Pprovost:Yea. That's what Uniben did from the look of things. The people they invited are the first batch admission list. Now, if the people they invited have already made the list, that's bad news for those not invited yet. Because that means as it stands, Uniben already has 1st and 80% 2nd batch admission list compiled, meaning not everybody will get invited for the second batch because about 60% of the available space would have already been filled, leaving Uniben with no option than to invite ONLY those who made the second batch like they did with the first. Now, if the people they invited are rather going to fight for their admission via face-face screening (which I doubt) , still bad news for those not invited because it means their chances of getting admitted depends on how many first batchers are able to ace their face-face screening. This means Uniben will admit as many that can pass the screening. Imagine Uniben inviting 7000 students and 6,500 pass the screening, E don be for second batch be that oh! Those not invited yet, please don't start giving up. Though, I know it's easier said than done. Just remain hopeful, all will work out well. But still put it at the back of your minds that the fact you have not been invited is not a guarantee that you will be, in the second batch. Uniben will most certainly not invite everybody who crossed the benchmark, they cannot handle such a crowd. Impossicant! And Incase most of you have not noticed, admission don start. That drunk admission officer needs to be flogged with koboko soaked in Mama Ebo pepper stew for disgracing the position he holds, forgetting that bringing of scratch cards for clearance didn't just start this year. As a matter of fact, there is a clearance officer assigned to each faculty, whose job is to use the provided scratch cards to verify your result online before changing your Kofa page status to 'Cleared'. We went through the same process last year. Are you sure the person you talked to works at the admission office? because from all indications, the person you spoke to is one of those cleaners tasked with making hall 3 bed bug free. Even at that, most cleaners are familiar with Uniben's clearance process: this cleaner you met must be new. emazion:Going by our resumption date of 22nd and lecture commencement date of 26th, it's only logical that you guys should have started physical clearance by tomorrow, to enable you start receiving lectures on time and meet up with the academic calendar. Now, based on my observations, Uniben has every intention of doing just that, because there is no way in this world that Uniben will have the time and resources to screen only the Medical aspirants that beat the initially released cut-off, not to mention everybody, spanning to several faculties. I can assure you that as we speak, the list of admitted students, compiled using Waec grades, jamb scores, catchment area and other factors Jamb and Universities have agreed to use, is already in Uniben's safe haven. The online uploading of credentials you guys were asked to do, I believe, was just a way to verify if candidates on the admitted list have any shortcomings as to getting their required courses. The physical screening you guys are talking about will not in any way decide your fate; if Uniben is going to admit you or not, as long as you have all your relevant documents with you. I am simply saying this because the physical screening you guys are talking about is the normal physical clearance every Matriculating set has, and will continue to do after gaining admission. The so called physical screening na just physical clearance, dem just package the name. Uniben is not stupid not to have started compilation of names by this time, not to mention, that of thousands of students almost 8 times higher than her normal admitting capacity. Lastly, but most importantly, if all what I have said concerning this year's admission modus operandi is what is going to happen, then I am sorry to inform that not everyone who did this online uploading stuff exercise will get invited on their kofa page tomorrow or next,-- pending when physical clearance will begin-- for the final stage, which is physical clearance or whatever fancy name they now call it. I waka suffer waka no be small. At a point, I became to the "go to" guy for issues concerning correction form and expert consultant for delayed clearance due to incomplete documents and logging out issues. CaptEColeJnr:Unfortunately, due to the new policy that came into play last year, Uniben will not accept just your online GCE print-out. You will have to go to your school and pay 7k then collect a receipt bearing your school's stamp and take it alongside your school ID card to Waec's Headquaters at Yaba, Lagos where your finger print and passport will be captured after which you will pay another 7k to be issued a stamped and signed temporary green and white printout bearing all your grades and picture which will now suffice in place of your statement of result. I learnt that this new method is a measure used by WAEc and other bodies to checkmate issues of fraudulent registrations by ghost students who didn't complete secondary education. It's a stressful process, yes! But it's worth it as it will no doubt reduce fraud in our educational system. Erm, one more thing, I was just kidding. Lol . Don't worry, just take your online GCE printout with you, it will be accepted because GCE is a private subset of WAEC that doesn't have statement of result. However, if GCE WAEC certificates for the year you wrote is out before your clearance date, i advice you go and get it from the State head Waec office where you wrote the exam. I used GCE too for my clearance last year, only that my certificate had already been ready few years prior. 2 Likes |

I will also like to inform you guys that your physical screening date at the auditorium will appear on your clearance invitation letter immediately or 24hours after you upload the required credentials online. You can choose to wait till midnight of September 11th before uploading in a bid to push your physical screening date further, but it is with great pleasure that I wish to inform you of a specially customised, hidden time machine uniben used last year to tackle this issue when those who tried to play smart saw something like "you are hereby invited to the auditorium for screening on September 25th" when the candidate in question, did online clearance on September 27th. As you can see from the screenshot below I took from someone's kofa page, there will be physical clearance at the auditorium like we did last year. I cropped out the sensitive areas but as you can see, that's a clearance invitation letter/slip. Make una better dey chop bellefull now that you have VERY LITTLE time on your hands. Goodluck guys!

Thumbs up man! I love creative people who go against the norm. However, I will like to bring to your notice that there is no phone called "Galaxy Note S3" with a 12mp back camera and a 4.8inch screen size. There's only Samsung galaxy note 3 that houses a 12mp camera at the back like you said but has a 5.5inch scren and also another model called the "s3" with a 4.8inch screen like you said but houses an 8mp back camera. Even though acheiving what you did with either a note 3 or s3 would still be astounding, I ll like you to clarify the particular phone model you used. 1 Like |

RobinHez:The only way this latest update will make sense to me is if some courses that we know to be normally 200 have been benchmarked to a higher score as indicated by this statement on that paper-- "except courses with a higher bench mark score stated on the university website"-- to screen out some students. I am saying this because of what relevance will this update be to this year's already confusing admission process if it's just going to be the normal "everybody who scored 200 and above can pay us 2,500naira and do the screening". To screen what? To screen who out? Then again, there's the question of jamb list? Does this screening qualifies one to be eligible to be included in jamb's list or what? If the list is ready and has been forwarded to jamb, then of what use is this so-called "pre admission screening process"? In short, I Don tire and confuse for these people mata. I don't know how this Year's clearance will go: if there will be physical clearance or not. If there will be physical clearance like the previous year, then I beg ya'all who have issues with name, dob, and others to go to the auditorium immediately clearance begins so you can fill correction on time and avoid late clearance wahala like--not being able to apply for hostel space, not being able to concentrate in classes because most of your mates have been cleared while you've not, ageing five times faster than normal because you keep thinking about the day your Kofa page will change from "clearance requested" to cleared. I am hammering on the consequences that must surely rear her ugly head should anybody with issues decide the best time to go for clearance is a week or two after clearance commences. I went for clearance just one week after it started and God know wetin my eye see before I was finally cleared. This is because when you fill the correction form during clearance, the clearance officer will compile all the correction forms for that week and send to Admission office who will then forward it to UAB. UAB then fixes a date on which her memebers will decide on each individual's case and give a verdict contained in a letter. This letter then gets forwarded to Admission office which forwards it to your clearance officer who inturn notifies you via your Kofa page (if the clearance officer na correct person) to come for your clearance. Yes, this is when you get to clear finally. I don't want to mention the number of times I kept frequenting Admission Office to confirm if my letter from UAB was ready. It took a month and 1week or so before I finally laid hands on my letter. Having said only a few, if you still wan start your clearance a week after, then fine. Even those without issues caught a glimpse of hell before they finally got to clear, not to mention someone who has to go through the rigors of correction form. I am not trying to scare you but just stick to my advice and watch the stress you probably would have gone through drop by a whooping 90%. Shalom! 3 Likes 1 Share |
