You are a real Olodo as your name says.
People are people. Chinese are on average no more or no less honest than other people, including Nigerians.
It is what the host country allows them to get away with - it is as simple as that.

Olodostein: Very Correct. An average Chinese man is Morally upright than a Westerner.

Exactly - any other approach is a waste of time.

Foreign AffairsRe: Hillary Clinton Warns African Leaders About Co-operating With China. by koruji(m): 10:56pm On Aug 04, 2012
Thank you.
Believe me China is the worst of the two "exploiters".
At least the US would raise issues when their African stooges go too far - not China, not ever.
For all those giving China the thumbs up here I am sorry for your and your children's future.
Wisen up.

Pataki: I remember earlier this year, a Prof. Adepoju Aderanti came from Unilag to deliver a guest lecture in Europe on the battle between the US and China for African resources.

While America seems to want to protect his own economic interest in Africa, their years of raping this continent still leaves us sore. Equally we as Africans need to be wary of the Chinese.

Does anyone here know that the new AU complex building design contract was awarded to a Chinese firm? Africa and Africans surely still have a long way to go.
PoliticsRe: Sheikh Gumi: Boko Haram Are Not Real Muslims by koruji(m): 7:46pm On Aug 04, 2012
It is commendable, but a bit too late. I hope they can still turn around the fire that is threatening to consume both Northern and all of Nigeria.

However, all these religious leaders exploited the ignorance of the people while it served their own ends.
Unfortunately, rearing a cub lion doesn't mean he would not consume you in a flash when it has reached adulthood.

The religious embers that these leaders fanned, particularly in Northern Nigeria, have become an all-consuming fire that will burn us all if they can't find a way to stop it right now!!!

auwal87: I am not suprised that nobody post this news here.

This is what Sultan of Sokoto and other Emirs could not utter, but their silence didn't stop the evil group from targeting them. So it is even better to comment on them and be killed on purpose.

According to the Bible Jesus "is" in heaven right now.
So does that mean those who live in heaven are all Ibos too or just Jesus?

PoliticsRe: GEJ's Racist Comment In Trinidad And Tobago by koruji(m): 1:04am On Aug 04, 2012
Indeed, the statement itself may not be racist per se, but it is wrong on many other levels - such as being "racialist".

For one, such talk by the president of the world's largest nation is "pedestrian, street talk.
It shows a crass lack of understanding of either history or the current world in which he is supposed to represent 160 million blacks.
But like I said earlier, this is now his trademark - aka "we know those behind BH".

On another level it is shameful that a president could contradict himself so badly in one statement.
How could you call for "emancipation" just so that you could "dictate" to others?
I am sorry, but the man just doesn't cut it as "president".

ekt_bear: It is a "racialist" statement. But it is not a "racist" one.
Saying that black people should stop sucking and start winning doesn't sound racist to me.

He isn't putting anyone else down.

If it is a racist statement, then which race(s) should be offended by it?
PoliticsRe: GEJ's Racist Comment In Trinidad And Tobago by koruji(m): 11:32pm On Aug 03, 2012
Everything is wrong with that statement - but I am giving u the benefit of the doubt. It is now GEJ's ID, however.

Never ever forget the story of the farmer who planted 100 heaps of yam but proclaimed 200 heaps to the entire village.

As the saying goes, when he is done eating his 100 tubers of yam he will proceed to eat his 100 tubers of lies too.

So it goes also with GEJ & his team. Truth will surely catch up to the rule of lies & innuendo.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria: FG To Form Presidential Committee On Broadband Strategy by koruji(m): 11:43pm On Jul 30, 2012
You see results? From mere announcement of the intention to form a committee about doing something about broadband.

Do you not know the ten steps to getting anything done in Nigeria? Let me help you:

3 steps of announcement of intention to form a committee.
1 step of actually forming a committee
1 step of committee submitting a report that sits on an unknown place for a number of years
1 step of forming another committee for exactly the same purpose - after 5 to 10 years of the initial announcement of intention to form a committee.
1 step of estimating the trillions of naira that would be needed to implement the second committee recommendations
1 step of junketing around the world to beg for investment in the very same venture
1 step of announcing how much of the same venture will be implemented in the next 5 to 10 years
1 step of silence till another government wakes up to the same idea - repeat process again until. . .

Meanwhile, the rest of the world have started the transition to the third generation of the same idea or venture.

Now tell me where you see results, again.

kenis: I know the intension of this post. Have no problem with that, so far I see results.
PoliticsRe: Sarah Pane: GEJ Is The Most Insulted In The World - by koruji(m): 12:22am On Jul 30, 2012
I see that you are still possessed of a newbie zealousness in the defense of GEJ. Scorecard my foot.

Is this the transformation GEJ promised? Let me remind you of the other side of your ledger that you are conveniently forgetting:

1. The FG snuffed out 19 innocent lives over the ill-advised implementation of the subsidy removal.
2. GEJ is a weak president who does not understand the meaning of providing security for his people. A president who goes around giving excuses for why he could not arrest the sponsors behind BH that he openly claims to know.
3. Broken promises - we were supposed to have 6000 MW last year - below you talk about 4000 MW like some major achievement. Shame.
4. Fighting corruption backwards - jacking up fuel prices on the poor while letting fraudulent billionaires make away with national resources.
5. PHCN privatization, PIB are all moribund, and despite what your neophyte self thinks these bills are unlikely to be passed in the lifetime of the GEJ administration.
6. Travelling right after a major terrorist attack on the home front. Equating the ability to travel to teaching BH a lesson about "if terrorism prevents us from travelling in this country we are in serious trouble".
7. Committee without end - committeee to examine the report of a committee.
8. Pretentious arraingment of "subsidy thieves" - we know they are all going to go scott-free. Your man, GEJ, is that corrupt.

Lastly, the man simply has no clue. Nobody is deceived by a cassava-bread eating display when you refuse to give up a N1 billion monthly food budget. The man goes to church on sunday to praise the God of heaven and promise Nigerians never to impose hardships on them, but saw nothing wrong with a Jan. 1 fuel price hike that crushed the spirit of the poor masses. Wolf in sheep clothing is his name.

dedeike: Then for all of you who keep exposing your ignorance of GEJ's scorecard in one year, this will help you. How many loaves off bread does Aso Rock need in a month.

Finance
finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants  to reduce waste. The checks revealed the pension scam of over 120 billion. There is the new integrated online payment system which helps the minister monitor transfer of public funds. Our foreign reserves have risen again to 37 billion dollars. There's the proposed Soveriegn Wealth Fund to cater for excess oil sale proceeds.

In Energy, a lot of reforms. The president is keen on transparency and thus has set up probes into the sector viz KPMG AUDIT and AIG IMOUKHEDE. The president sought to close the window of corruption by removing subsidy but the cabal misled Labour into a protest. That notwithstanding, the reforms are still ongoing and the full deregulation of the downstream sector being vigorously pursued. Last week, the FG had concluded the PIB which remains a landmark legislation that will revolutionarize the petroleum  industry. Refineries are undergoing repairs and an American company, VULCAN is to build six more new refineries.

In roads, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works,  dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation  of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha,    9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass  to mention but a few.

In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across t4 cardinal point of the federation

In  Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land, Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports

In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70.

In agriculture, for the first time in our history, we have a clearly defined agricultural policy which is targeted towards maximum utilisation of cassava for growth thru the launch of the cassava bread campaign. The policy is intended to reduce our reliance on imported wheat so as to encourage local production of cassava and it's conversion to flour for bakery. The FG has in less than one year eliminated the middlemen cartel that fed fat on fertiliser distribution at the expense of local farmers. Now through deregulation reforms, fertiliser is now accessible in the open market. he has also embarked on massive construction of silos and has increased import duties on the importation of rice in order to encourage local farmers. The efforts of the minister has been so appreciable that the world bank assisted with over 50 billion Naira for fertiliser redistribution scheme/ silos. The CBN has also set up a 500 billion loan scheme which is to assist farmers.

In power, the NIPP has been revived with the subsequent refurbishment of Afam, Alaoji, Calabar, GEREGU, Omotosho, papalanto power plants. This has led to the addition last December of 4,000 megawatts from barely 1700 to the national grid. To address the problem of distribution,  the 18 successor companies have been slated for privatization.  The media is already awash with news of the proposed privatization next week. The reforms include the review of tariffs in order to ensure a cost reflective tariff that will encourage private sector participation in the building of gas plants. Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state.

Dear Ms. Paid Hack, U have said absolutely nothing. You would be well served to figure out why!!! There is a reason why flies congregate on rotten stuff. . .that would be becos it is rotten!!! Apply to the GEJ presidency and all will be crystal clear to u.

emmysenior: The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties and Social Development Matters, Mrs Sarah Pane has said that the negative use of the social media by Nigerian youths is impacting negatively on the country’s image adding that denigrating Nigerian leaders through the medium has become a pastime of the youths to the extent that the Nigerian President has become the most insulted in the world. ”This is not the type of record we want. Let’s use the social media for positive interaction”, she posited.
Pane was speaking at the Discovery Empowerment Programme for NYSC that took place on Wednesday at Alexis Hotel, Jabi, Abuja which had in attendance more than 200 members. In a goodwill message, the representative of the Director General, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr. Salawu Abdulrazakpraised the programme and called for greater support from government so that more corpsmembers can benefit adding that the management of NYSC would seek ways to strengthen ties with the office of the Special Adviser on Social Development in abid to extend the programme to orientation camps. If u cant see the point then that is your problem.

BTW BO's parents were married 6 months before he was born, but this is really beside the point.

antitpiah: True, but how is that related to this thread? Is there no Nigerian that the fo/o/l/i/s/h chief could have fallen in love with? If he could fall in love with a fat White woman, I bet you there are thousand lepa-shandies of Yoruba/Nigerian descent he could have fallen in love with as well had he not allowed inferiority complex to cloud his judgement.

You may or may not be right, but that has nothing to do with what you responded to. Multiracial couples in America and the West may not be motivated by inferiority because to a large extent, there is a lot of common grounds; language, culture, geography, outlook, experience, etc. That cannot be said about multiracial couples with vast amount of differences, like the case of this deluded, fake chief from Nigeria. The desire by Nigerians to marry Whites is often born of a disdain for themselves and an unconscious drive to erase themselves from the gene pool stemming from their inborn inferiority complex

The fallacy of your reasoning is that BO's parents were never married. BO was born out of wedlock, so Dasparrow's statement is still every valid
PoliticsRe: Oh Nigeria! My Awful Experience At The Ikeja Cantonment by koruji(m): 7:30am On Jul 20, 2012
To much generalization. Falling in love is an art, not science. I doubt there are many mix race couples motivated by inferiority.

The fallacy of your reasoning is that u use BO as an illustration against mix race marriage, but BO himself is the product of a mix race marriage.

dasparrow: LOL cheesy Na inferiority complex cause am. You should know by now that many Nigerians suffer inferiority complex. Many feel that by marrying a white person, that will place them on a different level. Oh how wrong they are. They should learn from president Obama. He is married to a well educated black american woman and enjoys some good black loving and not some pinkish loving. lol
PoliticsRe: Oh Nigeria! My Awful Experience At The Ikeja Cantonment by koruji(m): 7:21am On Jul 20, 2012
You don't solve the problem by encouraging crass illegality. This is the same behavior that encouraged the Nigerian police to deport black Nigerians on the way to Abuja becos they looked like "troublemakers" and the "headman" gave orders to keep those out.

Dr. Daniyan and his wife should sue the mgt of the Ikeja cantonment.

dasparrow: God bless you jare. Ah! When I read the post, I just shrugged my shoulder because the crap that I have been through and still go through living in the western world can make me write a 1000 page book. Most Nigerians back in Nigeria treat oyibo people like some semi-gods. I am actually suprised that Dr. Daniyan's wife was not 'worshipped' like is the norm most of the time in Nigeria.

Ordinarily, I am not someone who applauds rascism or any other type of bigotry but bro, after what I have experienced living in the white man's world, I can care less what happens to oyibos in Nigeria and even in other black nations. I know two wrongs don't make a right but if more whities get a taste of their own medicine, in other words experience what it feels like to be treated so badly based on something we did not choose but rather were born with (skin colour), then they will think twice before acting rascist towards black folks in their respective home countries and maybe even rebuke their fellow whities each time they make rascist comments about people of colour.

Abeg next!
PoliticsRe: Oh Nigeria! My Awful Experience At The Ikeja Cantonment by koruji(m): 4:02am On Jul 20, 2012
Unnecessary jingoism!!!

Two wrongs don't make a right - and if the world were to live on retaliation how long do you think the febble "intelligence at the gates" could hold up.

ROSSIKE: Some of us who have lived abroad have seen far worse. Do you know how many blacks have been killed in custody by UK police? Or beaten up, stripped and searched for no reason in the US? When investigation commences it goes on for several years and at the end nothing comes of it. Officers still serving in the force, due to ''no evidence of misconduct''. Till today, blacks are 5 times more likely to be stopped and searched by police in the UK and US than whites. So sorry my dear oyibo woman who was refused entry into Ikeja Cantonment. At least you're lucky you weren't shot like your oyibo brothers regularly do to our brethren in your country. In fact I reckon people like you should experience MORE of such ''discrimination'' in Nigeria, not less, so you can appreciate exactly what it's like. In fact if I see that officer at Ikeja Cantonment I will dash him money for his efforts.
PoliticsRe: Oh Nigeria! My Awful Experience At The Ikeja Cantonment by koruji(m): 3:59am On Jul 20, 2012
This is just silly reasoning. Even if there were such a law it is not to be applied by looking at skin color. What if the woman is actually a citizen?

It is not even clear whether such laws are constitutional. If Ikeja cantonmnent is supposed to be "a high security area" then it should not be a place for a marriage ceremony.

An arbitrary nation continues to develop arbitrarily.

jamace: The soldier's action was correct.
It was just unfortunate that the guest was not aware of that law in the barracks and thereby exposed his "onyibo" wife to ridicule.

Sorry to hear about your awful experience at the hands of illiterates that call themselves "intelligence at the gates". The fools that give such orders and the mumus that enforce them are all prostrating out of sight to even lower-level foreigners.

I hope you are not discouraged by the double-down silliness displayed by many of the replies below - obviously balance and common-sense are not attributes that some brought with them on the day they entered this world.

PoliticsRe: Why I Won't Congratulate Oshiomhole - Airhivbere by koruji(m):
General Airhiavbere thinks he is INEC Chair now. Thank God the man did not win, he would have ordered Oshiomole arrested for that declaration.

Oshiomole made comments about a particular incident where voting materials were absent at 11am and voting was supposed to close at 12pm.

If he had not spoken up about that particular situation who knows what PDP and its agents of scientific rigging would have done everywhere else.

vemmawealth: After several hours of silence, the Edo State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Major General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) on Sunday said he would not congratulate Governor Adams Oshiomhole of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on his re-election.

Airhiavbere who polled 144,235 votes said Oshiomhole had earlier faulted the electoral process before his declaration by the same body on Sunday.

In a chat with journalists on Sunday night at his Benin residence, Airhiavbere who thanked the people for their support during the election said it could have been easy for him to congratulate Oshiomhole but that Oshiomhole pre-empted the system that brought him.

He said, “I won’t fully comment on the election because the acclaimed winner had earlier in the day about 1pm condemned the electoral system. He condemned the chairman of INEC for the process that has not ended”.

“That process at the end of the day declared him the winner. I will observe in the next few days before I make my comment.

“The election of yesterday (Saturday) has come and gone. I want to seize this opportunity to thank all the people of Edo State for coming out en masse to make yesterday’s exercise the most peaceful election ever experienced in Edo State. I also want to thank them for keeping faith with me. I want to seize this opportunity to PDP faithful for coming to support me.” Airhiavbere stated

PoliticsRe: After Controversies: Why Oshiomole Won by koruji(m): 11:05pm On Jul 15, 2012
GEJ could not for his own sake allow Edo elections to be rigged. He needs less enemies, not more.

The tune we'll be singing in Benin if PDP had carried out their machinations would certainly be different, but not what you imaging.

And, in what sane country is a president supposed to get credit for not allowing his own party to rig an election?

Pupita: Lousy critics, why una no go go church? I expect only Moslems and Adventists to be here on Sunday morning, you people have lost all sense of proportion. Ehen,on Oshiomole,he won yes,but if the GEJ led govt had set the wheels of rigging in motion,we would have been singing a diffferent song now, don't dispute me,unless you were not here in past administrations. For sure,Edo people must be commended, including the president (GEJ),Oshiomole,JEGA and all who made a difference today.....hate it or love it,that is ur headache.
PoliticsRe: After Controversies: Why Oshiomole Won by koruji(m): 11:03pm On Jul 15, 2012
Yes, the popular candidate won, but the post I replied to was trying to suggest that he won because GEJ protected him.

And I say not so. The popular candidates party had a machinery in place to warn off the PDP rigging machine, including putting the presidency on notice.

Hence, GEJ had no choice than to protect the votes against his own party's machinations.

In a real democracy you won't need the presidency to deploy soldiers or even massive police presence to ensure free and fair elections.

PDP was prepared to rig the vote, but ACN was massively vigilant and got the people on their side completely.

faithin9ja: isn't that what democracy, popular candidates winning. In previously rigged elections did popular candidates win? I always give Lagos as an example; popular state governor won re-election, but the GEJ won a landslide in Lagos why? rigging? or did popular candidates win?

democracy does not come easy, most developed democracies around the world are sometimes 100's of years old with their democratic process, we have yet to have 20 years of unbroken democracy

PoliticsRe: After Controversies: Why Oshiomole Won by koruji(m): 2:42pm On Jul 15, 2012
Not demonstrated jack. The only reason this went well is because the candidate was popular, and his party had a great machinery in place to counter the many well-known rigging plans by PDP.

Even on the day before the vote Oshiomole presented the fake voter's card that PDP were planning to use to rig the election, and there were reports of stuffed ballot boxes for the PDP.

The FG had no choice than to ensure the people's mandate was not thwarted since they already have too many fiascos than they know how to handle in their pocket. If ACN had being more relaxed the PDP was ready to steal the vote.

Presidential protection my foot - is that how a real democracy should be run.

Mandelaguy: In a clear democratic set up void of selfish interest, Nigeria has demonstrated the ability to conduct free and fair election, void of manipulation and presidential interference as seen by the result of the governorship polls in Edo that was released this morning. President GE. Jonathan has once again delivered on his promise of free, fair and credible election just like the one that brought him into office? The president could have manipulated the result for his party to reclaim the state they lost in the last polls, but rather chose the path of allowing Edolites choose their governor. Adams Oshiomole won this election not because he performed, but because he had presidential protection(there was no interference by GEJ amidst tight security in Edo state).

So, yes PDP winning anything must be viewed with suspicion, and their antecedents are clear for all to see - they are a bunch of professional riggers.

Johnny: Majority of the people stood behind OSHIOMHOLE because they see PDP as a party that must be defeated.....Now that the party has lost, everybody is praising both GEJ and INEC.We should say the same thing when PDP also wins election,or has the party become so unpopular to win election in this country??

You are PDP agent, so the below is for others who may read your propaganda and think it makes sense.

That is what is killing Nigeria. Always looking for free stuff - the only problem being there is nothing like free stuff in life. Maybe rather than pay toll, you would prefer traffic hold-ups of 1 or 2 hrs. Your added expenditure, if it applies to a sizable number of people, should soon be addressed by income changes as the Lagos economy benefits from the increased efficiency of the transportation system.

You can't plan to be in heaven, and refuse to die at the same time. You could hope for rapture - but heck you might have to wait for another 2000 years!

Billyonaire: PDP can win Lagos. The way Fashola and Tinubu are handling Lagos at this second term is nothing to write home about. The Lekki Road was a Public Private Partnership and I am paying toll every time I pass. What has the government done for me with my tax money ? The ACN government has not done anything to improve me or my neighborhood with the Tax money or from the Federal Allocation apart from building 5 star hotels, Airlines, private properties etc for themselves. I dont know about other parts of Lagos but VI-Lekki axis, all our projects are PPP projects, Simple. If PDP will take away the 30 yrs toll arrangement, I will vote for PDP, I remain unbiased.

You have little understanding of how to contain a cycle of violence. Let me spell it out for you.

The government must step in and actually take the role of the avenger - but with equal application on either side in response to any act of violence.

The principle is actually simple. The fury of the FG on any party that perpetrates violence, must be greater than what either one of them can do to each other.

Thus, to break the cycle of violence the government must swiftly arrest, prosecute and give maximum sentence to the LAST perperator of the violence. Here I emphasize SWIFT and LAST. Why?

When violence has become retaliatory in nature, right or wrong sides cease to exist after the first act of retaliation. What the government must then do is stop the need for retaliation by making it abundantly clear and carrying out severe, and swift "justice" on the LAST perpetrator. Once both parties get that very clear in their minds they will wake up to the need to stop, since UNDELAYED, SEVERE and CERTAIN punishment is assured. Then the door opens for peaceful resolution.

I have being saying it for almost two years now - the Federal Government must shine the light on the leaders of both sides to these violence, calling them out in the sight of the entire world, and delivering a stern rule of engagement. This open meeting is critical to prevent the feeling that the government is taking sides. Afterwards, any act of violence must be met with arrest and prosecution, did I say SWIFTLY before, and in this particular case the firing squad - broadcasted nationwide.

President GEJ understands this very well, I believe. He just needs to get those political calculations out of his head.

There comes a time when a ruler stakes even his own life, political and otherwise, in defense of the security of his people. Otherwise, what kind of nation would he be ruling where upwards of 200 people can be hacked to death any given day as a regular part of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ganye1: The STF has clearly taken sides by ordering the Fulani out of their homes and now arresting the only man who speaks their side of the story. The man is being arrested for informing the world about STF killing Fulanis & destroying their homes which was the immediate cause of the recent crisis. Now that they are embarking on another round of massacre they arrested the only man they know will tell d world.
