God what crime have i committed for being a Nigeria? 3wiks to my graduation, ASUU did this to me yet there's no hope of calling off soon. Each time i decide to go look for a job, my instinct tells me the strike may be called of soon, what if i work for a week or two & then the strike is called off as here is not like other developed world where people get paid on hourly basis, who's gona pay me? God pls kom 2 our aid cos this has bkom a national fiasco!
PoliticsRe: New PDP 8-point Demand by Krisddon: 2:58pm On Oct 02, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: NONSENSE! The only restructuring that makes sense is RESOURCE CONTROL. Let every state control its human and material resources and pay taxes to the centre. That will automatically remove all the attraction from the centre and the states will become the new centre of attraction. Corruption and struggle for power at the centre will automatically reduce. Healthy competition among states will return. State govts that cannot survive alone will automatically merge. In fact, most of the problems we see today will either disappear or becomes a local issue (restricted to within states). Any other talk apart from resource control is NONSENSE and playing to the gallery.
you are right as regard resource control but did i hear you say that apart from it any other demand is nonsense? U're freaking kidding me! With this, i conclude that u're in gov't. Now i ask u, what about the infrastructural decay particularly the roads that need herculean efforts to fix them or the shabby educational sector? If u don't know that holding millions of youths to ransome at home for miserable 3months is a crime against morality and even divinity, then i will be forced to believe that Nigeria will never be better with ur likes in power! I live u to ur conscience.
PoliticsRe: New PDP 8-point Demand by Krisddon:
I guess there are other hidden demands which were not mentioned as they know those wouldn't attract public empathy and sympathy as well. If adinitio, these were their demands, who would have objected the faction? They're really smart guys cos i noticed most of the demands as contained there conflict with the ones we heard before in which the peak was that the president wouldn't contest come 2015.
However, if this is anything to go by, they sure get my solidarity on this particularly as regard the precarious infrastructure and the abysmal education sector. If i had known this strike would last this long, as only negative things last in Nigeria, i wouldn't have listend to my instinct which had always drew me back with hope of the strike being called off each time i thought of looking for a part time job. Well, it's all good!

If there's one thing i really hate so much as a guy, is men that don't mind their businesses! This Charles of a guy is not different from Femi. What's the big deal if Jim iyk goes for diliverance? Isn't he a human being?? There's no body on earth who is too big to go for diliverance even Charles needs a bigger deliverance from the spirit of gossip which debases a man can't you see the life of Femi Kayode now? Going for deliverance doesn't mean he's wizard or something, supposing he commited a crime, peole will still talk. Real men don't talk unless they have something reasonable to say.

I wonder why i wouldn't see the articules i have taken so much time to type and post on Nairaland's general only to keep seeing such objective and non-logical posts as this here. I just posted an articule on Nairaland's polictics section. Please is there any other way of posting a thread here and to see it on the general forum other than selecting the section, clicking on creat new, then type the topic, the main body and then post? Or are the moderators being selective? Even the last one i posted on education section, i didn't see it on the general forum here. Can some please dictate where the problem could be from? Moderators please help!
PoliticsThe Realities Of Today, The Worse Nightmare Of The Future Generation. by Krisddon(op): 10:36pm On Sep 29, 2013
The ill events unfolding everyday in our society, remind me of the song titled "i don't wana go down there" by the sensational singer 2face didbia featuring Sway. Believe me, if you were actually given the chance before your birth to choose your nationality, you would have opted for a relatively better place. The more you complain, the worse things get and in relating today to yesterday, one would almost be tempted to wish the hand of time could really be turned and there you choose yesterday over today but God forbid that my yesterday becomes better than my today cos i pray for better days. At individual level, we all pass through hurdles at one time or the other of our lives but the most important thing is how we strategically amass and effectively position ideas geared towars conquering our limitations or adversities as it does not matter how many times you fall, but your ability to stand up each time you fall. At the group level, we try to submerge our collective ideas like the waters to ensure we overflood our common enemy. Yes! The stumbling block wedging our economic growth and development.
Ever since i started developing the sense of maturity, in terms of knowing what life entails, i noticed that the average family in Nigeria respond thus "we are managing" when asked how they are doing, it was so serious that i was begining to think that studying management in school was a huge profligacy and even as it is now, it appears the the "we are managing syndrome" could be better than toworrow's language if care is not taken. I say this because the current events unfolding everyday is putting the country in the stste of political, economic and social oscillation. The politics is characterised by animosity, propaganda, calumny and all sorts of political shenanigans. Politicking following what i see as elderly rascality staged by the so called G-7 governors coupled with the threats of war from all angles is now thwarting governance according to deputy senate president Ikekwere Mmadu. This is seen in the manner in which the Baraje faction of People's democratic party (PDP) engages the presidency in cut throat rivary to vanquish in the most vied manner this has been persistedly making the daily headlines with sub captions as "ASUU strike continues and either the federal government FG is accusing ASUU of insincerity or the later is accusing the former, like little children pointing accusing fingers at each other in dodging a blame. What a shameful situation! The students have almost lost hope. Meanwhile, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP reportedly threatend to resume its suspended strike by friday, Nigerian Union of Teachers NUT at the other end of the line are more so, threatening to join ASUU in a solidarity strike. All these are happening at the time when kidnap is on the increase in the south-east and the south-west, Boko Haram out of cawardice are otiosely intensifying their offensive on daily basis on innocent citizens in the north and grounding the economic activities in the north. Senator Yerima who was also reportedly not to have performed well in his 8years as a governor of Zamfara state and even as a serving senator could only endorse child's marriage which has been signed into law the economy is apparently oscillating into abysmal sepulchre yet the minister claims that it's all good whereas some governors who couldn't endure, broke the silence and are said to haved complained about not reaceiving their monthly allocations for about two or three months now. The whole situation is so embarrassing, but i have the instinct that if the president was given the breathing space, he would have concentrated and performed better. Northerners have been formidably forced to use all sorts of mechanism to launch political kamikaze against the president all in the bid to reclaim power, just 4years out of power, they are whimpering as if they are under severe stavation. Well, i'm taking side because personally, i have not benefited anything from any government both previous and the present but let's call a spade a spade. The north have so much been in power and i wonder why a people in a plural society as Nigeria have sworn to rule others ever, God has bleesed Nigeria so the problems we are facing today are man made and can easily be resolved if the leaders are willing. We are not at war like Syria, Libya, Egypt etc. Yet 70% of Nigeria's population feeds from hand to mouth and this problem didn't just develop within the past four years, they are accumulated problems and are being worsened by some set of elite who nurture the same ideology with the uneducated. Though there's no country of the world without one or two issues bothering them but not as it is in Nigeria that one side is becoming the problem of all. With all these, i guess you wouldn't have wanted to come down here but now that you are here, don't let any body use you against the other so try and avoid any act capable of leading us to war.
PoliticsRe: 2015: Northern Leaders Woo Danjuma, Middle Belt Against GEJ by Krisddon:
This really comfirms to me how desperate these northerners could be. Freaking desperados! It shows that without power, there's no other source through which they get daily bread. So one Nigeria could be likened to literally saying? Lip service, since we have the north, the core north, the this and the that. This is so bad! What are the sins of Jonathan if i may ask? Just 4yrs out of Aso Rock and these guys are acting like thay are staving. Imagine the Baraje faction accusing the GEJ faction of massive looting and i ask, when did they divide? So is just within the past few weeks they divided he discovered the looting? Whether educated or north, the whole northerners are the same, they think alike with the ill-believe of born to rule. I imagine the possibility of this nonsense, in a plural society a people have sworn that they will forver rule others. Is it possible? Hell no! Northerners should better have a rethink and look for jobs.

EducationThe Oddities Of The Present Day Elites As Regard Education In Nigeria. by Krisddon(op):
Down with the awful and disgusting feelings that come with fever, emanating from the rise and fall of my expectations as regard ending the ongoing ASUU strike and in my docile house sitting and having some kind of tête-à-tête with my inner man as i number my plights not just as a student but a citizen of Nigeria.
When i was a young boy back then in school i wasn't only taught, i also read little of Nigeria's history, those that fought for her independence and one thing i really love about the whole thing was their zeal, selfless services and how they formidably strived and harnessed one another's efforts to ensure that the Nation was emancipated from the hands of the colonial masters. This was done irrespective of tribes or any other differnces, that's why such heroes as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir. Ahmadu Bello, just to mention but a few, are still forever young in our memories.
As at the late 70s, things were still relatively much better the Economy was functional up untill 1985 when the exchange rate was 0.894, ₦1 to 1USD. The poverty rate was even lower than 30% which is the other way round today. Agriculture as even highly regarded, as it countributed to the bulk of the country's revenue but with the romance between the federal government and oil at its discovery led to the jilt of agriculture as it was now looked at, as an old "woman". The Education sector was equally erudite. Infact, Nigeria today, is the shadow of the then Nigeria going by the present realities. I was reading a page posted here on Nairaland and i equally confirmed through the source, where the acting minister of education was quoted as saying that "for education to be revived, toes must be steped on" that left me so aghast! I see this as politicking with the Education sector and toying with the future of millions of youths who are struggling to pass through schools. So invariably, there are hands holding the education sector bound and for such invincible but yet visible hands to release the captive, its toes would be steped upon and who knows? Maybe the retribution of such action could be more severe than what we are facing now. How could it be that in all sectors of the Economy, there are cabals? Even in the Education sector? This is certainly alarming! Who are these cabals? The Education sector is incontrovertibly in the state of shabby and dangerously precarious and needs herculean efforts to rivive it. I share the same view with the Niger State governor who lampooned the appointment of the present "Oga at the top" in the ministry of education for conspicuous reason which every one knows. I wouldn't go deep or into details as i adhere strictly to the posting rules". So what i am saying is that it's high time these cabals gave way for the needed development as no country develops more than its educational development or standard. Often time i hear in the news of huge amount of borrowing by the government to finance some projects that are not even near third or second to education, going by the scale of preference. So if truely the government can't finance education or meet ASUU's demands, why can't it borrow if it is really committed to eradicating illitracy in Nigeria and spuring the country's development? Believe me, without investing in human capital development, Nigeria is going no where even in 2030. If the leaders have the county at heart, they must change their cabalism attitudinal display! The few elites have benefited alot and it's enough, the youths are angry. If i don't get education from my government, what else can i possibly get from her? Is high time the leaders realised that if the great heroes and founding fathers of Nigeria had done what they are doing today, they wouldn't have had the smiling faces to enjoy what they didn't labour for, they should know that wealth without labour is a crime. No wonder nemesis has caught up with some of them today in London. If the leaders can change, the younger ones will be a little bit eased of this monumental burden. The change starts with them, they really need to make laws and strictly adhere to them as examplified by China and Saudi Arabia if Nigeria would ever be a better place. Though there's no country without some sort of corruption or their own unique cabalism but not as scandalously high as Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Rings NYSE Closing Bell (video) by Krisddon: 12:51pm On Sep 24, 2013
So merely ringing the opening or closing bell @ the NYSE is an honour to an African president? Is it not the same bell which a common regulator assigned to it rings as at when due? Or is it Obama that usually rings the bell? I am asking cos it is apparent that too much importance has been attached to this which i see as an insult instead of honour. The importance will be seen or felt if only Obama as the the US president is in charge of the bell but if it is regulated within the Stock Exchage Market or house, it is an insult to the person of Jonathan and Africa entirely. Instead, why not the head of Nigeria's stock exhange ring the said bell? Ok, may be i didn't get it. Somebody should explain pls.
PoliticsRe: Highlights Of President Jonathan's Meeting With Obama & NYSE Closing Bell by Krisddon: 12:34pm On Sep 24, 2013
Please what does ringing opening or closing bell of New York Stock Exchange mean? Cos if it's ordinary ringing the opening and closing bell of the stock exchage just like is done on daily basis whether in Nigeria's or America's stock exchange, i don't see any reason why too much importance should be attached to it to the extent of saying that Jonathan has made history. Or is it because it has to do with America? Can someone explain cos i didn't get it. Thanks

[quote author=Yoshi-Master]1. Garri:- You'd want to switch most meals to garri, the food of champions. I hear they now have instant garri in a sachet.
2. Drink lots of water:- Helps ease hunger pangs.
I swear, this was exactly our case (me &my home boy) last two weeks. Even the instant garri was given to us by my friend's girl friend. But just yesterday, the story changed following serious prayer me made on our own and God answered. I tell u what? My guy pray hard, u must not even necessarily have 2 meet any pastor. U can pray on ur own don't depend on only ur hustle alone.
FamilyRe: How Do You Manage The Home In Time Of Scarcity? by Krisddon:
Well, we are managing. Lol... That's the language of about 70% of Nigeria's population, making it seem as if studing management at school is a huge profligacy. As the situation presents itself, we take it like that at home, yeah we try to adjust and adapt. through out last 2 weeks, me and my guy had the toughest time to the extent that we respected even G-4 but just yesterday, God touched our debtor who was oweing us 220K and he started paying by installment. Now pepper don dey rest small-small. Prayer really helped us cos we initially reported the case to NSCDC but they did nothing. Why am i saying this? It's just to encourage u too, no matter what, don't only depend on ur hustle or any of Nigeria's law enforcement agencies when ur debtor(s) refuse to pay up cos they will fail just like they failed us. May God bless our hustle!

PoliticsRe: Reps In Rowdy Session As Tambuwal Sides With Baraje-led PDP by Krisddon:
This Tambuwal has always been against Jonathan, i am not surprised cos he's a northerner. I wonder why these people wouldn't give jonathan a breathing space for once! Well, there was a statement APC's Akande furiously made but i don't think he knew the meaning. He said that Jonathan's fast raise to the level he is today, is oweing to "Destiny and Luck" my question now is, since Jonathan's success is oweing Destiny, why won't him (Akande) and the so called G-7 governors let jonathan be? Knowing fully well that destiny is ony divine and can't be bought in market. Before u attack me, i am not in any way being for or against Jonathan cos i have not personally benefited anything from him, i am just like any other Nigerian out there who always complain about each gov't. Jonathan does know my pain at the moment, but be rest assured that whether is Jonathan in power or not, it doesn't change anything so long as Nigeria is concerned. What i have seen about our politicians has made me to believe for what i haven't seen yet. Since the past and the present are the same, what makes u think that the future leaders will be different? And who are the future leaders? In the Nigerian concept, the word "future leaders" is only literally used. Puplic offices were, are and will still be occupied by those we have known ever since we were born. So if there will be any possible change, it will be through agressive revolution. The only major thing i have benefited from GEJ's administration is that, it has made me to know how much the north hate the south and the east cos we are really apart on this phrase "one Nigeria" think about it.
PoliticsRe: Soldiers Kill Ombatse Leader, Arrest Others by Krisddon: 4:39pm On Sep 17, 2013
Extremely good and shame to the police! Was it not the same Ombaste that dealt with the police mercilessly? The Nigeria soldiers are incontrovertibly gallant. All the police do every time is to extort money from struggling poor masses without the primary objective of protection. My only pain is that as these soldiers are striving to protect us from all evils of the north, their families are not well compensated when they die in the course owing to government's insensitivity. May God help and also Bless the Nigeria Military!
