As the title says, I want to know if switching to Quidax is a better idea. The reason for the switch is luno verification ish is giving me a headache (level 2 requires voters card *it's not clear due to the poor quality* and ID card everyone knows how it is).

Read that Quidax verification is more flexible and with level 2 verification (BVN only) one can withdraw up to #5mil every month. Can Quidax users confirm this for me?

But if you need wallets, try luno. Have a national ID, voters card or intl passport for lvl 2 KYC cos lvl 1 has limit of 200k on both deposit and withdrawal which is useless if you're going to trade or hodl since ether is going to the moon.

Hodl is a term used when one holds ether or any fiat currency when the price is low in the hopes of selling when there is a price spike caused by investors and individuals buying the particular currency. An example is today, eth went from 170k to 188k which prompted investors to liquidate (sell) n make profits. Now price dropped to 168k but it's rising. The price drop is where you should buy. This method is kinda safe if your heart can't handle the high risk associated with trading.

For laptop, would advise you to get a new one, most fairly used have bad battery issues.

If that's the only problem, a new battery will solve the issue...

A good camera lens without a good camera algorithm is a waste of real estate on a "quad camera" device.

LG hands down. Samsung is good but LG TVs have the best displays out there.

iPhones doesn’t hang no matter how long or how you use it. Been using iPhone since like forever and that’s why I can say this. But battery wise, most Android phones have better battery capacity compared to iOS devices.

I clearly said it hangs when one installs a bugged app or updates to a bugged version of an app.

There's examples - in PUBG last 2 updates, some users complained of the app freezing their phone whenever they played on eragnel (iPhone 8 in this case), it was later fixed.

Future fight - during the X-Force update, iOS users (the whole lot of them) complained about the game overheating and sometimes freezing the device. It got to the point some had to restart their device. Provided they don't open the app, nothing happens to their device.

Last year or so - Apple was caught intentionally slowing the older iPhone models and we're fined.

There's lots of stories of the iPhone woes, cos you don't experience it doesn't mean it exists for other users. Keep in touch with the Apple community and you'll see complaints, with proof as well.

But I agree with you - battery life - especially from iPhone 11 below - is horrible.

The person/people that told you iPhones don't hang doesn't use the device extensively. Camera, videos and SM doesn't mean shii.

There's threads about iPhones hanging but that's because the App store got bugged apps (yes, the tight ecosystem Apple built isn't 100% perfect fanatics paint it to be).

As for the iPhone battery, if you're a heavy user and your target isn't the iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max, you'll definitely be looking for a battery replacement after 1yr (Again, camera, videos and SM don't count as heavy usage to me, gaming and streaming HDR-4k content is).

My advice to you is to buy whichever device appeals to you.

Cos right now, 865+ fully supports 144hz displays, this could mean the end of the poorly calibrated devices running 144hz via AMOLED on the 865(?).
And ROG 3 got a hidden 160Hz option. If this mode has been confirmed to run smoothly, prolly no need for an upgrade sef.

Has used in this context it means video game, why do you many nairalanders always post thread relating to game? If you are observant, most of the comments from posters are online /video games. When you visit different sites and youtube channel,it is the same thing.

Depends on the device capabilities.

If it supports a digitizer (S pen, Wacom pen), you'll see more video editing review more than gaming.

If dex mode (desktop mode) is supported, you'll see reviews about it, with in-depth on video editing and if it could be useful when "docked" (video editing or if you dig deep, programming-based reviews too and running emulators from this mode on PC).

If it's a tablet and it supports the above and it got the 120hz refresh like the iPad 2018, you'll see separate reviews on each capabilities and their advantages in certain scenarios (it's better this way cos I'm not gonna watch a YT video of over 30min tops). If you into podcasts, you'll hear personal opinions, advantages and what not about these devices too.

True but then again, the game can be used to measure the capability of the processor here, and it is kinda an accepted passive way to measure a device capability with a particular SoC before one looks at the UI and other factors.

A popular example is PUBG - if it runs with ease on max/medium frame rate and medium/HDR graphics without phone being uncomfortable to hold just after 1 hotdrop or playing TDM, without stutters cos of the high temperature, it's acceptable for other tasks without further questions.

Snapdragon 865+ has overtaken bionic a13 as the fastest processor in the world. First launched with asus rog phone 3......so i guess you can say the fastest phone in the world right now is an android phone with the rog phone 3. This will probably be a shared position or overtaken for some time by other flagships like the latest samsung galaxy note, which is also slated to arrive with the sd 865+. Another contender for the top spot could also be the lenovo legion gaming phone when it is launched.

If Qualcomm keeps this up, I fear there won't be any reason to upgrade to 875...

Ehem... You know that a powerful processor isn't just used for gaming alone or did you skip that part?

Same way a gaming laptop with a decent graphics card can be used for some heavy lifting if you can't afford a pro-grade workstation or using it for office work cos it'll guarantee you get a smooth user experience (unless you botch the OS, bios or have a bugged software installed) when they could've gotten a Pentium or Celeron based laptop way cheap

Same thing applies to mobile devices.
