inflows/outflows over time thereby making your balance for the six months somewhat balance. But for someone whose account has been receiving salary of say N400,000 with other little inflows then getting a sudden hit of N5m, average balance for the 6th month will be way greater than the other 5. Then again, it’s safe to say most Nigerian applicants don’t get the luxury of having the CIC POF format.

Raconteur14, your input is valued. True time of deposit does not necessarily matter. But having one month (the last month at that) stand like Okorocha’s statues amongst midgets just doesn’t look good to me. Especially when I know I received the money as a gift. I’d rather back that document up necessarily before being asked to explain, then I start looking for ways to do what should have been done before.

No one is saying applicants should not receive heavy amounts at any one time but can that money be explained when the question is asked? My concern was born out of curiosity as it seems some of us prefer not to go the gift deed route, hence, we receive the money then throw in FD/Tbills. The ultimate question I silently ask is, how do you defend this if you get ADR for 6/12 months statement of account. Recently, we’ve seen some ridiculous ADR coming from LVO in particular. That statement will definitely reveal what the applicant initially tried burying. Consequence of the statement and fate of the applicant is what is left for the VO to decide.

Thank you guys.

Hi Cochtrane,

Does your response here support the notion that monies can be received in huge sum, subsequently thrown in FD(or any other form of investment), all within a short period to submitting application without having any adverse effect? Asked just for discussion purpose.

You can only enroll for this Pre-arrival services if you have NOT landed in Canada but already have your PPR or CoPR and have more than 8 weeks to spare in Nigeria before departure and guess what? IT IS FREE!! Pls do your research on this, if interested!
Hi Teecann, Nice job you’re doing on here and in za oza room.

My brother, I thought I had the strength+patience but clearly, I get worn answering the same questions over and over again. Those that go for the jugular are the ones who add "urgently" to their already answered questions, when it's obvious they've not even made any attempt at reading. Person go just weak.

Sometimes when answering, you even try to be as detailed enough but still get questioned on how you got 5 from 3+4-2, if you did 3+4 then took 2 or you did 3-2 then plus 4. In short, it's energy sapping.

Like Santino mentioned, details of ones' application goes a long helping others, one of my greatest takeaway in recent time though is the revelation of possibility of NOC combination. By the way, Santino1, great work with your ITA-AOR. Congrats to you.
