If the list does not come out before Monday, which is the day Jupebites are to begin clearance, then Iam very sure the list will come out only after Jupebites finish clearance.
And iam also very sure of another thing if the above is the case. No admitted jupeb candidate will see his/her name in the second batch.
I suspect Uniben is trying to make sure nobody gets double admission via jupeb and pume. Since Jupebites are not sure if they will make the list or not, they will proceed with thier clearance to avoid stories that touch. After that, jupeb candidates who made the list will be removed and replaced with others, which in a way solves the admission space problem to a lil extent.
I might be wrong, but it kinda makes perfect sense if the way Uniben is rushing the Jupebites with the release of their result, their admission list, and now, clearance despite the fact that we pumeites don dey wait tey tey is anything to go by.
Like I said, I might be totally wrong, but it does make sense. |

Ijehk7: RACE** I was jogging this morning and I noticed a person in front of me, about 1/2 a kilometer. I could tell he was running a little slower than me and I thought, good, I shall try to catch him. I had about a kilometer to go my path before I needed to turn off. So I started running faster and faster. Every block, I was gaining on him just a little bit. After just a few minutes I was only about 100 yards behind him, so I really picked up the pace and push myself. You would have thought I was running in the last leg of London Olympic competition. I was determined to catch him. Finally, I did it! I caught and passed him by. On the inside I felt so good. "I beat him" of course, he didn't even know we were racing. After I passed him, I realized I had been so focused on competing against him that I had missed my turn. I had gone nearly six blocks past it. I had to turn around and go all back. Isn't that what happens in life when we focus on competing with co-workers, neighbors, friends, family, trying to outdo them or trying to prove that we are more successful or more important? We spend our time and energy running after them and we miss out on our own paths to our God given destinies. The problem with unhealthy competition is that its a never ending cycle. There will always be somebody ahead of you, someone with better job, nicer car, more money in the bank, more education, a prettier wife/gf, a more handsome husband/bf, better behaved children, etc. But realize that "You can be the best that you can be, you are not competing with no one." Some people are insecure because they pay too much attention to what others are doing, where others are going, wearing and driving. Take what God has given you, the height, weight and personality. Dress well and wear it proudly! You'll be blessed by it. Stay focused and live a healthy life. There's no competition in DESTINY, run your own RACE and wish others WELL. Nice... But next time you lift a work thats not yours from the web, be kind enough to reference the author whose work you are posing as yours. If you dont know who the author is, at least reference where you saw it from. It doesn't make you a lesser man. Alot of sweat goes into writing. Alot of thinking also goes in before the pen is put to work. The right word has to be scrutinised and chosen from a plethora of others. The right word has to be used in a certain way and at a particular time. Alot goes into making a piece and E dey seriously pain me when people try to take credit for other people's sweat. |

mikuz: Na you wey get problems.
Naval voted for Dark and yet he 'concurred' that there be a rematch. How can you give a win in a battle and still ask for a rematch? Which kain reasoning be that.
They were simply swaying. The rules says VOTE AND LEAVE it didn't say vote and concur! So na crime to give win and still suggest a rematch cos you felt the better part of a brawl was debatable and both emcess will want to win the other, given the history they both have? If that is what you call swaying, you either dont know what swaying means or you are a crook. We all know which the case is, . |

The sky-high number of those with excellent scores has really made everything a survival for not jus the fittest, But The Luckiest! trust me, Some people will be admitted On grounds of sheer luck. It's natural for one to grow impatient when something keenly expected dithers. Yea. Some people are just lucky. My cousin who just got admiitted was verrrrry verrrry lucky. mesoade: corroborating my theory . . . .last year all of us that had above 50 but not up to the cut-off of our desired courses were sure of being admitted but was just eager to know "which course" . . .jamb caused everything when they marked people high . . .last year,if you didn't meet up with law's cut-off you might be offered ENL.edu(cos dia was space ,meaning if the department wants to take 200students,those that applied for it in jamb and had above 50 ain't up to 200 ,so the remaining space is filled with those that did not meet up to law's cut-off) . But now even somebody that applied for ENL.edu and ahd 59agg is not in the merit, meaning that the cut-off might be 61 whc implies that about 150ppl had 61 above, and their name is in merit list already,so if you are from edo and had 60 or 59,or you get connections,or you are from an ELDS,you should be expecting your name in 2nd list . .so those that didn't meet up law's cut-off have few spaces, maybe in faculty of foreign languages . .this is just solely my opinion. I understand what you've said. Even before the exam was written, I knew this was going to be the most complicated Pume(admission wise) in the history of Uniben. The useless jamb transfer policy, which fortunately, met an untimely death was the final nail in the coffin. Many good scores will be wasted this year. Hearts will be broken, dreams shattered. Not an angel of doom, but thats the reality of the current situation. *heavy sigh* |

I cannot verify the authencity, but somebody said...**wipes fore-head with handkerchief**
somebody said nineteen thousand people passed the pume exam but Uniben wants only nine thousand, hence the delay.
If true, it means Uniben will have to find a way to screen out not one, two or three but 10,000 qualified candidates.
