The main purpose of river ports which onitsha port is one, is to increase the penetration or intermodalism of water based transportation, and as such is characterised by such crafts as barges and others requiring reduced draft. An ocean goin vessel cannot find its way to onitsha port, and incase you dont know, dredging of chan
nels is a continous process that is carried out on regular intervals to maintain a mean draft for the channels all year round, simply put, its not economically feasible

nigerian government as a whole have a problem of misplaced priorities.now they are rubbing shoulders with the likes of germany & france, yet they cant boast of half the efficiency of germany's health care system or of any of the other countries mentioned. I was in a branch of one of the new generation banks in Festac town a few days ago, while waiting for the customer care rep. This drama was unfolding before me. The young man, who apparently was a victim of fraud came to lagos from maidugri for the first time on the invite of a friend whom he called Jimoh, to buy a car; a Golf 3 to be precise. According to him, Jimoh is an engineer that works in maidugri there, and it was him(jimoh) that connected him to the owner of the car who agreed to sell the car for 480k. After having seen the car, he went to access bank and deposited 350k into the car owner's account & also proceeded to zenith bank with Jimoh to complete the payment. As he was doing that, Jimoh said he's developed running stomach & needed to run home 2 offload , that was the last he saw & heard from jimoh & the car owner accomplice as their numbers stopped going through & even when it did, no one answers. I didnt follow up to know what the bank later offered to do for him cos as of that time(a day after they did the transaction), the car owner had gone ahead to empty the acct but Just so everyone out there be careful whith their dealings, apply caution in every aspect of biz please.

Batch C corp members left camp on November 27th, and resumed on December 3rd. I didn't have the time to go through the whole story, I would have brought out more points to show that this 1di0t just wants to make front page. Un4tunately, he/she succeeded!

According to ur write up, batch C corp members left camp on d 27th, back dating d usual 3wks they spend in camp will leave them probably arriving the camp on the 5th, & as she claimed her brush with her boss was on the 1st(being a thursday) & the next week 5th was a monday. These two days are usually d CDS & camp opening days respectively. Couldnt it be that what she said about the NYSC officials being busy with resuming corp members was in reference to their resumption in camp which we all know all NYSC officials are actively involved in??
