Please note though that the specifications for the eAPR photo and the COPR (PPR) photo are different so you cannot use one for the other.
Thanks, read same in Feygbe’s post. Another one learnt today grin Will do the needful when the time comes.

My good people i just got a phone call from BC about EOR of July 8 IELTS exam i applied for on the 28rd of July... That my result wont be available till middle of December due to some technical issues. I told the lady on the phone i dont get she now said she will call back before the end of the week. please what do you think is happening?
Only BC can answer your question o. Just when you think you’ve heard the worst of BC, they tend to come up with a new one. July to December for EOR! Mid December from today is 8 weeks, do we take it that the “technical issue” is them just sending your script for the remark cause I cannot just comprehend the extension.

I get some old ones for Olopa. I won't need the soft copy from studio 24, as I can scan to IRCC photo size and dimensions.
Great. Funniest thing, IRCC specified size and dimension among some other measurement. The size I got was within range but dimension was a bit off. At least 420 x 540 is the required, Studio 24 sent me 413 x 531, though just a bit off, I had to rework it to avoid stories that touch. Paying N1,500 (x3) for the soft copy to me wasn't a great decision as a scan of the hard will do.

Is there a specification for the ones used for medicals? Or will the regular gbanjo one do? grin
They only required the passport be in white background and of course recent. I believe the gbanjo will suffice. grin

Good morning all,Thanks for the swift response yesterday. I appreciate it. I hope I am not being a bother if I ask another question. I was with them for 4 years as a Funds Transfer officer. I would really really appreciate your answers once again in helping me decide on which NOC is best. The thing is giving me worry. Don't want it to be this NOC wahala that will give me problem after sorting the distance learning thing. Thanks.
Put these exact words "40manlappy funds transfer" in the search bar and you'd have your NOC in the first post.

Note: He has his CoPR now.

Thanks. Photo get expiration? They no even get a discount for a couple. Shey one dey Ikoyi area?
Those people are not smiling at all, na so me sef ask concession for my daughter but got none.

For e-Apr, you only need either the hard or the soft copy. If you go for the hard copy, you'd have to scan just like every other document and you can of course keep the passport for other use. Other use here can be when sending your international passport on PPR. The soft copy gives less stress as you already have it in the required size/dimension. So you can request to have just the soft copy without printing the hard. If you choose to have either, you save half the cost.

What I did was request for both hard and soft copy but for the hard, I told them to stamp date two copies each since two copies are required with ppr - one to have name of studio and date snapped at the back and the other be left blank. I did this as I expect ppr within six months. Passport photography is expected to be snapped within six months, if ppr comes within my envisaged period, we'd use what we have instead of going back to the studio, if ppr does not come within, then we'd have to go for a recent one.

Very true sir...very true...thank you!

Quick one, how many points for a year experience and how many points for two/three? Considering using the teaching experience rather than my business which i intended using as major before but the paperwork eh...please advice!
From my understanding, seems one and two years have 25 points less than points from three years.
Will have a better look at the CRS tool when I'm much settled.

Sorry but I don't think you can get up to 600 points with LMIA backed employment offer. I believe the maximum points is 200 additional points and depending on the Skill type it could be just 50 points... Kindly reconfirm
True. I had always thought it gives 600 points. Thanks for the correction. We learn everyday. I'd edit the post.

With my bsc and age plus 6 years experience my CRS is at 413, so if I add my msc(plus 40), am likely to get to 453 right from your above explaination right? No vex say I dey as too many questions
The post you quoted is misleading. Skipped to mention points MSc (or any other educational degree) will add depends on your marital status. Use the link below to check your score.

Modified: If you have MSc, please evaluate your MSc. It will do lots more good than you going with just your Bsc

Can getting a provincial nomination increase mt chances?
A provincial nomination is the highest booster one can get, followed by LMIA backed employment offer. At this stage and while in Nigeria, probability of getting the latter is close to zero but not impossible while the former is a more expensive and time consuming route. Provincial nomination gives additional 600 points while the LMIA backee job offer gives maximum of 200 points which should get you ITA in next draw after receiving the nomination or the job offer.

If you have the wherewithal for PNP and/or you are in a hurry to jet out of Nigeria receive ITA because of your perceived low CRS, you can explore the PNP route. It cost CAD1,500. Otherwise, wait, hope, pray and watch CRS drop to your zone. Note that the PNP does not necessarily guaranty a speedy application process but rather a speedy ITA once nominated. Check page 0 and few pages back for links to understanding PNP.

That said, CRS is expected to drop if the number of ITA issued is increased and sustained. The past few draws has seen ITA issued to about 2800 applicants from a previous 3300 plus. If the number of ITA issued can climb back to mid 3000s and sustained at that level, then it is expected to see CRS drop drastically. My opinion though.

Ok. But sincerly, there little you can do to improve your CRS. you already maxed out the scores for speaking and listening. Even if you retake IELTS to gain maximum points for reading and writing it's just gonna be an additional 6 points. i.e from 419 to 425. And I cannot say it's economical to do so. Therefore, once your ECA arrives, enter the pool, sit on your 419 and keep hope alive that CIC will do 'christmas' for us and do lesser CRS draws hopefully before your next birthday.

Cheerssss.
Hard truth here. Though 425 looks more a comfortable zone, if the IELTS is retaken, how well can one guaranty that one or the two components already maxed out will not drop to acceptable base? Part or all the 6 points aimed for becomes lost.

Other factors where points can be gained is somewhat a stretch - additional degree; OND, HND, MSc. If already enrolled in a Masters programme, how soon will you be completing? Sure you would not forget to claim points from sibling if you have a PR sibling.

I assumed you are with Bachelors degree and with age 32 I got 419 using the CRS calculator. Check again, because one mark is important in this journey
The 3 points difference is most likely from one of the IELTS components she selected, that's where a band gives 3 points more than the previous band.

Good morning house.
Pls for those with children and have successfully filled post ITA forms, there's a part while filling for the children where this question was asked :
What's the mother tongue /first language?
There's a second one that asks if the child can communicate in English, I answered this one. The only challenge I have now is the mother tongue question. Do I choose yoruba or English?
Thanks
First, English no be my mother tongue and same for my child, so I went with the native language option.

For the child communicating in English, I have an infant who is just about walking, babe never start to talk properly so I asked my wife, how am I suppose to answer this question now? But since she'd eventually speak English, I choose English. Plus we talk to her in English and she responds accordingly (when she decides to be a gentle babe though), and she has started picking one word syllables. So, I had more conviction to select English. Only conservative as I would have selected both English and French for her sef as we'd want her talking french classes at the appropriate time. We saved that for future use grin

Lets wait for our seniors.

At current CRS of 385 (LRSW-6.5,8,7,7.5), an 8 in listening would have landed me at 435 cry cry cry, does it make any sense to create a profile now while preparing to rewrite IELTS?

Has anyone in that score range ever gotten provincial nomination? ##JustThinking... What if CIC decides to do Christmas for peeps and am nowhere to be found in the pool.. grin grin

What are the implications of entering the pool with this score?
grin grin @ bolded.

Ontario was generous few months back... Folks in the range of 380 (I think in IT related occupations) got invited. Your CRS with 8 in listening looks good, why think the long and expensive route of PNP when you have potentials of getting ITA directly?

The only implication I can think of is the one year validity period of your profile which starts counting as soon as you create the profile, that of course is inconsequential as you'd get your desired score and subsequently receive ITA in no time.
