The Degree doesn't teach or prepare you for the above. The Certification however does. And from an employment point of view you cannot get a job without being certified to show competence. Good luck.

You've got it the wrong way round. Read my notes above about what Afonja means. Afonja was fighting WITH the Hausa Fulani not against.

The name Afonja comes from a Yoruba Chief/Warrior named Afonja. History has it that he had a quarrel with many Yoruba chieftains ,elders and leaders over rights and leadership title. From the quarrelling the other Yoruba chieftains were able to displace him.
Out of anger and seeking revenge against his fellow Yoruba men he went into an agreement with Hausa and Fulani Warriors who were planning on invading ancient Yoruba Region now known as Kwara.
He essentially betrayed his kinsmen and through his help and assistance because of Afonjas knowledge of the Yoruba terrain the Hausa and Fulani invaders were able to decisively defeat the Yoruba defenders in battle.

Henceforth the name Afonja has been related to a person who is a traitor or betrayer. Someone who will stab you in the back or can not be trusted. Like Judas in the Bible.

Even till today the effects are still being felt with Kwara being referred to as an Islamic territory by some people and that's why there is a large Hausa and Fulani population in Kwara. This is a rewriting of their original history and culture. Essentially an annexation.

So if someone calls you an Afonja you know what they mean.

Very good investigative work on the part of the guys that took the pics. That said the two cars are very similar and can be deceiving to the untrained eye hence the probable use for the Pontiac as the Base for kitting a Ferrari frame. However the interiors are the give away. Whilst the car in Ibadan has a real Ferrari steering wheel and real Ferrari body the interior and engine is different. No vex but you be confirmed Olodo. The U.S and the US Dollars are two separate entities. Whilst we shouldn't be too bothered about the U.S the dollar on the other hand is the entire world's preferred trading currency.

Requirements
Some of the things that you would need to start your kerosene business include-:

1. Certification
You cannot just start kerosene business without proper registration and licensing. You need to register your business with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC).

Upon registration, you would receive a certificate which would permit you to buy your kerosene in wholesale directly from the NNPC. This makes it possible for you to have access to products cheaply. However, this process takes time and of course, would cost you money.

But if you want the easy way out, you can become an indirect marketer. As an indirect marketer, you would source for your products from registered marketers. Although, you would get products at a more expensive rate compared to buying directly from the depot.

2. Location
You need a strategic location to sell your products. Some kerosene marketers own filling stations which they use in selling kerosene alongside other petroleum products but if you cannot afford to build yourself a station, you can just set up a depot in a safe place.

I have even seen people set up kerosene mini-depots in front of their homes. However, you must take issues of safety very seriously if you decide to go with this option.

3. Dispensing Pump
To make it easy for you to sell your product, you should get an automatic dispensing pump. You can easily get them from dealers in major Nigerian cities.

However, if you still don’t know where to get one, you can try to ask from people who are already into the business; they can easily point you in the direction where they got theirs.

An automatic dispensing pump would make your job really easy as you would be able to easily measure your products and charge your customers correctly.

4. Petroleum Tanker
This is only necessary for people who are starting kerosene business on a large scale. If you have registered with PPMC and DPR and want to be buying your products directly from the depot even start supplying other kerosene sub-dealers, you would need a petroleum tanker to move your products around easily.

5. Capital
The amount you need to start a kerosene business would depend on the scale you wish to operate. With about N200, 000, you can set up a small-scale kerosene business in your neighborhood or somewhere close. But if you want to operate this business on a large scale, you should be ready to spend at least 1 million naira.

Regarding the strong caveat on Airport Road, and how "AMAC/FCT/AGIS has destroyed many people's houses over the years", are you implying a willful collusion among these government agencies to exploit or punish people? I want to believe that approvals for the affected constructions have always come from the very same agencies!

Well there lies the paradox that is Nigerian governmental administrations. A majority of the affected property owners actually bought the land assuming that the transactions were legal. Even high ranking politicians where affected. What then happened was that after a change in leadership the incoming administration reviewed the agreements and subsequently invalidated them. Siting amongst other things that said deals were illegal due to their potential for disrupting the Abuja "master plan" or being in areas ear marked for future projects like the railway line etc.
So it wasn't necessarily a "collusion" like you alluded to more like incompetence and poor governance. The demolitions were quite rife during El-Rufais tenure and people lost billions of naira with no recompense in most instances.

Finally, I'm your regular guy with no extras bucks to throw around , so a good quality project, not compromising basic safety standards while keeping costs down, is the goal.

At OP, it's best to speak to people that are already doing anything you want to venture into. I shuttle between London and Abuja and I'm currently on the construction of my second house in Abuja.
The first thing you need is a building plan. This will guide your budget. In Nigeria a Valuer/Quantity Surveyor can get this for you and for very cheap in this recession.
The second thing is your budget. This will determine how grand or otherwise the building will be. Cost of materials are almost always the same all over Nigeria except for things like windows and doors and tiles and roof materials. So therefore it's the main structure that will affect your pocket including finishings like fence and type of fence.
As a rough guide my first house was a 3 bed bungalow it cost less than 6 Million naira not including the land and estate fee a few years back. You need north of 10 Million naira as a guide. Not including cost of the land.
The third bit of advice I'll give you is to keep costs down as much as possible. Because you are almost certainly to discover you'll go over budget at some point. Ask anyone who has built. Especially if you take over a year to complete the construction. This happens because of inflation. The price of a bag of cement in January last year is very different from the price in September last year.
The very last bit of advice I'd give you is to be very careful where you want to build. Airport Road is a very contentious area. It has seen AMAC/FCT/AGIS destroy many people's houses over the years because they built on illegal land. Do not under any circumstances build on stand alone land on Airport Road or else you want to cry. Your safest bet is to buy estate land and buildings within the estate. Is this what you have done and which estate is it?

@ OP, where are the pictures of the interior of the property. You are advertising a property for rent but the only pics you have are from the outside of the fence.
How do we know it's genuine and if it is genuine how do we know it's worth our while if we have absolutely no idea about something you want N1.5 Million naira for. This is basic stuff.

If you feel any of the above. Immediately distance yourself from the appliance and ventilate the area. Mild poisoning usually doesn't need medication but the appliance should be checked for faults. If you however were to sleep in the vicinity of a faulty appliance that is leaking Carbon Monoxide that may be your last sleep. Stay safe and spread the message!

Taking a picture is very good.You should have gone a step further by going to the nearest Police station or Council Office to report. Since you said Utako this falls under AMAC. You might have saved a life or multiple.

You are one of the few on here to make a 100% accurate analysis.Firstly Incoming foreign investors want your currency weaker because it makes their foreign currency do more when brought into the country. Secondly a floatation has ALREADY been done. Thirdly the floating didn't work as it led to inflation which amongst other things led to recession. FOURTH and most importantly the Nigerian Factor. CBN is fighting a necessary battle by intervening through selling dollars at a predetermined rate, if not!!!!!!! 1. Deed of Assignment. Is a Legal document that assigns title from one party to another.
(Example is when you inherit property from a parent who previously owned it. Instead of selling the property to you they transfer their title to you. Making you the new owner of the property )

2. Power of Attorney. Is the appointment of an individual or agent granting legal rights to act in the place of the appointer. (Example is an executor of the estate of a deceased person or someone who through incapacity is unable to act on their own)

Having lived in Abuja,Lagos and currently London I have made observations of what all the cities are like and have made comparisons. Abuja is a great city of now and the future while Lagos is largely a has been. Although Lagos is an interesting place it's best days are behind it while Abuja is the place to be now and for the future. Below are the comparisons of the reasons why Abuja is better than Lagos.

1. Infrastructure
Abuja's infrastructure (roads,drainage, building standard's,etc) is light years ahead of Lagos. This is because Abuja was and is being built to strict city planning standards handled by a few govt agencies . This makes a drive through Abuja a beautiful experience. Lagos on the other hand is a free for all due to corruption,poor planning and confusion caused by bogus traditional claims on land (omo nile).
This means large swats of Lagos has poor roads, poor drainage,poor electricity and the regular building collapse.

2 .Security
Abuja is the seat of govt as such security is paramount in the town. With regular patrols and activities by security agencies to protect lives and properties.
Besides this Abuja isn't plagued with the incessant cases of armed robbery,burglary,kidnapping,ritual killing, agbero activities,cultists and traditional criminals used by local politicians that fill Lagos. In Abuja you can comfortably take a stroll at any time of the day. In Lagos some areas are no go at any time of the day.

3. Beauty.
Besides the beautiful architecture and man made structures. Abuja is blessed with beautiful views and scenery. Large green land and picturesque landscape. With many hills and picnic spots and lakes.
Lagos is blessed with beaches but due to greedy land grabbing practises,pollution and climate change some of these are not as nice as they were years ago.

4.Quality of life
This is a no brainer. If you've ever lived in both locations you know Abuja beats Lagos hands down on this. Lagos is suffering from massive pollution levels and poor infrastructure making life here very stressful and frustrating. It's a common practice to start a journey to work many hours before your start time due to traffic congestion in Lagos. In Abuja most residents are able to reach their place of work within an hour or less and without the hassle of touts and criminal law enforcement people that plague Lagos.

5.Employment
It's a statistical fact that Abuja is one of the fastest growing cities in Nigeria and a major one for the whole of Africa. Many companies are settling up base or are about to. This provides lots of employment opportunities for job seekers. Also all govt agencies have either their hq or wing in Abuja a fact most states can't boast of.

6. Peaceful Environment
Abuja provide a peaceful,safe and serene environment to live,raise a family and work. Lagos on the other hand is the hassle and stress capital of Nigeria. You are most likely to live a longer healthier life in Abuja than Lagos which has many ill health causing factors.

7. Law and Order
Abuja can not ever be compared to Lagos when it comes to Law and Order. Abuja is a civilised orderly city. Lagos on the other hand is a free for all with traditional chiefs,car park touts,agberos,omo nile,alayes etc all dispensing their own brand of wild west justice.
It is not unheard of for omo nile to drive people away from their property on the instructions of a local kingpin. Something that is impossible in Abuja.

8. Business Opportunities
As a fast growing city Abuja's population is expanding by the thousands every day. This provides opportunities for businesses to provide goods and services to the population including associated things like building and transport,feeding, etc.

9. No Tribalism or Ethnic Hostilities
Abuja unlike Lagos is a safe haven for all Nigerians regardless of their tribes. Here people of all tribes and religions have held and hold important positions of public office and are able to own property and conducts their business unharrassed. Lagos on the other hand is known for tribal/ethnic hostilities. In Lagos your tribe is more important than competence to hold public office or do and own certain things.

10. Investment Haven
All the points raised above lend themselves to the ultimate fact that Abuja is far better safer haven for investment than Lagos. You wouldn't need to worry about the many things you would worry about in Lagos. If for example you bought land and were in diaspora in Abuja your investment is safe in Lagos it's probably not with the traditional chiefs laying claim,multiple selling or the omo niles muscling you of your property.

Abuja is a far better place than Lagos no questions asked.
