GlitteringStar:God bless you richly for this post and many others you've put out here. You're truly a Star, may you continue to Glitter. Sadly, like Elfmann recently said, many of those that are supposed to benefit will just not read. Someone will still come 2/3 pages from now and ask this same question you've done much to compile evidence for. Good we have evidence of four cases in one post. 4 Likes |

xpizzy:The call for more input was solely to educate future test takers just in case a similar case reoccurs. However, in reading, only 40 gives band 9 and only 39 gives band 8.5. So, for you to have scored 9, means you got all 40 questions right. For talk2jt who scored 8.5, we are not sure which question she missed, could be the question in discussion or another. But if we have informed discussion on this type of question, others might just benefit as well. 4 Likes |

talk2jt:The question looks tricky but imagine someone else writing $1499.99 That's still technically less than 1500 and more than your choice. If the instruction was two words and or a number, i'd jejely go with Less Than $1500. If it's however one word or a number. $1499.99 will be my answer. 1 Like |

CNNN:The speaking result has a way of surprising test takers. On another case, you might consider leaving out practicing for few days but focus more on exam tips. Please take time to review tips shared on this thread. If your result is a true reflection of your ability (for the IELTS), you need a considerable effort in the remaining three sections. GlitteringStar among a host of others shared quite a number, her tips might be long to read but you will benefit a lot. Then also try check out tips on Youtube and other sites mentioned, be careful for you will see a lot of videos, many might not be what you need but if you come by a good video, you will know. You might take clue for sites to visit from the tips shared. |

GlitteringStar:Great advice here. One might be cash trapped to re-register but if you by chance (without forgetting preparation) get the desired score, from personal experience, I can tell you will forget the 68k. If the concern is POF isn't complete, trust that 68k will find its way back to POF when the time comes, if its however on a general case, the extra 68k expended would still not stop the journey. 10 weeks waiting on remark is very long and a daunting wait at that, that's if the remark comes back within the 10 weeks sef. cc: Owlette 2 Likes |

flyca:I believe you've received well thought out responses. Pursue the PR while you're still at your job. Not sure one can tell how long it will take from the very first step to expiration of your visa if eventually stamped but to be conservative, say a year. That's you having one more year at your job to decide to leave or not. Even after that, like Hephgirl suggested, you can still do short landing and return to your job giving you more time to acquire your professional experience. To tell how long the Express Entry will be open, that will be quite tasking. |

Bozoris:Great, but please let your PFA provide a supporting letter to collaborate the bolded. You can use the pensions as well, we have known cases of those that used pension and have their PPR/CoPR by now. Also, in case where you have multiple sources of POF. It's encouraged that you do a cover letter detailing all sources - this is to avoid the VO ignoring some of the POF as it was discussed earlier today. Three cases came to light. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bozoris:It is believed that up to 25% of closing balance on your pensions account statement will suffice as support POF. The account statement may be supported with a letter from your PFA starting that up to 25% will be available to you. There's a sample of that letter on this thread posted by Yimiton. You can search through the thread for that letter to have a better understanding. |

Santino1:Now Hephgirl will yab the sh*t out of you for posing as OBO. It's not a problem I suppose, and you don't really have to be present in Nigeria to have an account and those investment running in your name though. I recently had a Tbills initiated through email which was even sent to another branch than the account domiciled branch. In effect, you do not have the 60k since the investments are not in your name and they can't be used. So, you've got to edit that figure to what you can present in your name. |

Santino1:Hephgirl, come ann another OBO ooo To the matter at hand, you can use your investments (the ones you mentioned) as POF. However, post ITA, you can also edit the amount to your comfortable zone. In all, if you intend to stick to the 20K you have now, please edit the amount to reflect 20k. |

jovykay:1. Since you are the PA, him adding work experience gained outside Canada will add no point, so, you can remove the experience he has no reference letter for or even remove the entire work experience from the work history but state these work experience in his personal history. 2. Similar to 1 above, don't include his self employed work in the work history but state it in personal history. 3. You might want to reconsider to scan all 3 statements, best you cover all loose ends then submit and be worried throughout your application. We've read a case of an applicant who submitted over 70 pages for POF. However, best you also do a cover letter stating what amount is coming from which account and total the funds in your letter. You might also want to top that N5.4m a bit just to have some form of coverage against forex fluctuations and in case the required amount for your family size is topped. N5.4m seems like the required amount at present. Modified: 3. Do you mean the fix deposit is in one account but you collected money from three accounts? If yes, then just print account statement for the account where you did the fixed deposit. Attach your fix deposit certificate as well. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nozzle:Hi Nozzel, I join others in saying you raise a CSE uploading your updated POF as soon as possible. You can also do them a calculation as suggested by Tollu. To the other issue that caught my attention, I tried checking rate to see if I’d get an idea of what rate they use, maybe close to what we get on Oanda/XE. Going by N1.3 equating to CAD4594, that’s them saying N284 to a CAD! XE’s rate for July 11 surprisingly is N244 to a CAD. Where N284 come take enter? The N284 used seems more like current rate, do you by chance have/know the rate you used when you submitted? Cause I find it hard to believe 284 applies as far back as July. To All, if it’s present rate used. Do we then assume POF is not locked as at date of submission? It is a scary something oo. 3 Likes |
