Phones / Re: SIM Verification Exposes One Person With 57 Registered Sim Cards In One Network by kross01(m): 12:48pm On Feb 14, 2020

The fact remains, Alhaji can register a SIM in the name of Ahmed the Sugarcane seller and keep paying Ahmed 1k for each registration.

Unbeknownst to Ahmed, Alhaji runs a kidnapping network and so Ahmed is part of a criminal organisation by way of negligence or ignorance.

The NCC has decided to be helpful to the populace by insisting a customer can only be limited to 3 SIM cards and I'm sure this is a useful policy.

The Nigerian state has become so irritating that every policy is first opposed without reason, despite that this policies are oftentimes introduced to protect the very same Nigerians.

Now you are saying an entirely different thing sir. The man said an individual registered 57 different lines to his name. In your example, alhaji registered the sim not in his name but in another ignorant person's name because he knows ab initio that his intention for such is crime. Now i ask you again, logically speaking, which criminal will register 57 different lines to his/her identity? People have earlier given instances on how one can innocently have 57 lines linked to one person; one can be a sole proprietor of a business and wants to do a CUG for his/her workers and register all those sims to his name, one can be a transporter wanting to track his fleet and register those sims to his name (as each tracker will require a sim card), one might want to install internet enabled cctv cameras in a property and each camera will need a sim in order to transmit images real time, the examples are many. Nobody opposes a good thought out policy but the problem with most of our political leaders is they always fancy the easy way out which in this case is to pronounce max sim per person as 3. Without thinking about people it will genuinely affect.

Then the Telecoms companies are to blame.

If you come into the country and after being away for so long, you need a new SIM, the company should reissue the same SIM to you and not provide you another.
Are we not saying the same thing? The reason why i for example will have an mtn, 9mobile, glo and airtel lines is not because i love to carry phones but because of various degrees of inadequacies of these providers, one is trying to adjust. Some places u will be and you can't browse with glo or other place you can't call from your mtn, even phone manufacturers started making phones with multiple sim slots because of africa's mobile network problems. So instead of rushing to the media to complain how one man registered 57 lines why not work from your end to see that these providers improve their services to international best practices and watch that owner discard the multiple lines, that is if he genuinely didn't have a need for them. Cos for all i care, logically speaking, a criminal will not register 57 lines to his/her name and use same for illegal activities and there is no law that limits the number of lines one can buy.

As always, they will first of all rush to the media first and convict the person before doing due diligence. What if that person is a small business owner that wants to do a CUG with the registered lines on the network for his/her employees? Or a Nigerian in diaspora that will register a new sim each time he/she comes into the country? Or like people earlier mentioned, someone wanting to enjoy data bonus from the network. But they will prefer to always put the cart before the horse for want of sensational headlines and to pass off as working politicians.

This exactly is the reason why i will support Air peace on this. An event that happened close to a year ago that even by your own submission you confirmed that you have flown Air peace numerous times after the incident to as recent as last week. If Air peace didn't consider you consequential enough to bar you from flying their airline that period when the memories of your alleged criticism was still fresh in their minds is it now they will have your time? Abi Oga Joe haven't flown Air peace since last year? This one just likes making himself a willing farm tool.

Speaking further on the gridlock experienced in recent times, the Commissioner described the occurrence as man-made, stating that the enforcement team will ultimately ensure sanity on all roads across the State.
If we must tell ourselves the truth, this right here is a bare faced lie. Lagos roads are awful right now and they are the number one cause of the gridlock. From Apongbon, to Ahmadu Bello way, to Eric Moore, Babs Animashaun, Ijora, ejigbo are all competing to outdo themselves on bad roads. Lagos is grinding to a halt with these bad spots that need critical urgent intervention as people are spending productive times in needless gridlock

This merger that looks as if the two banks just woke up one day and decided to announce merging. Their customers have been suffering it at the ATMs especially during the weekends. You will try to use a diamond bank card on an access bank ATM and you will see 'financial institution not available' or ' switch or issuer inoperative' and most times it will still pay access cards right before you. The queues at their ATM's these days can be soo annoying. Who never chop belleful, go dey carry another person for back. Merging no be by force naa

There is nothing wrong with MC Oluomo speaking in his capacity as the Chairman of NURTW, nothing. He is not going there as an APC henchman, he is going there as a leader of a union that has something to contribute to the discussion on ground.

Not everything should be an opportunity to be up in arms.
A union that as far as i am concerned, their only contribution to transport in Nigeria is extorting motorists of funds they don't even remit wholly to the government and violence whenever they want to fight for who controls which park. I still would have loved for him to have attended that lecture to at least know what he would have said

Dear OP, i guess she didn't leave because of the miscarriage alone but maybe also because she later learnt of your little secret which you once brought to us here on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/5045895/child-brothers-ex-wife-please did you later seek help in a hospital as was earlier advised by people on that thread? What was the outcome? Only the two of you can come out of this and stronger too, if only you guys will realise you only have each other and no one else. Sorry for the loss of your brother by the way (i am guessing he couldn't get over his predicament then).

I sense there is a dangerous game of politics currently being orchestrated in the villa, how far the actors are willing to go and who ultimately becomes the victim(s) is what we will soon know. No the culprits will not go free if you press charges but your embassy will not press those charges for you, the best they can do is to provide sound legal assistance for you.

Never said nor implied it is. What i said is as it is, the embassy's route is not smart. Ekweremmadu himself can press for charges for assault but then you and i know that will cost him a lot (in time and money) that is why most African diasporans do such to their politicians when they come visiting in their personal capacities such as this one.

Such an unfortunate and painfully ignorant statement. Do you realise how many times and how many courts have granted this man bail yet the government of the day refuses to obey? Guess they are respecting the laws of the jungle. How can you say you are holding a man (against his wish and against several court orders to free him) for his own safety? Some things we sacrifice on the altar of partisanship and blind followership.

As much as i do not believe all you wrote here, i can easily deduce that your hubby is really not a grown man and does not, i repeat, does not know what it means to be the man of the house. Now if he really will be reading this, let him hear this from me; in my own house, i do the laundry, infact, i don't even know if my wife still knows how to use the machine. What does it cost me? Load clothes into a machine, press some buttons and go sit down somewhere else, what else? I work, my wife works too but i tell you, its only on sundays and some saturdays that my wife bathes our son, i bath him every other day morning and evening. Infact i can tell you for free that my son takes to me more than he does to my wife. Oga sometimes i come back from work and i ask my wife to go sit down while i cook for the whole house. Do we still have issues after all these, sure we do, its part of marriage. The friction is what polishes and brings out the bright shining joy of marriage but till then you must do what you have to do. I believe your hubby's case is a problem of upbringing, i started assuming responsibilities at a very tender age and man you must love your kids. I don't even allow anyone do for my son what i can do for him except i am not around. How can sleep cross my eyes when my child is uncomfortable, how? Oga you need serious reformatting, as in purge your present OS and get your brain a new OS. Savour every moment you have with your family especially your kids, let them have a sweet memory of you always.

For the fact it is a management course, it is very related. This question bothers on personnel management and conflict resolution and the fact that the lecturer used a recent event, makes it even better in my opinion. For all those asking how this is related to health course should know that most Nigerian universities has redesigned their curriculum to ensure health workers take some management courses. For the fact that sometime in a health worker's career, he/she may manage a hospital, agency or just a group of workers, it helps equip you with the right management skills

Oshiomole's actions and statements are always too brutish. There really was no need to make those statements about PDP when you know that strategically, they hold the ace to the election of senate principal officers. All PDP needs to do is sow seeds of discord among your members which they have already started, thereby spliting your votes and then give a bloc vote to their preferred candidate and deal is done. You will end up spending the next 4 years again, lamenting about the outcome. Will really need to see how this plays out.

The media twisted it and added their own and all of you started debating the one that is not part of. The whole thing.

The ccb chairman is not happy about this and promised to take action against the media twisting the reality. You all came here to shout again that the chairman is stupld

I wonder who the "you people" you are referring to is. If you do not know that most news in the media are deliberately leaked to the media by government agents to sway public opinions then we need not speak on this further, cos prior to the court proceeding, nobody had access to the findings of the investigations but the govt. And for the records, the CCB chairman only reacted to misrepresentation of proceedings in his court room. I pray for life so both of us can see how this EFCC case will turn out. Cos i can hazard a guess how it will end going by these guys precedence of charging one to court first while they build up their evidences
