Naijaguy12345:This goat called Naijaguy12345 is obviously mad. The majority of his cowardly posts on Nairaland are Igbo this Igbo that. Are you an orphan of Igbo man? Was your mother used and left by an Igbo man? Or was your father bankrupted by an Igbo man? If that's the case take heart. But what you need is counselling and maybe mental health medication. You will type till your small credit runs out it neither changes reality or has any effect in real life. The internet and anonymity ( that means being hidden, you cretin) allows cowards like yourself to masturbate over others while hiding your identity. However all you do is end up looking like an irritating f.ool. You're like an anal rash disgusting but ultimately unseen by anyone that matters |
Naijaguy12345:Your parents obviously wasted money on your education assuming you had an education and parents in the first place. Keyboard cowards like you are as irritating as the nuisance flies one finds in public toilets. If you want to comment go on and comment but what gives you the audacity to insult a whole tribe because you want to make a point? Nairaland needs to start identifying foolish people like so we can find and punish you. You hide behind your cheap phone and small data to say things you know that you can never repeat in real life in the presence of the same Igbos you're disrespecting. Foolish child! |
GoTV:You're tribal statement is not only ignorant and out of point it also shows your flawed and sad character. What concerns the illustrious Igbos with Yoruba political infighting? How you managed to the Fayose,Rauf,Ambode, Tinubu and the Igbo People in one statement is bewildering. You're either mad or very confused. Why don't you focus your out of context mind on the mess that is Nigeria now and the culprits of our present predicament as a country. If you need reminding it is Tinubu and our Yoruba brethren that were instrumental in getting Buhari elected. Now you're all suffering the consequences. |
youngberry001:You are a nonsense disrespectful youth as well. Abi old people no dey your village? What's wrong with people these days? SMH. |
spookydee:I feel sorry for you if you feel this is fair. But it's not your fault as you dont know any better. As they say in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. |
alienvirus:Then you must not live in Nigeria if you do not know that constant black outs are a constant part of life. You LIED about having light constantly for 2 months when the people who provide the light themselves advised that they've had near total collapse in the last 2 months. Unless you have your own power grid stop creating false narratives. If you are not evil and operating under false pretext we should be holding the government to account not celebrating fake and mediocre achievements. Shame on you by the way. |
alienvirus:Government Sponsored Liars are back. Even the government itself has confirmed near total collapse of power generation multiple times in the last 2 months. Now offsprings of Liar Mohammed want to create a fictional narrative. Bloody devil's advocate. http://punchng.com/breaking-total-blackout-hits-nigeria-as-power-grid-collapses/ http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/126212/ https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/254308-updated-nigeria-experiences-total-power-outage-across-country.html |
Please leave her village people alone. When they ask people to learn how to drive professionally and properly they won't hear. How can you park a car without engaging the hand brake when you're not mad? Some driving experts even say that handbrakes after being engaged should be supplemented by turning the steering at an angle that steers the car into the pavement "behind" or "front" depending on the road gradient In case the handbrake fails. Wishing the child quick recovery and thanking God it wasn't worse. The mother needs to attend a driving awareness refresher course from an accredited driving school. |
Bobby4090:You made some valid points but I think she's referring to comparing the two cities from "an individual's" perspective. While it's true that Lagos has the GDP of many states combined how does that truth play out to your individual everyday life? Does it make your life in Lagos nicer or easier or less stress free? I think that's what she means. Lagos may have all the money but what is the quality of life like? It's not like they are sharing the money for people who live in Lagos. Regards to things like fun there's no one to compare to the level in Lagos. But you can catch fun anywhere plus how many days a week do you spend catching fun? It's really a tale of two cities. If I was just starting of in life I might pick Lagos but if im established I'd prefer the saner, safer environment of Abuja. |
Lagos is the economical nerve centre of Nigeria while Abuja is political nerve centre of Nigeria. I've lived in Lagos and Abuja. But Lagos ain't what it used to be and coming back from diaspora it's an easier transition to move to Abuja than Lagos. Abuja in my opinion beats Lagos if you already have money and want a sane calm pretty looking place to live. Lagos isnt for everyone not everybody can deal with the stress and strain that comes with Lagos life. Truth be told I still miss it in my heart but not sure I can live there again. |
sane93:Oh dear...im tempted to ignore this as you've clearly not read or understood my comments. But in the spirit of learning i'll say.Go back and read my earlier comments on the matter it'll help you grasp "a bit" of the matter. Complete combustion has NOTHING to do with the type of gas but HOW the gas is burnt. Before you go I have a small home work assignment for you. Go and read up on the meaning of the following (A) Complete combustion (B) Incomplete combustion. Also read up on their causes in the context of natural gas CH4 and LPG to help focus your enquiry. Try not to comment for the sake of commenting my dear. |
SnowJay92:I'm enjoying the banter my friend but you're either lying or in the very early stages in your studies to become an engineer. Any engineer can tell in 30 seconds if someone knows the subject or not. You've made statements that show you don't but I'm not trying to insult you though just using the platform to educate others that may be interested in the subject. Cheers. |
For people interested in the subject and gas in general I've dusted off one of my old text books in gas . It's just a page but gives you a snap shot of combustion and how CO carbon monoxide can be created. Feel free to read it. Enjoy.
|
SnowJay92:It's alright that you don't understand the subject but let me let me try to explain another way. The production of Carbon Monoxide can happen even if your gas cooker is in perfect condition. For gas to burn it requires heat and oxygen. If your cooker is fine but oxygen supply levels are suboptimal CO can still be produced. You are right however on the matter of CO "levels". It can be negligible provided your kitchen is spacious and well ventilated. You are very wrong however on CO poisoning from cookers. There are different levels of CO poisoning which essentially means saturation of your haemoglobin. From 0%-10% you exhibit no symptoms (does not mean your good). Levels above 70% lead to respiratory failure and possible death. Although this quantities are almost impossible to reach in the kitchen. So in addition to fire and explosions CO poisoning is right up there but with near non noticeable effects. I'm happy to further clarify if you need as it's good for you and others to learn about these things. |
SnowJay92:Easy friend, let me a "gas engineer" enlighten you on the subject. Gas does not give off Carbon Monoxide on its own. Carbon monoxide may be emitted when gas is "burning". That is when it can be dangerous. It is not the gas that is the danger but the chemical reactions that the gas is exposed to. The burning of gas is called combustion. If that combustion is impaired then CO can be produced. Hope it's clearer now. |
I'll like to add to the OPs post about Carbon Monoxide by saying that there are other sources of the killer gas besides your cooker. Anything that burns a hydrocarbon fuel source can emit CO. This includes your power generator or even the exhaust pipe in your car or motor cycle. |
sonofthunder:You're correct. One has an atom(mono) of oxygen the other has two atoms(dio)of oxygen. CO2 can become CO due to incomplete combustion. |
sokera:Technically speaking it makes no difference and sunlight is a negligible factor. However as a safety precaution in case of a leak or explosion a cylinder may be left outside. In Europe most gas supply is actually piped into the house like your water very few people use cylinders except in rural parts. |
xreal:Gas is odourless but a chemical agent is added that gives of the familiar smell of gas we all know. It is a safety feature to warn people of a leak and avoid a potential build up of explosive gas. CO2 is is carbon dioxide. CO is carbon monoxide. While they are both technically gases when people say gas they normally refer to Methane or LPG. CO is also odourless but can kill in high concentration or make you very sick. CO2 is not poisonous like CO but in extremely high quantities especially in confined spaces it will displace oxygen. Thereby reducing air quality. |
SnowJay92:The OP made a little mistake CO2 is different from CO. To your question of how is carbon monoxide (CO) relates to gas cooker and cylinder is like asking how is rice related to stew. Gas (LPG or Methane) burn in the presence of oxygen and heat. This process is called combustion. There's also something called incomplete combustion(causes by different factors). When there's incomplete combustion, burning gas releases carbon monoxide. So gas and carbon monoxide are very very related. |

mapet:You're an agent of darkness you and the 3 zombies liking your comment. Your comment and flawed attempt at a justification argument is entirely without merit and totally bereft of any reason or logic. Let's visit my first point again: If you know anything at all about government and constitutional law you would have heard of the phrase "checks and balances". We run a democracy not a dictatorship. Section 80 of the 1999 Constitution can not be superseded by your "unreferenced" quote. The President can not willy nilly dip his hands into the National coffers without due procedure. We are not a banana republic as people like you seem to think. The law clearly mandates the involvement of the National Assembly (Even in war times) which we are not. So no my perverse minded friend there is no justification, legal precedent or grounds for what President Buhari did. The second point: Your response is laughable. Please do your research. If you are unable let me help you. A Super Tucano Aircraft costs between $9-14 Million max. This costs a maximum of $168 Million for 12 units. Remaining $328 Million. Even factoring in delivery, maintenance and other logistics how can you say it costs twice as much to maintain machinery than to buy it? Either way this is a moot point and not the subject matter as we are not privy to private discussions between the parties. What we do know however is the law which holds every citizen of Nigeria to account. A law clearly broken by the dictatorial tendency of President Buhari. I am no fan of the National Assembly however the calls for an impeachment of the President is very well justified. |
progress69:With all due respect my friend you are very very ill informed and you are part of the problem of Nigeria. I just want to enlighten you with two points. Point 1. Section 50 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria expressly forbids the authorization or withdrawal of such sums of money without the input of the National Assembly. This means President Buhari has broken the law and breached the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Point 2. The ST fighter planes in question cost a maximum of between $9 - 14 Million dollars per unit. The FG claimes they are buying between 10 and 12 units. I am sure you have a calculator. Please tell us how $14 Million x 10 or 12 equals to $495-496 Million dollars! Even factoring in kitting, maintenance, delivery and logistics the figures come no where close to what Mr President withdrew. This is abuse of power and position. It is also corruption of the highest order and that is why Mr President and his cronies illegally bypassed the National Assembly to get the money. Nigeria is a disgrace and people like you without facts should not be making comments as you are part of the problem confusing others that don't know the truth! |
omohayek:I hit a like on your comment as you made some good points. But here's the thing. Alpha-Beta has been collecting VARIOUS forms of taxes on behalf of the Lagos Government for years!!! From the time of Tinubu's tenure, through Fashola's and now Ambode's government. I actually did a personal calculation based on a documentary I saw about the company a long time ago. My calculations equals to Tinubu making income from Lagos via Alpha-Beta in the region if £1,500,000 to £5,000,000 PER MONTH (If you allow a couple of hundred thousands for margin of error on my part ) Also people have been crying out about this grossly inappropriate conduct and financial rape of Lagos for years but nothing is ever done as the main players always die the matters using tribal and religious sentiments. The same sentiment that has been espoused by many of our fellow Nigerians of the Yoruba extraction. This is relevant because they've always cleverly managed to turn any criticism of their crimes into a criticism of the Yoruba people. Hence now that new truths are being exposed people are making a stab at our Yoruba brethren. I know Lagos more than most of the youngins on here as I lived there from the early 80s before relocating out of the country. I also know Tinubu very well from his campaign days that involved the influence of his very powerful and connected mother in Lagos circles. My summary is this, none of this is new. And none of it is going to change any time soon. Simply because the players have the game on lock down. P.S- See the screen shot below from user Tundeobama as a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Kleptocracy, corruption and embezzling is actually sanctioned by the very people it impoverished simply because the thief in question is their tribes man. Nigeria is beyond sad.SMH!

Sagay212:It's the same thing with places like Banana Island and parts of Lekki. The youngsters on here are busy shouting about how it's a great development for Lagos and are busy fighting online tribal wars. What they fail to realise is that it's a development for the super rich elite which represents less than 1% of the total population. When they start selling the properties having an Olu,Ola,Ade etc as part of your name or being born and bred in Lagos doesn't equal to you getting one inch of land or one cement block in the property. It's is reserved for multimillionaires and billionaires from "anywhere" in the world. If half of the money used in Eko Atlantic had been spent on creating more rail tracks, better roads, sorting the apapa port road mess, improving electricity, building affordable housing, more security, better refuse collection, more hospitals, small loans to market women then it would have been a great development for Lagos. This is a vanity project aimed at creating more wealth for the already stupendously wealthy. Most other Nigerians can only look but not touch, regardless of your tribe or state of origin. |
Mille:You're the only one here with sense that has identified the hidden facts of this story. He is a contract killer. He was arrested and named his clients. The original confession tallies with the evidence on ground( like the unwanted car gift from a sponsor). Which the sponsor admitted giving him but claiming it was for a different reason and not part payment for the killing. Out of the blue he is now claiming it was all a frame up. The big boys of Lagos have got involved and they want to kill the matter and change all the stories. Crimes in high places. May God protect every one because in Nigeria the law is a sham and doesn't exist. |
Venerable612:It's not a "fall". It's an "Expiry". 1.Certain types of music genre are targeted majorly at the youth by the musicians. 2.This youth eventually grow up and are no longer so much interested in that type of music leading to the fading of the musician. 3.Also the musicians also get older and it becomes a bit harder to continue making that type of music . 4. It's also almost impossible to have continuous hits which cause people to forget about you and the record labels to stop investing in the musician.. 5. Also new musicians and music comes and take the place of the old. |
Daviddson:Don't be so naive. Tinubu was the key mastermind in Buhari's election. Key not because Buhari had the credentials for being a democratic messiah but because Tinubu himself had designs for the presidency itself. He was first thwarted at the Vice President position which he clamoured for. He was denied on the basis of a Muslim-muslim ticket not being good for Nigeria. Then he was thwarted again in the House of Senate where many of his favoured proxies did not make the cut due to being check mated by Bukola Saraki. His humiliation continued when the Northern caucus moved into Aso Rock then quietly surrounded Buhari and ensured that nepotism took full reign in Nigeria. Tinubu the former mastermind of the whole party was reduced to a visiting member. Even political elders in the South West and Afenifere have already said this. Tinubu was used and given nothing in return. This is politics and Tinubu's plans have been laid to waste by the clever scheming of the Daura Gang who actually run Nigeria's political apparatus currently. 2019 loading. |
Simplestone:Why did you lay emphasis on Kenya for him to go to? Just curious. ![]() |
jazinogold:Oya tell us wetin you dey do? |
WackyJ1:You are knowingly or ignorantly spreading misinformation. That is not what Daddyfreeze said. Go back and do your research before you speak on a subject for which you have little understanding. Firstly he did not say "do not pay any tithe". Secondly he was calling into question the "current" definition of tithe. Thirdly he was calling into question how frequently tithe should be paid. Fourth he was calling into question how tithe should be paid. Fifth he was calling into question who tithe should be paid to. Sixth he was calling into question the purpose of tithe payment. His frank and very welcome debate arose due to the blatant misinterpretations of the scriptures. So called men of god have abused their positions of power to milk gullible and unenlightened followers so as to enrich themselves with private jets in the name of tithe and spreading the gospel. So my friend Daddyfreeze never said don't pay tithe. What Daddyfreeze said is how should tithe be paid? |
Depends on what you are planning to do in Thailand. Most people land in Bangkok International airport and then either stay in Bangkok or move to other places. And then for departure they return to Bangkok from their destinations. I visited Thailand last year. My route was Bangkok then took a taxi from the airport to Pattaya which is where my hotel was. It's a bit like going from Abuja to Kaduna or Lagos to Ibadan. Bangkok is very metropolitan while Pattaya has beach town and holiday spot feel about it. Of course there are other lovely destination like Phuket etc etc. A few photos from Pattaya below.
