u must be really delusional to compare hitler with murtala. Murtala didnt become head of state through coup. Gowon did after ironsi plotted nigeria's first coup. I refered u to wikipedia. Go and read about him, get ur facts right before coming to post what u have half knowledge about
Word of advice sir, Wikipedia is not really a good source for reference that is why it can never be admissible in academic works as a reference source because it is open source document whereas anyone can login and edit or posit a write up there. That said, I believe you should be the one to read more about MM as it is on record that he spearheaded the 1966 coup and the subsequent one that toppled Gowon. As a matter of fact, he wanted to head the SMC after the 1966 coup despite being a jnr Officer below the ranks of Adeyinka, Babafemi, Gowon and Ojukwu. His coup plots are known to be arrogantly styled that in both occasions he openly announced it to whoever cared to listen. As a matter of fact, he told Gowon's CSO when planning the coup against Gowon blankly that there was a plan for a coup and he could go reveal it to anyone he liked.

Usual misleading publication by vanguard, when did it happened? At what event or meeting the instruction was given? Stop talking to the press will not withdraw the petition already submitted to the anti graft agencies. I was thinking you wailers were accusing the presidency of sponsoring this allegation to remove Dogara, you people always think forward and backward at the same time. Even looking at it critically, is it the press that are to investigate the allegations? Let the investigating agency speak to the press not the petitioner and the accused. Useless journalism for clueless and gullible wailers.
Is the attached picture proof enough for you or would you challenge me further about the authenticity? The sooner you realise that the problem of all of us in this country is this same political elites you are fighting this hard to shield the better for us all.

Sometimes i wonder how people like you are able to lie down, close your eyes and sleep peacefully. The IMN were forming a govt in a govt but during election campaign era, now president Buhari and El Rufai openly visited Zakzaky and canvassed for votes from him and even condoled him on his loss from the same Nigerian army under Jonathan. Then assuming your assertion of forming a parallel govt is true, they didn't care because anything that will kill that administration is welcome. You support Nigerian army visiting a place of worship that was unconnected with what happened and as if it was full blown war, levelled the place and killed all there, may God pay you back same way as you had justified what befell these people

This poor statement by this man explains a lot about what we are going through in this country presently. Which government that wants to progress that will exclude the private sector from it's economic management team? That is exactly why you guys keep doing trial and error policies with the economy. Last time i spent days searching for SAFEGUARD soap, only to be told that since this year, the manufacturers have not manufactured any fresh batch. We are in the 7th month of the year, think about the implications of that in terms of job losses and lost revenue all because some set of people who belong to stone age think it is safe to play politics with economic management of this country. Sadly people will still cheer them up even when they are the ones at the loosing end

This is the style of media coverage that has been bedevilling this country. A company is a legal entity on its own and i don't understand the logic behind a profit making entity like SPOG (which owns petroleum tank farms even in lagos way before their oga(stella) became a minister) buying a vessel and you term it "unexplained"? Have you audited the company's books and it is unsatisfactory? Is there a link for the source of fund coming from stella or did you guys just mention her to sensationalize your news? Our media outlets are just plain mischievous and sometimes out on personal agenda
PoliticsRe: EFCC Probes Illegal Transfer Of N216.7m From CBN To Fake Account by kross01(m): 9:30am On Jul 05, 2016
Now i fully understand why the media is Nigeria’s biggest problem. This same story was in punch or thisday of last week Friday and the reporting is totally different from this. And for those who would care to know about the true story of this man; he tendered for a contract with FIRS but a corrupt syndicate that controls FIRS contracts approached him and offered him some cash in order to forget about the contract execution to which he plainly refused. Not knowing his firm had won the contract, this syndicate went ahead and opened a bank account with his company's name and used it to receive the payment for the contract. The man only found out about this a year after when he filed his company's tax returns and was being investigated by FIRS for not declaring that 215 million paid to them for that contract. The man took the case up and wrote to the appropriate authorities, the same syndicate approached him and offered him 5 million and 10 million later to let the case die and forget about the contract as they have already handled that end with FIRS. The police officer that was in charge of this case then was DIG Aresa who later became the IGP who later told the man plainly that he has been offered cash, why is he interested in making trouble? Cut the long story short, Aresa made sure he frustrated this man's case and just few days to his eventual departing the NPF, his parting gift to this man was a memo directing that the NPF prosecute the man for lies. EFCC just woke up to this case

This new one will probably have new consultants, new secretariat and staff and probably every single spending will start from foundation again. Just wondering when our leaders will truly learn and act in the best interest of Nigeria and not massaging their ego.

I agree with you 100%, we need to understand why the Police were unable to carry out their responsibilities for all of 6 months over a reported case of child abduction. This is where i want us to focus on, instead of only Yenusa and spewing insults at Northerners, Emir Sanusi and Islam. Human rights and social media activists must demand a probe of the police and all those involved in this case. What or who handicapped or compromised the police from effecting the release of Ese?

After all said and done, i am still appalled by the apparent helplessness of Ese's dad for the whole of six months. A small school incident happened to my little son last week, he was bitten by a fellow student while in class. I went to the school and raked seriously, i threatened to report the school to the lagos state ministry of education. I did not even wait for my wife who i believed was being too complacent. The proprietor apologized and almost suspended the class teacher. I felt satisfied after a promise that such would never be allowed to happen again.

I was not happy that it was the mother that traveled to Abuja to retrieve Ese and not the father or at worst both of them. I believe a man is the protector and head of the family.
As much as i understand what you are getting at but i still don't want to lay all the blame on the man cos for all i care he failed in some aspect of fatherhood. That being said, let's use ur child's experience as a case study, assuming we are to replace the school's proprietor with the emir do you think you would have gained access to him just like that? Or you would have stormed his palace registering your displeasure just like that? Without standing the risk of being mobbed at the palace? Just give him some credit cos i don't think there would have been a better step to take than going to the police. What stopped kano police from doing their job is what we should try to get to

Apologies for my ignorance, i do not watch AIT, i only watch sunrise daily and news at 10 on channels. I have searched the internet for more details and i found a nairaland link that has a bit more details - https://www.nairaland.com/2961988/kano-man-abduct-bayelsa-girl
It seems it was the mother that responded immediately by going in pursuit of her child, the father did not travel until more than two weeks later. To me the man should not have allowed his wife to travel to Sharia north alone.

The report says Ese's father travel to kano on September 2, with his wife and 2 police men, after seeing the emir who says he had ordered the release Ese since august 26, what further action did Ese's father take? Did he inform the emir that his order had not been obeyed and that he should give another order for Ese's release. Why did he not immediately petition the state commissioner of police, the IG, the house of representatives and senate (through his representatives), etc. I am at loss at to why it took 6 months before they took the matter to a human rights group. If the father had informed someone as influential as oby ezekwesili, i am sure just a phone call to emir Sanusi would have gotten Ese released in a matter of days. I hate being in a state of helplessness as portrayed by the father. A man is supposed to protect his family using all available means.

This Ese's saga requires a thorough investigation, we need to know the roles played by every body involved andappropriate punishment given. We need to determine the the hierarchy of laws in Nigeria, why can't state institutions enforce federal laws?
I will attempt to answer your questions as best as i can,. Firstly, my comments were based on what the man said to AIT reporters where he said that he went to Kano in the company of two police officers and after one week they couldn't secure the girls release. You also need to look at the man in question and tell me if you think that man is exposed to social media for all i care that man may not even know who Ezekwesili is or anyother, so called activist is for that. What i expected to hear you discuss on is why police officers dispatched from bayelsa police command spent 7days in Kano going between the kano police command, Kano Emirate council and the Kano sharia council? Should we now choose which authorities to obey, where to obey them and why we should obey them? To the extent that one of the top police bosses (not sure if it's the AIG of the zone or the CP) said that they were waiting for the emir to return from hajj before they can go clarify with him before taking the girl back. Whose authority between these two institutions does our Constitution convey such powers on? That my friend is the fundamental problem of the country. Our laws are selective in application

This is why i have been cautioning all those hate filled ethnic bigot, they have not heard all sides of the story and they immediately start spewing insults at other tribes, regions and religions, they even care less for Ese and her wellbeing.

The person with the most blame in this Ese saga are the parents, especially the father. His daughter was missing from home since last year's August and he is aware of where she is and has is still sitting cool in Yenagoa, i did not hear reports of him going to Kano or even Abuja to retrieve his daughter, it was the mother i heard that did all the travelling. in the Muslim north woman are not accorded much respect, so i doubt she would have attained much by herself unlike if it was a man that went. If it was my daughter that that was abducted and was told the location where she is kept, i would travelled there immediately and would raze the roof down. i would not leave there without my daughter. I do not understand how the parents would leave Ese in kano for over 6 months while they are sleeping in Yenagoa. I am sure the real truth is yet to come out as to what really transpired that led to Ese running away from home. What led to Ese being so unhappy as to find solace in Yenusa's arms and preferring instead to be abducted?

The situation has become infinitely more complicated with Ese's pregnancy. what now becomes of Ese and the baby? Will Yenusa and family be entitled to any responsibility concerning the baby? or do we assume the child will be a bastard (fatherless)? or even maybe Ese should abort the over 5 month's pregnancy?
Please shut it if you are unsure of what to say. Go watch the piece AIT did on the family, the dad was the first person to go to kano accompanied by TWO policemen from Bayelsa after having reported the matter to Bayelsa police command and guess what, they spent SEVEN good days in kano without any headway. Seven good days trying to get the emirate council of the North to release one's daughter to him even as he did accompanied by government representatives. My dear, there's no justification for what transpired on this poor girl's case and unless u want to keep living in denial, there's another law (sharia and emirate) the northerners obey and to them supercedes the Constitution of the FRN. Stop blaming the parents of the girl cos their efforts were frustrated from the get go, save for the media outcry they would have resigned to their 'fate' on this.

That number includes almost if not all PDP ex and present government functionaries, sadly majority of them make up your present party train including two ex-governors 'pardoned' by your party and rewarded with a governorship ticket, while one promised to return his loot if reelected (sadly he died without fulfilling this), the other is busy causing mayhem in his place just to win an election. You see you can't talk about corruption in this country without visiting the past and if you visit the past then you will surely visit APC no matter how hard you try not to.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan’s Ministers Lose Severance Package by kross01(m):
Sometimes i wonder what media outlets like the nation stand to benefit from sensational journalism if not to throw up issues where there is none. You quoted a clause & the clause says:
A clause in their appointment letters reads in part: “Severance Allowance of 300 %of Annual Basic Salarypayable after full tenure of office with government. The allowance will be pro-rated after a minimum of two years tenure.”
It was learnt that some of the affected ex-ministers barely spent a year or three months in office.
http://thenationonlineng.net/obanikoro- shekarau-other-jonathans-ministers- lose-severance-package/
please tell me how this denies them entirely of ANY severance package and before u quote or reply me, go find out what payment on pro-rata (pro-rate) basis means. The way laws are suddenly being translated in this country to suit one's agenda will only worsen things in this country in due time

This feat is really the effect of SPECIAL CENTERS located in the state. SPECIAL CENTERS made possible by deliberate government policies of Peter Obi and sustained by Willie Obiano but guess what, because they are not APC members, they must be demonised and their achievements downplayed if not denied out rightly. But then there's something about nature and by extension Anambra people, the more you deny them, the more they rub it in your face. Kudos to the victors, keep shining the light of Anambra wherever you go.

@ the picture, i believe we are looking at a very good resource manager / planner. The weather is too cold for him to venture out and he has no clothings on, best thing he did; climb into a hole. As he was there he used the Limited resource he had (ladder) to put up fire and keep warm. Notice that he was careful enough to leave studs on the left side of the ladder while knocking them off, which was what aided him in getting to the present height whilst knocking off the ladder and keeping warm. At the end he will achieve two things ; keep warm and alive till storm is over and once it is over, step on the studs on the left remainder of the ladder and get out

PoliticsNigeria's Second Senate President, Nwafor Orizu; Setting The Records Straight by kross01(op): 6:18pm On Aug 22, 2015
This subject is a direct response to this topic https://www.nairaland.com/2543053/check-out-nigerias-2nd-senate i saw at the front page today. Going through the comments of most people in that topic, i could'nt help feeling pity for the extent we have so degenerated as a nation and people. why do we Nigerians find so much pleasure in running down our illustrious citizens? little wonder why a lot of Nigerian professionals outside the shores of this country, refuse coming back to serve in their fatherland as we play a brand of dangerous tribalistic and religously toxic politics of pull-him/her-down by all means possible and impossible. let me kindly reproduce below, a cursory write up on 'the prince' Nwafor Orizu by TIME magazine, on Monday, Jan 01, 1945 so that some of us will better understand the status of the man prior to returning to serve Nigeria and rising to be our senate president.

Akweke Abyssinia Nwafor Orizu, of Manhattan, is a tall, black, sober young man of 24 who calls himself "Prince Orizu." He uses the title only to impress whites with the fact that Africa has traditional governments of its own. His hearers are usually sufficiently impressed to ask what he is prince of. His answer: Nnewi.
Nnewi is a progressive monarchy in the British Protectorate of Nigeria. A. A. Nwafor Orizu was offered its throne in 1938, on the death of his father, Ezeng-bonyamba I. Last week in his Manhattan office he explained why he hardly warmed the throne before turning it over to his brother. His ambition: to educate in turn: 1) Orizu, 2) Nnewi, 3) Nigeria, 4) Africa.
Says deep-voiced Prince Orizu: "The type of education that is safe for our peace is the education that has no bitterness." His recently published Without Bitterness (Creative Age, $3) throws some bitter sidelights on the intellectual darkness of his native continent. The illiterate Nigerian man-in-the-jungle outnumbers his educated brother by more than ten to one. Orizu believes that only universal free education can help to stem the growing spirit of revenge in his long-exploited continent ("Can it be that my Africa is without brothers?"wink.
Pragmatism and Polygamy. Though Europe's universities outrank the U.S.'s in Nigerian esteem, Orizu heard American universities praised by a fellow countryman, came to the U.S. in 1939, at Ohio State took his degree in government with honors, proceeded to an M.A. at Columbia. Through his American Council on African Education he has thus far secured 150 U.S. college scholarships for his countrymen. In a few months he expects to go home (where he may or may not resume the throne) and begin working at first hand to improve Nigeria's 36,626 schools, 380,305 pupils. Nnewi and three other Nigerian states, he reports, have already contributed more than $120,000 for new colleges.
A strong believer in cultural reciprocity, the Prince wants Nigeria's 23 accredited colleges to offer research-scholarships to U.S. students. Besides such hard-to-find courses as Arabic language and Nigerian history, they would provide Western visitors with insights into Nigeria's "stable family system and immaterial culture."
Prince Orizu is so literate that he has no time for the movies or dancing, once missed an appointment because he read himself to the end of the line in a Manhattan bus. His idol is Patrick Henry, one of his favorite words is American philosophy's "pragmatism," and he does not like to be called "chief." Pragmatically, Orizu has not yet decided whether polygamy, which was good enough for his father (at least 170 times a groom), is good enough for him.
as condescending a writeup the above TIME magazine article is against a black,The essence of this topic is to enlighten some of us to know that Nwafor Orizu, prior to the independence of this country Nigeria, was already a notable and fulfilled individual and NEVER amassed his wealth because he was the second senate president of Nigeria.
Nairaland have degenerated from the platform i admired so much back then to where tribal warfare are carried out each day, i really hope this brief history note is not to be turned into a tribal warfare ground.

You see, i am not in a contest with you, we are not flexing muscles over ibadan this or that, i addressed an issue with verifiable facts and figures of areas of the various malls, what i expected to see in that your newspaper link is a statement of fact that the new mall you are talking about has say 50,000m2, then i would have taken that as a correction and updated my knowledge base but no, u just want me to notice your presence, i have bro, & i have also indulged you, now keep moving & go learn how researches are made and arguments are won.
Have a nice weekend
PoliticsRe: Why PDP Is Objecting The Use Of Card Readers – Fashola by kross01(m): 8:15am On Mar 11, 2015
This is the reason why we can never progress in this country, because everything in this country is either politicised, or turned into an ethnic or religous issue. People pointed out earlier that INEC was ill prepared for Feb 14th polls, APC took it upon themselves to posit for INEC, their preparedness.today, weeks later, we all know better.PDP today has taken a stand as regards this PVC and nobody wants to take a critical reasoning on what they are projecting. You cannot promote the use of PVC as an anti-virus for rigging and still introduce a human interface in the process and still claim there wont be rigging. let me make it clear here as i take same stand with PDP on this issue, once the idea of INCIDENCE FORM which INEC is talking about is still allowed in this election, then there will be a massive rigging and the winner will be a case of who outrigs who.if we are to use PVC readers, then it should be 100% so nothing like incidence form should come in.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Current Petrol Pump Price Better Than That Of The USA by kross01(m): 4:32am On Jan 20, 2015
same people clamoring for low pump price are same people that will occupy naija if subsidy is removed today but then you can't ask for such low prices without deregulating the petroleum products market and allowing the forces of demand and supply determine products prices and thus private refineries can come on board
PoliticsRe: GEJ Gave His Best Speech Ever In Lagos Today by kross01(m): 6:09pm On Jan 08, 2015
Adminisher:
Jonathan spoke differently in a more passionately aggressive way but he has given material for a lot newspaper many articles and lots of campaigns topics to APC.
1. He concentrated on youths but many young people have died in employment queues after paying N 1000 tor jibs
and the minister is still on seat. 200 young girls are still missing as we speak.
3. He questioned the defence and security credentials of Buhari and he has just run into ambush. Buhari defeated
foreign invasions twice as ordinary brigade commander without waiting for instructions. He stamped out the sect called maitatsine.
4. Jonathan asked how many weapons Buhari bought for the armed forces and he will be replied to show what weapons have been procured so far with about N2 trillion naira defence expenditure and why it is not making a difference.
5. You Win and other youth empowerment picky started just about a year ago. The game t is not lost on anybody that they are mere election year programs.
Kindly confirm your information before publication. YOU WIN started off in November 2011, thank you.
PoliticsRe: We Are Not With Buhari’s Original Copies Of Certificates — Army by kross01(m): 9:11am On Jan 03, 2015
naijadeyhia:
most of the people here do not even try to read between the lines. Even if the ''source'' said they are not with the originals it means they are with something but not the originals. They keep copies as backup and for record purposes. Buhari must have said the army has his documents because Sambo said his gpt burnt and only wanted to send the PDP on a wild goose chase since without any investigation INEC accepted Sambos word. Besides Sambo was GEJs vice in 2011 and his house wasnt burnt before his installment as VP so does that mean that INEC never demanded for his educational records back then?

You all dont seem to know that anytime u hear Buhari thos and Buhari that its all the handwork of GEJ and PDP because they know the man is a real threat this time.
You need to remove your lens of partisanship if you are to objectively weigh this. Constitution of the land allows minimum educational requirement of O-level, Sambo's affidavit only talked about his first degree and masters degree getting burnt his O-level was tendered, and mind you with the reforms of the past few years in terms of electoral act and FOI act, what is happening now is purely INECs doing. So tell me should we take the general's words for it at the expense of our constitutional requirements?
