ochukoccna: USA is a mature democracy,Nigeria is still battling to embrace civil ruleAnd if i may get you right because we are still 'battling to embrace civil rule' we should allow terrorists keep having a free unmonitored channel of communication in nigeria. Please do answer me this, what freedom exactly are you going to loose from security agencies having access to blackberry messages? |
guy1234: We are gradually going the way of China and the Arab world,we are losing our freedom. What is this govt really scared of?you can always seek better clarification on issues you dnt quite gasp. Do you knw that the NSA have access & do monitor all internet enabled systems in the USA? But of course its the USA so you wnt ask what the US gvt is afraid of nor will you fault it. Which freedom will u loose abeg? Freedom to plan and succesfully execute terror attacks through sms? The war against Terrorism must be fought from all fronts. |
This is typical of rochas okorocha. Same person who joined PDP few hours after being denied ANPP presidential ticket in 2003. A political bed hopper at its best, just how this new alliance will make him perform better or not is what i still dont get if not for his selfish gains. Lets hope he doesnt reenact his 2003 drama again |
rezzy: Were they kept in a house in the same state/country? Those girls are not smart. I think they were enjoying themselves all along in the company of those men.and i still wonder why randsom hve to b paid for kidnap victims in nigeria here, cnt u go teach them how to escape mr smart man? It will do u more good if you can google FRITZL case in 2008 Austria where a man was discovered to hve for 24yrs locked his daughter in the basement while continously havng incestous relationship wit her resulting in 7kids. |
like him or hate him, the man Soludo will continue to be confident & always responds with facts. As for his CV, its only demented bigots amongst us that see it as no big deal |
Tigerhead: Why would that clown go and welcome Mrs Jonathan other than to rub it in GEJ's face? The local party has disowned him, so why was he there? If you pinch the tigers tail you will get a response. Now he has no office. He can go operate from under Amaechi's bed.Oga Tiger I dont think you really read the article |
ARMED policemen Friday sealed off the Obio-Akpor Council of Rivers State thus complicating the already tangled politics in the state. Rivers State House of Assembly had last week suspended the chairman of Obio/Akpor, Mr. Timothy Paul Nsirim, his vice and 17 councilors following allegation of financial impropriety levelled against them by some persons who petitioned the state legislature. The Obio-Akpor Council caretaker committee chairman, Dike David Chikordi, told The Guardian that at about 2pm Friday, armed policemen led by the Rumuodumaya Divisional Police Officer (DPO), stormed his office saying he had instruction from the Rivers State Commissioner to seal off the council and that the chairman and other members of his executive should vacate their offices. Chikordi said he demanded from the DPO any legal document backing the action but none was presented. Consequently, the chairman said, he directed all members of his executive to remain in their offices. “At about 2pm, the DPO from Rumuodumaya tried to order me and my members out of the council claiming he had order from the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu. Then I asked him where is the court order that mandates him to … but he could not present any. Based on this, I told him that I and my members were not going out of the council,” he said. Chikordi, who decried the Police action and as a coup d’état, said it was surprising that the Police could be used to perpetrate unconstitutional act in a democratic dispensation. According to him, he refused to yield to the antics of the Police because he was legitimately brought to office by the House of Assembly and sworn into office by the Rivers State government. When The Guardian visited the council, scores of armed policemen had used their vans to block the main gate to the council. The Policemen who declined to comment on why they had invaded the premises of the council however did not prevent workers from leaving their offices. When contacted, the Rivers State Police command spokesperson, Ben Ugwuegbulam, told The Guardian that the Police had received security report that the council secretariat was about to be attacked and to avert this, policemen were immediately deployed to secure life and property. He denied that the Police received directives from the Presidency to seal off the council. Asked when the Police would leave the premises, he declined a response. A source however told The Guardian that the plot to forcefully remove Chikordi-led Obio-Akpor council caretaker committee might not be unconnected to a brief interaction with the wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, at the Port Harcourt Airport on Thursday evening. It was gathered that Chikordi and some top Rivers State Government functionaries had gone to the Port Harcourt Airport to welcome Mrs. Jonathan. And in the process of introducing dignitaries from the state, Chikordi presented himself as the Obio-Akpor chairman. The source said the first lady asked him if he was the suspended or the new chairman, and he affirmed that he was the new chairman. The source said the First Lady became incensed and told him that he was an illegal chairman. However, when contacted, Chikordi confirmed the interaction but denied being referred to as an illegal chairman by the wife of the president. “We were at the airport to welcome the wife of the president and I introduced myself as the Obio-Akpor chairman. She asked me “are you the suspended or the new chairman?” and I said I am the new chairman. That was the only interaction,” said Chikordi. Nathaniel734: Media will always be the ones to manufacture such stories to sell their papers, do u guys know what 30 hilux cars is? let alone 50, haba na...datz not true...the media is suppose to play a vital role in the security of lives and properties in the country, but obviously the have compromised, the now resort to creating fears and magnifying terror for thier own selfish gain.Ur point bro is that there were no pictures to support the claim of 50hilux trucks, but then our journalists have become wiser ever they too became targets for the boko guys. They'ld rather come after the deed is done than risk their necks reporting live. As for the truth behind the number of trucks, it doesnt change the fact that(even if they came on foot) those guys came as early as 4pm & did the damage they did without anyone challenging them. Infact in the report it was even a police witness that said; they did all they did 'without being challenged by security operatives'. |
and i thought i was in jokes section |
50 hilux vans and someone keeps telling me boko haram is borne out of poverty? Igbo people would say, 'the kid who buys akara to eat is busy spending his cash'. Bokoharam keep rewinding borno state |
*quietly takes my seat while waiting for the die hard ACN supporters to come do some arm wrestling with the OP* |
an all girls 'gay' party, even with guys showing up in the picture's background and some ediot still went ahead to splash these on a web page all for traffic? The day these bloggers will stop their stupid acts is the day someone will slam a huge libel suit on one of them. |
Abagworo: You are funny. I'm so sure that you could even kill the man if it was you. Let's be real. It is no news that people have been killed severally in Nigeria for causing accidents unless the person escapes luckily. The link you provided is talking about a different mob action altogether sir. My question is this, the news had it that the guvnor's accident was a head on collision. Now my question is this, considering the fact that there is always a pilot ride(at least one) before his ride, how is it possible for that man to have fitted in between the pilot ride & the guvnor's ride & still had a head on collision with that much impact as their injuries suggest? Couldnt it be that the guvnor's ride left its lane & ran into the mans ride either while the victims ride is oncoming or stationary? need some honest answers sir please |
eko ilee: What about the the pics of suspension bridge with columns all over like like the one in Canada up there?A suspension bridge is a type of bridge in which the deck (the load-bearing portion) is hung below suspension cables on vertical suspenders.Bridges without vertical suspenders have a long history in many mountainous parts of the world. This type of bridge has cables suspended between towers, plus vertical suspender cables that carry the weight of the deck below, upon which traffic crosses. This arrangement allows the deck to be level or to arc upward for additional clearance. Like other suspension bridge types, this type often is constructed without falsework. The suspension cables must be anchored at each end of the bridge, since any load applied to the bridge is transformed into a tension in these main cables. The main cables continue beyond the pillars to deck-level supports, and further continue to connections with anchors in the ground. The roadway is supported by vertical suspender cables or rods, called hangers. In some circumstances the towers may sit on a bluff or canyon edge where the road may proceed directly to the main span, otherwise the bridge will usually have two smaller spans, running between either pair of pillars and the highway, which may be supported by suspender cables or may use a truss bridge to make this connection. In the latter case there will be very little arc in the outboard main cables. excerpt from wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_bridge i am not arguing over design, my point is that you can not call that a suspension bridge when the supposed deck that are supposed to be suspended by cables are perfectly resting on columns that are bearing the load. Which part of the bridge is being suspended hia please |
shymexx: https://i.imgur.com/Vyp2fNC.jpgekoilee called me ignorant for disputing this as a suspension bridge even with all the columns from the water carrying the load.please which part of the deck are the cables suspending? I rest my case. |
eko ilee: This is a suspension bridge so tell me the difference ...with all due respect sir, all through the length of the bridge in the pix u posted that spanned across the water, did you see any column(s) supporting the bridge asides the column handling the suspension cables? |
Abagworo: That's the reason why I have a feeling he could have been paid to do that. Remember Oshiomole's case. The coincidence was too precise. We've not confirmed if it was head on collision or he came from the side and hit the Governors car.U mean u r yet to confirm if it's a head on collision yet the article said it was a head on collision? Your defence & other theories you presented above have a lot of holes sir. Long and short of it all, rochas okorocha erred on this oga. |
@Abagworo please stop avoiding my question. How is it possible for a driver to carefully avoid the pilot vehicles of a guvnor's convoy & still gt to score a head on collision wit the guvnor's vehicle and yet the other victim is to be blamed. |
eko ilee: its a cable stay bridge which is another form of suspension and the cables are not there for fashion, the cables are integral part of the structure..u mean u can still call that suspension bridge even with the obvious supporting collumns underneath? Look at the second picture that was posted by shymexx |
thinking back i could remember the supreme court's judgement that brought amaechi unto power, which ordered his immediate swearing in as the governor of the state, basing their ruling on the fact that the constitution only recognises political parties in elections and not the candidates paraded by the parties. If going by that judgement & looking at wat is presently unfolding, if amaechi leaves pdp or gets expelled, wont the seat be declared vacant since the supreme courts interpretation means the seat was voted to pdp & not amaechi? |
abagoro: You are not being logical here. The Governor was driving and someone suddenly rammed into him but he was lucky to survive. There are questions begging to be answered which you and I do not know.you still haven't explained to me what i asked of you sir. |
wonder how the image of the bridge posted by the op is supposed to translate to a suspension bridge while columns are very visible under the bridge. Please where are the suspending cables cos i'm yet to see them. BRF's gvt built a ramp bridge not suspension |
abagoro: They earlier posited that the accident was stage-managed but now that the 3rd party has been revealed, they've resorted to cheap blackmail. Someone rammed into a Governors convoy and he wasn't shot but detained and people are complaining. I'm so sure that if it were most Governors, they would have ordered the person killed at the spot. What we are yet to ascertain is if the man was paid to ram into the Governor.please i seriously need ur clarification over the collision. Was the guy that 'rammed' into the guvnor's convoy driving a bulldozer? Cos i know no elected official in nigeria moves around with less than two pilot vehicles & maybe two or one escort vehicle. How was the said man able to perfectly fit his 'bulldozer' between the last pilot vehicle and the guvnor's vehicle to be able to score a head on collision of that magnitude? I need help understanding this part please. |
a tale of two citizens One leaves from the accident scene to the nearest hospital for first aid, to the UK for further 'head examination' & then to isreal(maybe for thanksgiving). While the other is taken to FMC owerri, not minding the distance from the crash site (he can die along the way for all they care after all he's an enemy to the state) then from FMC to prison to cool his brains & probably be given the NPF's treatment after which he'll confess to being sent by a rival politician to ram into the 'people's guvnor's' car. So much for democracy |
Demdem: 2 issues here.mister broad thinker these were your words earlier When its time for the retardeen to seek his party support during the primaries, these suspended members are automatic delegates. I wonder if they will be willing to vote in the retardeen Need i remind you that by implication it shows u mean they are still party members? Now you are talking about court ruling in a matter that is yet to receive a final court pronouncement. Plz dnt try to twist what you wrote |
Demdem: me like the way things are turning out in PH. Surely, the killer party party will never remain the same ahain in Rivers. When its time for the retardeen to seek his party support during the primaries, these suspended members are automatic delegates. I wonder if they will be willing to vote in the retardeen, besides the party cant boot them out from their official positions. Surely, retardeen's support even in his stronghold has dwindled. Nice development.and if i understood what you wrote up there, suspended party members are automatic party delegates from same party that suspended them? Seriously i doubt if some of you guys read what you post |
franchizy: Thank u my dear. Pla don't mind the fools commenting rubbish here. Tell me where it is stated in the constitution 4 a party chairman to sack elected officers. kokoA: A state pdp chiarman removing elected members from office? I can't believe some so called educated nairalanders believing this beer palour gist. Smh.Must you be told that the suspension is from their political party(PDP)? Reading and Comprehension no be brothers i swear! |
PDP Rivers state have long triggered the self destruct button of the state. Taking my seat & watching as the carnage unfolds |
Tolexander: no!aight man. But on that note you wldnt expect them to come say they received $3k bribe na, there must be a title given to it to justify the act |
Tolexander: that isn't my point!i believe your point is that calculating the total cash he gave them($180k) it is enormous right? Welcome to the world of subsidy players in nigeria were a single scam will fetch you billions of naira(the $180k is not even up to a million dollars, change to them). Add that to his genuine businesses then you wldnt find that too funny. |
