Nigeria is a republic with which our political office holders are elected into office through elections. What is election? Election is the formal group decision making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public office. In lay man language, Election is the process of choosing a leader by popular vote.

Nigeria elect on the federal level, the PRESIDENT and NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. Nigeria operate multi party system with which two (2) parties are strong and others which I tag as the "UNSUCCESSFUL POLITICAL PARTIES)". It's electoral system is dual system that is Single Majority and Absolute Majority. Nigeria as it electoral body which names goes thus INDEPENDENCE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION (I.N.E.C). Nigeria electoral process is often manipulated and it process are weak.

Nigeria general election have been characterized by electoral irregularities where the future of tomorrow (THE YOUTH), are now been used by politicians in an illegal ways in terms of political thuggery, rigging of election, killing of opponent, kidnapping and intimidation during election which now encourages victimization and oppression during electoral periods.

Nigeria as a whole now makes electoral fraud or irregularities such as election manipulation, vote buying, stuffing and snatching of ballot boxes, bribing of electoral officials and the declaration of winners as the losers and losers as the winners. And if in national election, Electoral fraud comes successful it might lead to coup d'etat or corruption in democracy.

In a narrow election, a small amount of fraud may be enough to change the result even if the outcome is not affected, the revelation of fraud can have a damaging effect and if not punished will reduce voters confidence in democracy. and all these are been caused because National electoral process have been monetized such that it's only the very rich and those sponsored by rich political Godfathers who see politics as investment that now contest for political post in Nigeria. And this is not good for the growth of Nigeria Democracy, because money politics schemes out the poor and people with integrity from political participation.

However, money should not be allowed to dictate politics and electoral outcomes because it robs democracy of is "UNEQUALED STRENGTHS", of popular participation and all these leads to self indulgence, killing of innocent citizens and destruction of property.

Electorate should not fall for Election Speak that is the jargon or rhetoric of politicians, lobbyists and commentators during this campaign period. We should vote for the candidate we believe to be the best, and forget about money politics.

Election should be corruption free and at most election should be free and fair.
