jas_o: How truth is this? The lagos state governor should address us all concerning this, it's a savety of life and propetry they have sworn oath to protect. Able governor, let hear your fashion on this rumour i believe.
This response was all i needed to write this off as a joke.
FOOT NOTE
I actually went through your previous posts and boy, you've never ever made a single post devoid of grammatical murder. You sure do need to work on your self bro.
PoliticsRe: 6-year-old Girl Killed By Airbag In An Auto Accident In Asaba by kross01(m): 10:26pm On Mar 20, 2013
biolabee: I have a question though.. in addition to the fact that the child was in the front seat, will a seat belt have helped to minimise the impact
This applies to adult too
the seat belt will not change nothing. Bear in mind as well that the risk associated with airbags are not only the heavy impacts from their deployment, but also the risk of suffocation. The height of anyone below 12yrs of age would have that airbag deploying straight to their face, the force of impact & also a possibility of the bag suffocating the minor is very much likely.
PoliticsRe: 6-year-old Girl Killed By Airbag In An Auto Accident In Asaba by kross01(m): 6:54pm On Mar 20, 2013
@ post; most car manufacturers do state it, it is never advisable to leave kids under the age of 12 in front seats(except they are to be strapped in baby carriers, in which case rear facing ones are not still allowed). Its just plain blunder that caused this untimely demise. My condolences to the family.

Unknown Member: The NTSB cuts across Jurisdictions o!

If there is a downed aircraft, they are supposed to be there.
Try reading up about NTSB & change that view of urs cos NTSB IS NOT an international agency but a national agency(of d USA).it is only interested in USA interests but can offer same services to countries that need them

yes he is one good technocrat. I still assure u, that the man did some good works for anambra state, dnt follow how good he is on people's books, check his projects & rate him on your own books.

PoliticsRe: You Do Not Know What You’re Doing, Cleric Tells Gov Obi. by kross01(m): 8:57am On Mar 09, 2013
FreeGlobe: Why should I believe you. Anambra is a mess of governance. Dirty and dusty cities. No decorum. Tiny roads. Awka is a mess for a capital. Same with onitsha. Peter obi is running the state like a trader in onitsha main market who knows nothing apart from his business. Ngige's 2 years would be better than obi's 100 years (if possible). Forget press propaganda. He is very unpopular in the state.
Now my brother i'm not talking about press propaganda but based on records of feats the state achieved under his watch.at a time the same state had the highest ntwrk of paved rds(dnt knw if it still holds till nw).he's more of a technocrat than a politician & no one can deny him that.if u are close to anambra state try to get hold of his ANIDS hand book & then u cn independently verify the claims on them. As for onitsha, u dont expect him to turn there to a haven over night despite the extent of damage already done?
PoliticsRe: You Do Not Know What You’re Doing, Cleric Tells Gov Obi. by kross01(m): 8:30am On Mar 09, 2013
FreeGlobe: lmao... where did he do that? There is NO sign of government presence in Anambra. Obi would rather pay the press like fashola and bishops instead of doing any work. may Anambra never have another stingy, unqualified, confused governor like Mrs. Peter obi.
Believe u me, (stingy or not, mr or mrs) peter obi currently is one of the best guvnors(if nt d best) to ever happen to anambra state, that is if you can help urself with verifiable facts.

trix!:
I don't know why people are so quick to paint Nigeria as a bad country. Which country in the world completes air-crash investigation in less than one year? This is just an interim report!
And i dont think its right to release an interim report pointing to possibilities. An interim report should be to RULE out options/theories and not to blow open the whole story with options.
PoliticsRe: Azazi, Yakowa Killed By Human Error – Navy by kross01(m):
Unknown Member: Shouldnt the NTSB be involved in this investigation?!
Nigeria is a sovereign state my dear. The NTSB can only offer their services and facilities but they cant force them down on us.only the aircraft manufacturer has the right to be there.
PoliticsRe: Azazi, Yakowa Killed By Human Error – Navy by kross01(m): 5:13pm On Mar 08, 2013
i strictly recommend that these 'investigators' take a 24hrs exclusive viewing of air crash investigation videos (on dstv's nat geo) to at least learn how air mishaps are investigated and reconstructed.

stupor: There's no insensitivity in what the governor has done !

If for example, you,as a Lagosian illegally erects a public toilet building around your vicinity, you collect the returns and because no respônsible govt has come to effect this lawlessness over many years, and suddenly a good one comes tO effect it.

Are you trying tO tell me because yOu grew up tO knôw that Toilet, means it deserves being given leniency ?

You and the rest of your team are obvoiusly the Ones trying to frustrate the gOvernór and the lagos state of our dreams !

If Lagos State gets in the hand of PDP ,I swear yOu people will excrete on the main róads, sell spareparts, close third mainland and turn it to second hand clôthes market !

Leave Lagos ! We don't need people like you to finish Our lost beloved Lagos.

Go to Borno or Bauchi state, where PDP allows lawlessness, street trading, beggars, and lazy urchins,Lagos is a World Reckon ! Not a LOcal gvernment.

Uncle Fashola's still the best governor.
Now the bolded part of ur work got me laughing my eyes off. Like seriously because i fail to concur with BRF on this u r branding me so? First & foremost, u can do well as to go 2ru my previous posts here to knw i only discuss issues & nt pple. Linking me to pdp is so petty of u cos dt is why we keep failing in this country since even wn sum1 we knw is getting it wrng we look the other way. I'll still say it again my dear(u cn even brand me boko haram if u so wish to, not that i care) shacks & slums are bad, bt what stopped d gvt frm giving those pple prior notice? Why cldnt he relocate those pple to that flood camp somewia arnd ikorodu axis? Did they hve to loose d little they had because of the demolition? These are issues & nt calling for party affiliations.
PS-bear in mind dt d swt looking bungalow of 2day, might turn to a shack tomorrw when that neighborhud becomes all skyscrappers.

emiye: My point is simple, God forbid i was part of the displaced, i will most likely never allude to the fact that i was given a long quit notice. If i make that mistake, HOW WILL I GAIN PUBLIC SYMPATHY ?.

In this case, i believe the Government more than the displaced.

I put it to you that no matter how long the quit notice, only few will have left till the bulldozer comes, i understand the psyche of an average nigerian.
And you think a yung graduate who just got admission to go do his masters in sweden knew all dt & left his whole documents @ home for the demolition crew right? Cut those guys some slack men.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Destroys Slums In Lagos, Leaving Thousands Homeless by kross01(m): 11:03pm On Mar 03, 2013
emiye: What do you expect them to say? That they were given a long quit notice?

Never has a demolition exercise taken place, and those displaced agreed they were given quit notice.
& now you expect me to believe the govt's side of the story cos they've suddenly turned saints ryt? What an irony!

PoliticsRe: Fashola Destroys Slums In Lagos, Leaving Thousands Homeless by kross01(m): 10:49pm On Mar 03, 2013
emiye: I am almost certain they were issued quit notice, you people talk as if we are not nigerians, more often than not when quit notice are issued by government,Nobody quits. you will come back at that location to discover more people than they were when you issued the quit notice.

Some tough decisions has to be made, compensating illegality has a long term consequence.
Good a thing u said almost certain, but my dear these people spoke during the press conference organised by a group that has agreed to defend their rights that have been violated(SERAP should be the grps name) & almost all said same thing. Few hours notice with area boys aiding in the demolition & carting away their stuffs while squads of mobile police are kept stand by, seriously is that humane enough?
PoliticsRe: Fashola Destroys Slums In Lagos, Leaving Thousands Homeless by kross01(m): 10:42pm On Mar 03, 2013
babapupa: You still can not compare Lagos with jburg or any other municipality. every society is unique based on a lot of things from money, history, culture and expectations from the elected officials.

I still need you to tell me where the money to house millions of beggars, illegal settlers and every so called thousands of common man crossing into Lagos state everyday. Tell me where the money will come from...
if the gvt decides that housing is its priority, it won't cost them half as much as they are spending on road infrastructures to house up to 50% of the pple u mentioned. They do not come to me to fund their previous projects my bro, administration is all about priorities. I still maintain my point which is that those guys are natives & even if they are not, doesnt justify the gvt sudden eviction without prior notification.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Destroys Slums In Lagos, Leaving Thousands Homeless by kross01(m): 10:37pm On Mar 03, 2013
~Bluetooth:
How many slums do you see in London,Dubai or New york ? You guys should learn to put sentiments away from governance.for a government to work and succeed, sacrifices must be made.

Government cannot build free houses to aLl poor Nigerians simply because they are homelessness and that is why there are urban and rural areas.if you find yourself lagging in Urban areas, migrate to the rural when life is cheap.Besides, government is not father christmas.

PS- I'm not blaming those poor guys for being poor and kicked out of their shanties but what need to be done must be done.
If you've bn to these places u mentioned, u'ld knw they all have their bad portions. What may pass for a shack in their area, myt b ok to us. Someone earlier in this thread talked about the location used for one of the olympic games being a slum b4 d gvt acquired it for tthat purpose but they wia well taken care of. They were given alternatives, they were not chased out of there with squads of mobile policemen.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Destroys Slums In Lagos, Leaving Thousands Homeless by kross01(m): 10:23pm On Mar 03, 2013
babapupa: Have you asked yourself where the money will come from or is it going to fall from the sky? I'm sure they'd love to build houses for millions of Nigerians in Lagos and the thousands entering Lagos daily because this is what lagosians put the governor in office to do with their money.

Btw, stop comparing Lagos state which is a state in Nigeria with sovereign countries with national budgets to do whatever they want and if you have to make such comparisons, pick Nigeria and not Lagos. Lagos is not a country with a national budget, its just a state within Nigeria with measly 3 billion dollars budget while all the places you mentioned are countries with several hundred billions of dollars yearly budget.

A beg get with reality and leave fantasy alone.
maybe i got carried away with the comparison but come on man, rolling back to africa, lagos can safely be compared to jo'burg, whch still hav shacks & funny settlements visible. But the govt doesnt jst go & drive them all off, rather the first thing u'ld notice in such area is that they'll cme construct an array of toilets dia for them & then keep managing them till they can get a lasting solution to them. While i'm not suggesting to the state gvt hw to run its affairs, 'm surely suggesting to it, hw to trt its citizens like humans & nt second class citizens. My pain with this whole demolition still remains that you as a gvt cnt wake up & send a bulldozer to a settlement without prior notice & or time frame, not even minding the fact that those people are the traditional indigenes/natives of there. If not for land use act, i wonder if such could be thot of in d 1st place.

people are yet wanting gvt to dialogue with a group that have often made it clear that their only goal is islamizing nigeria.cant there be a referendum in this country so we can all collectively determine our own fates? Why cant we for once stop this uneccessary blood baths.they want an islamic state, give them one & lets live.

Neo-XVI:
How dumb and insensitive. They are the homeless you see around. They are the beggars at your window during traffic jams. They are the people living under bridges, hawking pure water that make you wonder how they are even able to feed with such meager earnings. You people seem to think that these guys had a choice but chose to build shanties in mosquito infested areas BECAUSE THEY LIKE IT. You also seem to forget that life moves in circles. You may be up today in your cozy houses and cars being insensitive to the poor and downtrodden, but it may not last forever. You may need help tomorrow and may receive the same treatment you hand out to these poor folks. It is people with your warped logic that we've been unfortunate to have as leaders that have brought this great country to her knees. A society is judged by how it treats its poor and helpless, and right now we are in a bad place.
God bless you Neo.
most people are only okay wit things so long as it doesnt affect them, like a saying will have it, 'when another's corpse is being carried, one feels like its a log of wood that is being carried about'. Some people fail to recognise that one of the basics of a responsible govt are provision of basic amenities to its citizenry(good roads, portable water, housing, power, security & general welfare). What will happen if lagos state gvt builds a massive block of flats for its poor natives that are being affected by the modernization of lagos & rent them out at subsidised rates? Uk has council flats, malaysia is even building housing units for its unborn generations, s'african govt does that & more, why can't such be done? For all i care the only crime these people have committed are because they are poor. This is one of those reasons why people are championing for the removal of land use act from the constitution.
