How's the admission wait? No mind Uniben jare, dem too like mind games.

It's seems though, that the delay is due to the un-skillfulnes or should I say laziness of the admin incharge of handling technicalities on the proposed admission status site.

I saw two test posts there not too long ago. One was clearly written as "This is a test post". The other, was "hello world" - the infamous two words every rookie trying to learn programming first uses as a rite of initiation into the world of coding.

Anyway, the resurrection of the site from the dead should mean something is on the way, HOPEFULLY SHA. Cos I can feel the restlessness and anxiety. E no easy.

However, at the end, I believe what really matters is not how long the list takes to arrive, but seeing your name on it whenever it eventually does arrive. Na my prayer for the anxious and restless be dat.

CALABAR, NIGERIA - Reflecting over its life over & over again, and staring absent-mindedly into empty space with big sad eyes and soaked whiskers, local house cat, Omotovie, reportedly shook his head continously after it recalled the event of how it was aggressively assaulted and brutalised with sprinkles of holy water by a religious woman who accused him of evil.

"Well, I am cat. We are agents of evil used by dark forces to torment the children of God. Thank you Nollywood." spoke the thoroughly soaked, dripping, emotional cat who was now tearing up a little, but quickly lightened up and wiped his eyes after reminding himself of how much more worse life could have been if it was an Owl.

That link is obviously not fake, it's genuine.

If you were a scammer after people's money, after successfully hacking Uniben.edu, wouldnt the logical and sensible move revolve round making the "check admission status" link show admitted to almost, if not everybody to make them eager to pay? How come no single aspirant( not on this thread alone) has seen admitted yet?

Besides, should anybody want to pay, that person will have to generate a remitia code. All Remitia transactions go into Uniben's account, so how is it a scam?

Secondly, from the looks of things, Uniben is uploading the list as I am typing, or planning to do so this night or maybe tomorrow. The portal was created in preparation for the uploading and was probably somehow hidden so that when the uploading is done, the Admin will then move it to a visible , attention grabbing area on the site. And then maybe Kofa.

I might be wrong but certainly not far from the truth.

Una dey cry make Uniben paste list... paste list.... release list. Person finally bring info concerning the list, dem begin call am scammer. Atimes, a little research and use of common sense to put two and two together is all that is needed.

Anyways, wishing you guys goodluck as the moment ya'll have been waiting for has finally arrived, and a tensed night. Some people don go shiit like 5 times already.

Don't also forget to start checking jamb portal for your admission status. Our admission first reflected on jamb's portal before it was updated on Kofa about a week plus later.
To see admitted before it becomes official dey sweet die.

I get one forgotten airtel card for my wallet. E be like say no 100naira abi 200h sef(dem no write price for the body). First person to get admitted here takes it. Use am take call your village people tell dem say their plan no work

Abeg, make una use style begin check kofa this night. Nobody will know for sure immediately the list comes out. It will spread by word of mouth first, before school will officially announce. That was how it happened during my set.

I am saying this beacuse names for permanent accommodation have been pasted at various halls of residence. I think It was pasted today.

Meanwhile, these two schools above(UI and Unilag) used 50:50 while UNN used 60:40 and OAU used 70:30 jamb to waec ratio.

All these schools made their modalities public early enough bro. Uniben aspirants deserve to know the specific modalities for their admission by now too.

Anyways, let's just wait and see. But I have this strong conviction that irrespective of the model one uses to calculate their final score, 60 should be fine to at least secure admission. Below 55 should be treading on dangerous waters.

Oh boy see score! Your head dey hot oh. If Uniben adopts either of the models, it will be a negative miracle for you not to gain admission.

Uniben is verrrrrrrrry secretive with their cut-off marks for admission. I don't think Uniben has ever officially released cut-off marks. Even the printed slip containing cut-off marks that was making rounds last year was merely a speculation.

Oga, Uniben has already compiled her admission list as at the time of this post. Anybody that suggests otherwise is a drunkard.

That post was for the guy who wants something to hold on to before the list surfaces.

My posts are not facts- never take them as facts, to avoid pointing accusing fingers at the end. I was only speculating like he requested of me.

Trust me, I and other staylites in their multitudes, probably want the list out as soon as possible more than you guys do so that we can move into permanent hostel accommodation, but Uniben has to be given some breathing space, too. It's only fair.

The crowd they handled was mammoth, and the admission process undergoes rigorous scanning and compilation that takes time, to avoid the slightest possible error. I think direct entry students finished their screening less than a week ago, so ya'll should exercise little patience.

No worry. Una go see list, una go tire to dey re-check am( in a good way though)

Sorry for the late reply.

Well, from all indications, Uniben WILL use calculations made using both jamb and waec grades to arrive at a cut-off mark that as usual, will vary according to departments.

Use both Unillorin's and Unilag's calculation system that made front page not too long ago and tell me what score you arrived at at the end after using each system.

Ya'll on this thread can do it and paste your scores here, to get an imaginary, but yet realistic average that might not be too far from what uniben MIGHT use. But I no sure say una go green co-operate with each other.

At the end, just put it at the back of your mind that not getting admission is not the end of the world. Your potential as a person is what matters most, school or no school. This will somehow lower your expectation before the list arrives and cushion the blow should things go south. Trust me, chool is overrated--take that from somebody already in the system.

I actually went to the auditorium few minutes ago against my better judgement to confirm if what whoever cooked-up this update is saying is indeed true, and I can categorically tell you for sure that: Yes, I was right, the 2016/17 admission list is out of the question for now. I saw nothing pasted anywhere. Na just staylites wey wan change their level dem dey attend to and other ICT complains.

I doubt if Uniben will paste any manual list in the school environment when they have Kofa that is more reliable and efficient.

For the waka wey I waka ontop hot sun just to check an imaginary list I knew was never at the auditorium just to cool una already flaring temper, all of una go contribute money cook special food for me on una Matriculation ceremony day. sad
