Caracta: @kslib, i still can't wrap my head around your last comment. Are you for real? Or you are just being sarcastic?Sarcastic? No. Real? Yes. |
Hahahahah!! Lwkmd!!! ![]() .. All izz well oo! |
uj_sizzle: Please go back to the initial post of the OP, read it again carefully. Then go back to my first response to your comment and read it again.I dont think i missed anything.. I am also looking at this ish from the security man's point of view. "Na person wey first call police dey win case" and guess what? That same addage is playing out here. How i wish the security man can also come and lay his complaint here. ![]() Latest info suggests that thesame bank was robbed of recent. Shey u dey see am? The security man is doing his Job.. Well, lets just end the argument here cos nobody will agree. .. All izz well! |
uj_sizzle: I still disagree with you. I have had the privilege of perusing through staff files of companies and they are punished for even daring to argue with the customers talk more of 'barking' at them. Every company wants to protect their image, and what this security man did wasn't portraying GTB in a good light. You have to understand that the modus operandi of Staffs(those who work inside the bank) is different from that of lets say "a security man". I am not in anyway saying that security men are ordered to be harsh but the instructions given to them by the bank is simple "Call anyone to order to who violates the rules".. The man is just protecting his job. Who wants to gets sacked cos of a customers mistake. In the security man's words------ "Get out!! Leave here!".. To be honest, i see nothing insulting or demeaning in those words. Yes, it sounds harsh but hey! Nigerians are equally damn stubborn and like it is said "Iron sharpenth Iron".. Its not like he called the @op a foool, iddiot or something of that nature.. I only see a security man who was surprised that despite the continuous endless emphasis which has been made on parking, people still find it hard to obey. Funny how you are focusing on the words of the security but refused to address the op's decision to ignore someone who was calling him to order. He could have used just a minute to explain but he ignored the man. I call that rude. Yes, every company wants to protect her image but are you trying to tell me that what the security man did should warrant any sanction on him or the bank? Sometimes, i feel like we Nigerians like to feel over important and blow things out of proportion when clearly we (the ones laying the complaint) are also guilty to some extent just like the OP. Just like you said "Managing a job that involves regular contact with people require certain skills". This statement is true and that is why i said "The modus operandi of a security man is diff from someone who works in the customer care unit". People who work in security units are required to develop thick skin by default and exude an aura of toughness and authority. Being rude and being tough are two different things. The job of a security man requires some certain level of toughness considering who they(the security) are dealing with here----- The ever stubborn Nigerians. .. All izz well! |
uj_sizzle: 1. There are simple bank policies and this one clearly stated that 'commercial' bikes could not be parked in the bank premises. The OP went with a 'Private' bike. No rule was broken.1... The security man wouldnt have ordered him out when he(the security) knew that the young man didnt violate any rule. It just doesnt make sense.. 2.. Yes,another security man initially gave him the permission to park there but the fact that another security man confidently ordered him not to park there shows that the first security who told him it was ok to park there either didnt get a full grasp of the laid down rules or felt the instructions given by the bank wasnt that serious. Trust me, in Nigeria, you can beg a security man to allow you park where it is clearly written "No parking" while others wont allow you no matter what. 3.. The security man wasn't rude. This is Nigeria, a country where citizens have no regards for simple instructions. I am very sure that the security man must have encountered very stubborn rude Nigerians(which isnt anything new) over the years and that made him develop thick skin also. Yes,its advisable to manage customers properly but the thing is "Many Nigerian customers will take you for a wild tiring ride if don't act tough".. Besides, why would the security man be telling him to leave and get out?------ cos he saw the young man violating the rules.. Now, that same young man ignored him and hurried into the bank. Come-on,lets be realistic here, if you were the security man, you would have also concluded that the young man was rude and looking for trouble even when he parked his bike at the wrong place.. If you claim the @op did nothing wrong, then the security man also did nothing wrong because he ordered someone who was doing the wrong thing, and got ignored in the process. If you believe that the @op didn't break any rule because a security once told him in the past that parking there had no consequences, then why cant you also believe that the second security who confidently ordered him out was also right because the first security man erred and didn't understand the instructions given by the bank. You should also look at it from the security man's angle and be in his shoes. Do you know that if the security man comes online and narrate his tale here, you will completely side him and blame the op. .. All izz well! |
glowingscenes: hehee, oga kslib!!! y na. i tot Bisi was everyone's fav xter...what hapnd? u don tk am personallol. Yes oo, i have taken it personal. All izz well! |
The title of this thread reads "GTB Customer Humiliation".. I think it needs modification. The right title should be "Stubborn Nigerian Disgraced For Disregarding Instructions".. You knew what you were doing was against the laid down rules of the banking premises but still went ahead to violate it. Now you are here crying like a widow and looking for sympathy. Better start to dey gather money to bail your okada which might amount to half of the buying price.. .. All izz well! |
glowingscenes: “Your wife wants kids, which I’m sure of.’’ She continued bluntly. ‘’you’ll play your part well by making sure I don’t get pressurized to deliver anyone anytime soon. You won’t be in my good books still, but you’ll do Yemi a big favor by standing on our side at this moment of our lives.’’@bolded, bisi is becoming so so annoying! Is she planning on not telling Yemi and striking a deal with his dad to keep both their mouths shut? ![]() I cant wait for her sorry helpless asss to get dumped by Yemi once he finds out she refused telling him. @slickest, i dey feel this story die.. I love it.. Pls dont try to force the story to make it look scary all the time. Yes, its a horror story, but i love what you did with the last update----- You gave us an insight on what was happening in the outside world and didnt make it scary. Good job man.. I believe i will still love this story no matter how you write it, be it complete horror or a mixture of normal happenings and horror just like you did with your last update.. What i just want you to know is that you dont really have to stress that much to always give us horror because you feel we might not appreciate not having horrific scenes like you've been feeding us with in the past. You can mix normal happenings and horror, we will still love it.. You can give only horror, horror and we will still like it. Anyhow,Anyway you write am, we go still enjoy am.. ![]() Bottom line is------ You are doing a very fantastic job.. ![]() .. All izz well! |

Popowaa: Absolute craplol. I think you are looking at it from the wrong angle. If the girl in question feels like there is someone out there who is ready to make her life his haven, then she should go meet the guy and leave someone who already has a GF alone. As simple as that.. Abi how you see am? .. All izz well |
exxell: Guy, that thing is not a technical fault from Nairaland... Its from your ISP. It normally happens on firefox. When the connection speed of your isp is slow, firefox loads webpages like that to load faster... I have experienced this before. If you are doubting me, open other web pages with a slow connection on firefox. Google Chrome on the other hand loads normal because it passes all content through google servers then sends the smaller part to you.. Its just like what opera mini does on phones.. So, the problem is not from NairalandI understand you bro.. When it happened,i visited gmail.com and logged in to to confirm. Why did i log in to gmail? I did so because gmail also loads pages in its simpler form, omit some features like colors and background when the connection speed is not fast.. So when i loaded it and saw it normal, i waited for hours and re-loaded gmail just to confirm,i knew that the ish wasn't from my Isp. I loaded countless of sites just to confirm and noticed that only Nairaland was proving stubborn, hence my reason for alerting @oga at the top. Besides,my connection speed was at its peak when the ish happened and mind you, this is not the first time a number of people aside me have experienced the same thing even when connection speed is at its maximum.. Lastly, its not like i was looking for faults to blame on Nairaland. I just felt like drawing something i perceived as "shaky technical balance" to Seun's notice. Thanks for .. All izz well! |
spaq: Garri, my G... lol. Gbam!!.. All izz well! |
safarigirl: una no dey yan BB related tins there na. The thread lost it's purpose after the show.lol. True! Hope you're good sha. .. All izz well! |
Wheew!! Loving the story the more. ![]() Its getting deeper. @frank,i think you mistook Sandra for Linda------ I am referring to the last update where she called Insp Lucky that she just escaped.. It should be Sandra not Linda, i think! .. All izz well! |
