rationalhuman:IMO, it looks like the ISP here are only interested in beating the competition in how much profits they make yearly instead of how many customers they can retain... |
edoairways:The US got a far better business environment but data is still expensive. India's working environment isn't exactly friendly, but data is cheap. An average worker in the US earns more than workers in India but still India is still getting the better of it, down to the point a poor household can afford unlimited data and watch and download HDR content if they can, the US it's another story, with takeovers and ISP there trying to be monopolistic, which is what our country is copying. |
edoairways:Kindly explain why the US, which is way better both in I.T and IoT, has a stronger currency got a more expensive data packages than India, an upcoming tech country then. |
100naira:You haven't seen anything. People dey burn 2mil ontop lappy talkless of phone. |
fiercehillz:And they launched a new plan called "work from home" that gives users 2GB daily for over 50 days, that's over 100GB. The plan is somewhat unlimited cos it throttles to 64kb if you used all the data before expiry. Funny part is it costs about 1,300 naira in our currency. |
lordm:Dig for info before jumping to conclusions. I did and though it might sound too good, the guy is kinda right, especially if he's using Jio like most Indians use. Doing the conversion between INR, NGN n USD, 1. 2.59 USD is 194 INR and the plan can get them about 20GB to 50GB depending on the plan subscribed to. Some of those plans within this price range are capped at say 2GB per day which gives more than 50GB (on Jio, Airtel is somewhat useless there and are struggling to stay afloat). 2. Same 2.59 USD is 1000 naira and that will get us 500MB to 1.5GB (3-4GB if you recycle sim or are on welcome back). These plans mentioned are monthly plans. In other words, you're the gullible one. |
Can confirm this. One of my cousins told me the principal of her school (it's an all girls school) brought in a prophet who "prophesied" that their set will fail biology and maths unless they pay a certain sum to get "help" from the teachers. But it was above the 2k I'm seeing here... |
Aswear this country isn't good for ones mental wellbeing if one isn't connected or rich. And our so-called elders and leaders aren't making the right decisions, giving us a bad name. |
TrollKiller:Ah... |
wiseone28:Funny you should call them substandard products, like the ones littering the market aren't. And yes I know about these companies, same way I know same companies are also contracted to make devices for low-tier companies to cut cost and make huge profits with little effort. Won't be surprised this Tecno is one of them. FYI, those companies make clones of popular brands, not some already crappy device like Tecno and its ilk. |
Look if this shii happens to you, don't necessarily wait for customer reps of your network provider to acknowledge it. Instead write a complaint to customer care via their online chat rooms or send a mail (yes it sounds stupid to do this over #100 but you'll get your money back after a couple of days). This is the method I use to get my money back after a failed online top up. Relying on your ISP customer support to rectify the issue is a sure way to get frustrated easily. |

satelliteDISH:Baba na TECNO I dey see there. Stop living in denial... |
You can download the app on a better device and restore purchases (VIP subscription) provided you sign in with the mail/account you used to buy the subscription. |
Can one stream FLAC music like on tidal?? |
App has been taken down from play store. Dunno about app store... It's riddled with bugs, glitches and I don't think it was properly tested. |
This back and forth, justifications literally gave me a headache reading but lemme get to the point G25 is a rebranded P22 with a different but better instruction sets (in tech world, a 0.1% difference between A and B can make a big difference in some situations). G35 is a rebranded P35 with better instruction sets and hyperengine technology. In the gaming aspects, they should be able to support some titles but the devs of these games gotta come in and optimize the game on the chips. If some titles that play on A22 doesn't play wella on the G25 and G35 know it's not yet optimized. As for cost of the devices... dollar got a role in this, the way we view tech, labour and duties/embargos placed on electronics plays an important role too. Here we don't value shii hence we get served the same shii. Transsion assembles their devices in Africa using cheap labour but we're not seeing any positive effect on price. But if you dig deeper, get the prices of each components used in making these Transsion devices, location of the assembly, factor in the cheap labour used in making them... You'll see they're horribly overpriced. They're aggressively cutting corners but the end results is abmysal. The group they're targeting are getting smarter but it's taller display and big battery they're using to sway people and usher in a new group of ignoramuses and sometimes keep existing ones. Sorry for the epistle/rant/going off point... Whatever you choose to call it but know this... Transsion doesn't know the difference between a midranger, budget device and entry level devices, same way most out there don't. |
Since na naija u dey, u suppose know say nah scam ![]() |
oyatz:Me myself I wonder ooo. Abi they're referring to the high rate of unemployment amongst the guys alone ![]() |
I haven't gotten the plastic ID but they're implementing another one... Hope this one won't take years to collect... |
Pixel 4XL You'll get pure Android stock experience, timely monthly updates, camera is superb. S10+ if you love OneUI, want people to look at you as they do Dangote and customization (exynos is easy to customize but rather go for the snapdragon variant), still get updates but not regular like Pixel, 1440p display. |
skywalker240:Big battery plus 4G na wetin dem use spam dis thread, deceive una Now OP has won the unlucky lottery and those that enticed him to buy are suddenly silent or choosing what to say... rowland545:To tell you the truth, you're not gonna be able to return it or swap for another device, even if it's the device fault and not yours. Wish I could say warranty got you covered but Transsion doesn't know what it means. My advice is you reflash the phone, sell it or give it to your younger sibling or grandparents and look elsewhere for another device from another brand. |
