Op pls stop misleading people. this doesn't work, infact it has never worked. been staying in abuja for close to 18 years now and this has never been the norm, might be written in some land regularization rules somewhere though. easiest places to acquire lands in the fct either for residential or commercial purposes are the area councils. the lands are not as cut throat price as the ones in the city centre. process of acquisition is also less cumbersome.

OP is not misleading people. I officially moved to Abuja myself in 1991 and OP is correct. However the problem is the waiting time and lack of guarantee you'll get anything even after paying.The truth like someone pointed out earlier is the sharp practice of allocating land to estate developers who have paid Millions or Billions from prime location land.

Kimbo WAS a street circuit fighting legend. And while it was the YouTube videos that brought him to the spotlight it was his fighting ability that made him popular. He signed up for the MMA circuit and beat some great MMA names. Guess you didn't also know he also boxed professionally. Guess you also didn't know he was in a few movies. Guess you also didn't know he was a host for some "adult" businesses.

Just pay your respects to the dead and stop trying to sound smart by bringing some else down on subjects you are not fully versed on you will be called out by people who actually know all the facts.

To make this short I will go straight to the point.

For some 4 years now my cousin 33yrs old has been having Bright red blood dropping in the toilet when he stool. It does not happen all the time but it does happen once in a while. Sometimes 2 days and then it may stop for months and then resurface.
Doctors can't diagnose the cause after many checks so they said it's an internal hemorrhoid. According to 2 doctors it's not cancer.
Is there any alternative treatment for this?
Pls nairalanders let us know so we can as well help others going through this.

There are many possible causes but the way to know for sure is to have an Endoscopy. Where a pipe like camera is inserted into either the oesophagus into the stomach or the anus into the intestine.

Based on the description I suspect it's been caused by something called Polyp. Especially of the intestine. It's normally a growth that gets bruised everything you pass faeces and subsequently bleeds with the blood coming out with the faeces.

It's treated by cutting said Polyp or tying it off to starve it of circulation until it falls off. If this last method is used you will be asked to monitor and bring it back to the hospital for tests to ensure its not become cancerous because while most Polyps are harmless they can become cancerous on occasion. Good luck.

I too have pondered this matter.Whilst I know we are not ready for Biafra (despite what some of the brethren think) I'm more interested in economic empowement. I think one of several ways to achieve this economic empowerment goal is the following :

1: Creation of a Private Sector Led South East Development Commission.
It will be funded by South Easterners both at home and in diaspora, well wishers and foreign investors. We are collectively worth many billions of dollars.

2: Funds will come from selling special bonds and investment opportunities to interested parties.

3: Said funds will then be funnelled into infrastructure projects across the whole of the South East. Rail lines connecting the region. More schools. More hospitals. More airports. And very importantly a SEA PORT.

4. Private Sector Loans Banks will be created to fund entrepreneurs.

5. Working with local government to create incentives for foreign companies to invest. If they form partnerships with south eastern businesses they will get tax breaks and other benefits.

6. Creation of "COOPERATIVES" for everything from mass home building, to large scale agricultural farms where the majority owners and share holders are the local communities. Without waiting for federal government handout.

7. Create "sweeteners" for any body that wants to relocate their business back to the south east. Like fee and tax waivers, rent free or discount rent for commercial spaces for a period, free business advice,or free accountancy services or even small loans.

8. Start international road shows: There are many diaspora south easterns and their descendants that want to reconnect but don't know how. They want to invest but don't know how. The road shows can demonstrate how their money whilst developing the region will also be an actual investment that yields tangible dividend.

9. The knock on effect of all the above will be economic stimulation. The infrastructure projects will create paid jobs. The new workers will spend money. Their spending money will create new jobs for the providers of good and services. The money floating around will go into the banks. The banks will give loans to businesses that will reinvest so the money creation cycle continues and the wealth in the South East will increase

10. Include new educational curriculum from primary school onwards that teaches the importance of self determination and Igbo history and more importantly how we have been treated by others.

The list of things we can do is endless. And the best part is that the tools are already on ground. Whilst I'm all for one Nigeria im also a avid believer of self determination and the creation of a great South East.

Not entirely true.

Lagos' relevance is a result of quite a number of factors.

The possession of sea ports, it being the economic hub of the country and a lot more other factors.

There's a reason the Portuguese found it strategic.

To make Abuja truly magnificent, I believe, there's need to make it a financial hub of some sort. Guess that's what the World Trade Centre is aimed at achieving.

The Portuguese landed in Lagos per chance due to location. However making Lagos the state capital meant billions of dollars were spent investing in Lagos over the years part of that investment was the sea port you mentioned. There are other Nigerian states well placed for building seaports but they were not chosen as capital and therefore didn't have the same investment opportunities. Granted the presence of the ports will always be a trump card for Lagos but there are many other types of business opportunities. The level of investment in Abuja is incredible and if you've ever had a chance to see some of the planned projects you will know that in some years time everyone in Africa will want to be in Abuja.

No matter how relevant they are trying to make Abuja it will never be, because many rich people including foreigners prefer Lagos, except they move National airport from Lagos to Abuja.

Lagos only ever became "relevant" because it was made the nation's capital period. Abuja is on course to be far greater than Lagos.
Abuja is the National capital and already has the highest migration rate of Nigerian states.
Abuja is unique in that it was created from other states as a unity state with no tribal antecedent. It's for every Nigerian.
Abuja has far greater infrastructure than Lagos and was built to plan.
Abuja's true landmass had not even reached 50% occupation. While Lagos is already saturated and having to reclaim land from the sea. Meaning Abuja has far more potential and opportunities than Lagos.
Abuja is at the heart and centre of Nigeria and can be easily assessed from any part of Nigeria.
Abuja has better statistics on crime,infrastructure,schools,health care than Lagos.
Abuja presents far more business opportunities than Lagos due to business saturation in Lagos. Whilst Lagos is an already mature market Abuja is relatively virgin territory where ideas of products and services can flourish.
Also for foreigners,diaspora and even Nigerians at home Abuja is saner,safer,cleaner and far more organised than Lagos.
Lagos' best days are behind it and it's on the decline. Abuja is the future!!
