What he will not tell you is that Nigeria recently changed its unemployment benchmarking.

If you look at the attached snapshots gotten from Statista, you will find that using the internationally recognized model, there is no way South East is the region with prevalent unemployment rate. Don’t take my world for it. Visit it yourself.

You lack a basic understanding of stats. Your international stats, did you check it well at all? You've done nothing other than proving the OP right. undecided

I am sure you didn't study the table, you just did copy and paste(screenshot ) without taking time to study the table.

I guess you should check your comprehension skills instead. I mean if I get a child in primary school, he or she can be able to tell me that Benue State recorded the highest unemployment rate in Nigeria during the period using the stat I shared and not Imo state as would be reached using the Nigeria Benchmark.

Furthermore, that Abia state, Ebonyi and Anambra even did better than some of the so called “lowest unemployment rate states” in the Southwest.

Now the Nigeria benchmark in layman terms, merely capture a section of the labor force that couldn’t secure any industry in 20 hours and assume such to be the entire unemployment rate.

This is not so in the International standards of the ILO which makes this same conclusion on the number of people willing and available to work- the labor force. Now I have simplified it for free for your lazy brain, I hope you don’t quote me again.

For the general public for whom I am correcting the nonsense impression being created by the OP, please see snapshot from the same link shared earlier.

Romance / Re: How Can I Stop My 23-Year-Old Girlfriend From Bed-Wetting? by KristenT: 11:24am On Oct 26, 2021
There is nothing spiritual about bed wetting na.

I know someone that bedweted till she was 25. It has a lot of psychological effect on her; low self esteem etc. Funny enough, she never did so again on her 26th year, and till date, has never done so.

So, I agree with people that said the thing will stop on it own. OP just encourage her, and know if it is Sth you can take. But if it is whether that condition will stop, trust me, it will.

Mercychen:
Shes battling such in her life, instead of seeking solution to her problem, she's busy sleeping in a guest house with a man.

Let her get bornagain first. Then go for deliverance because sometimes it's could be a spiritual cause.

Secondly, take her to a very good hospital for proper diagnosis and treatment.

At some point I started growing tired of the relationship and I was considering ending things. Something was holding me down, I don’t know what that was. It was not until she broke up that it dawned on me that it was her personal. She be marriage material 200 yards.

I actually begged her when she broke up with me, in two occasions actually.

Right now, if for ever any reason in this God green earth, and an impossible thing happens that we are the only two people in this world, I will happily die a single man!

Anyway, I'm not going to stress myself like I did during the BVN registration. You can ask yourself how that went.

If the government like let them disconnect my phone lines, the real issue is whether the telecoms company are ready to lose that much subscribers given this new directive.

Let's watch and see how it'll play out.

Family / Re: I Find Violent And Authoritative Women Very Attractive. by KristenT: 9:57am On Nov 19, 2020
Lol. You are not alone bro.

Save for the violent aspects, I love women who are authoritative, team leads, assertive yet understand that there is only one man at home.

I like my woman to be really really aspirational yet submissive. I will back her in it all, but this doesn't mean I won't be covering from my own end, I will take care of my family of course just that I don't mind if she becomes very much successful than I am.

Consider it like Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and her husband kinda relationship, or the Late Professor Dora kind of husband.

All the support she needs to make it to that place she will get it. And I have just one term: create that line between your business and aspirations and our home. Not necessary subservient, but respectful.

SweetHearted:
I am from a family whose first born is a female. She is followed by 3 other females. I am the 5th child and the last born is also male.

When we were younger,my sisters use to beat us because they were older and stronger than us. The eldest sister will beat the 2nd child to the last child. The same with the 2nd child. She beat the 3rd to the last child.

So I was brought up under authoritative females.

This has affected me because I find it hard to accept a gentle lady.

I only feel attracted to authoritative and violent ladies.

I find such ladies so attractive that I have never and can never date a girl unless she is authoritative, stronger and more assertive than me.

I always want to be close to women that behave like my sisters when we were younger. My sisters loved me but they showed the love through inflicting of pains.

So I tend to associate a woman's violent behavior to love. I seem to have compassion on women who behave violently and authoritatively.

I only find it easy to be working under a woman. I can't lead but I want to be led by woman. I can only work in a place if the head is a woman.

The last place I worked as a teacher, the head of our department was a woman. She complained that I was so obedient and submissive to her that I never even try to challenge her in any of her decisions unlike other teachers. She doesn't like such men, according to her.

Please I want to know if there is any man that is like me out there.

If so, what do you make of it.

Career / Re: My Brother's Employment Letter Was Withdrawn by KristenT: 11:16am On Nov 11, 2020
To be able to know how to assist, I will like to see the employment Contract.

Did he sign and return a copy to them?

Was there any provision in the contract that he is under probation or that his being part of the company was essential in retaining the job?
creolehunt:
About 2 years ago, my brother started working for this company as an intern. The agreement with his manager was that he will be confirmed within 6 months. After about 18months without confirmation, he resigned from the job but still kept contact with people from his former job.

Fast forward to some weeks ago, he heard that his former company needed personnel at a new branch in a new state and it's strictly an internal recruitment. So he met his former manager and expressed interest, the manager pushed his name (eligibility is dependent solely on recommendation by your branch manager) and he alongside others went through series of interviews at the end of which he was employed. Suffice to say that the HR manager was part of these interviews.

He was sent an offer letter plus other documents and he resumed last week monday. Last week Tuesday, he was called by the HRM who asked him series of questions after which the HRM said he didn't know all this while that my brother isn't an active staff and that he (the HRM) was hoodwinked by the branch manager. His argument was tgat there were other eligible candidates who could have been recommended, but the manager brought someone from outside.

Now, the offer letter to my brother has been withdrawn. Same guy that resigned his job the moment he received this offer, he has even told everyone that mattered tgat he was relocating.
Please is there anything we can do to salvage this, it's so heartbreaking. I don't know where they expect him to start from when he gets home.

Hello Everyone,

Please, I want to know how to recover a room that a tenant packed and left witj the keys.

The annoying thing is that, they are owing a year and six months rent. Please, how do I recover the room.

Thanks all

Is the house in Lagos?
What do you mean 'pack'? Is it that they have moved out? If this understanding is correct then just break the lock and replace it for your new tenant.
If however you mean, they just left, presumably to return in a future time then I will advice you to involve the magistrate court so that you are not sued for trespass or even worse, charged with stealing.

If you involved the court in this last scenario, then the court bailiff will be on ground doing the 'recovering' for you.

You can contact me if you need further information though with this email.

Politics / Re: Resident Of A State For 10 Years Should Become Indigene, Says Senate by KristenT: 6:14am On Mar 12, 2020
People who are criticizing this Amendment, are either myopic or have allowed their tribal and land-claim bias to becloud their reasoning.

You will go to America and other places, become citizen and contest elections and you will praise their society as forward thinking, mature and developed and you have the direct opposite in Nigeria and you don't think there is a problem.

You must have condemned that Cross-river state imbroglio. And you think it is not time Nigeria do away with this obnoxious policy and rule of indegenship, then you have a greater problem than I imagined.

Please read and understand before you criticized.
This Law is not saying that you are releasing your lands to a group, it only says anyone who have spent a number of years in a place be given similar opportunities as you.

Unlike ruga, it is not giving your lands to Fulani or anyone. If they need it, they have to buy it, and you can subject it to several location as you want.

When last I checked, Lagos has not deported people from Kebbi or other Nigerian state before(let us not go into the Anambra issue now) on the basis that they are not indegens of Lagos. Thus law is only saying they should not stop them by way of policy from benefiting in things you as an indegen should ordinarily benefit from.
Moreover, this amendment is successfully carried out will apply to the whole of Nigeria without reservations so why the complaint?
Crime / Re: Igbo, Nigerian Traders Attacked In Togo (Photos, Video) by KristenT: 11:53am On Jun 21, 2019
Nigeria has finally lost her place among the league of nations. Trust me, these assaults on our citizens will continue. And as we continue to cherry-pick with raised ostrich head whether the assaulted are our tribesmen, the assaults come closer to us.

A country that is responsible don't joke with any of her citizen, no matter how lowly placed or how grievous their crime.

I hope we take clue from this and realise there is no better time to unite than now.

just as many before me has commented, the thing about ethnicity is about self identification. If the ukwanis say they are not igbos it is ok. But the question is do they see themselves as not igbos out of well founded and informed choice? Or a mere minority sentiment held by certain mischievous persons? I think it is high time we told them, we are igbos not because a monolithic language place us as one but because we have traces of certain linguistic variants.
