OneCandleAway: Gbam bro!!! Kyari held the system and it was actually making better sense. As the man left, everything scattered. Buhari is a good man. Without a strong backup, straightforward people don't lead well in Nigerian politics. Why I like that small man called Osibanjo, he's intelligent, smart, good, but not all that straightforward...😂 |

Buhari is too dull...Personally, he is a good man with good intentions, but a bad leader and administrator. He allows everyone do their assignments without interference. Too bad Tinubu Is a better leader and potential president( than Buhari); except that the foundation of his emergence is already faulty. I still wish Obi won. Obi may not have the political will and experience to handle a country withso much diversity like Nigeria and deliver all the hype during the campaigns; sha just allow Nigerians pick their leader. Those still hoping Obi will reclaim some mandate should lessen their hope and go about their businesses. Well, Let's leave that to fate. To think you'll reclaim mandate from Tinubu sounds like play to me. Emi Lokan? You see that structure wey them de shout, them get am strong for Inside Judiciary. Las las, nobody pass God. May whatever outcome be most favorable🇳🇬🙏🏻 130 Likes 7 Shares |

ReonTOND: For a while I learned to mind my business. But the temptation on this post just too high. Couldn't resist. Did you actually say “creative writers”? 😑 Not me thinking the lowest low obtainable these days (for even regular rewrites) is around 2.5/word. Like, lowest low low😪 Baba say “attraction: steady works round the year” You even de speak yeye English join, sounding like one boss: “....do not establish contact” 😂 isn't it common logic that you CANT find a good,( let alone long-term) writer on these terms? Does that require prophecy? ☹️ You suppose de AY Live de perform as upcoming artist. Na comedy de your blood. Good writers no de crack this kind ribs-twisting joke. 😆 IF NOTHING ELSE, my guy, fuel is 350 per liter.🥶 Locally, #1.5 was considered low 5 years back. Currently, cost of living is arguably over 300% up since then. Shouldn't these factors naturally reflect in our dealings? You will definitely get applicants. But 99.2% of your applicants should be dudes (who, well, ‘can read and write’) hustling for data subscription or related one-off needs. Not writers-- you even add creative join. Stop playing. It's a new year. If you mean business, prove it.😎 6 Likes 1 Share |

cleverseo: About same time last year, I got a surprise email with a N10-per-word long-term gig offer - FROM A NIGERIAN blogger. On my first delivery, he mentioned almost giving up on NL writers, but thought to try one last time; then found my contact. Lately, he needed some other gigs somewhat outside the scope of our regular engagements, and I recommended NL again. Baba declined. He say e no fit snake through the “too much noise” on the platform. LOL Sadly, [Like Baba and BoarderlessTrade ],many still de recount their bad experience with writers wey them jam on NL. In the search for budget-friendly rates, some prefer ‘Indians’ on foreign job boards and platforms like Indeed, Reddit, Quora, etc to NLers. Na statement of fact say Nigerians are among the most dominant and top-performing freelancers on popular foreign job boards. NAiraland, being naija’s biggest brand, [shey I correct?] should be a sure plug for A-class freelancers — from writing to graphics, and everything between. But, apparently, we never ready for that conversation. See Reddit, for instance. They have well organized threads with detailed rules for hirers/hirees ( including minimum rates etc). If we replicate that pattern on NL, it would be a shoo-in! Truthfully, initial set up and consistency might be somewhat tricky, but If achieved, it’ll turnout a small reliable community many would appreciate, eventually; both the for-hire and hirer. But then, it starts with interest: 1. Cleverseo 2. 3. 4. 5. Who else thinks it’s worth it? |

Blossompowerpuf: I tireee my brother. And na them find quality pass. You go hear: SEO 24-hour delivery Attention to details Zero plagiarism Premium Grammarly Copyscape Native English AP editing All these cruise na ontop #1 —in the year 2022 You outsource when you know the original bargain is bogus enough to settle your workers well-enough and still have something in your pocket. My point is, if you’ll keep picking up peanut-paying tasks from Indians, then ready to do am by yourself. 2 Likes |

OP, you no try at all. Trusting faceless monikers to handle a project as sensitive as you mentioned -- without any thorough unboarding process -- was very unreasonable. It's understandable if you found them on jobboards like fiverr, upwork and co, and hired based on their gig reviews. Besides, how do you screen a group of self-acclaimed 'writers' with individual assignments and with the intention to publish each of their submissions? No reviews? no personal expereince with them, no referals?? Also, from day one, trust was a big issue; a concern youre yet to clear. A link to one of your profiles would have settled the dust. I no doubt you o, but wonder why you havent addressed this identity issue; which seems a big one on such a forum; particularly with your 'irregular' offer. Well, as mentioned, brother, NL is not exclusively a writer's forum. So, it's tough to tell who is, and who isnt. Here, anyone who has a gmail ID and can spell the terms " I am a writer" is a writer. After all, job no kuku de anywhere. But who's to blame when they deliver what they know best and expect their PROMISED wages? YOU! Of course, they should get paid for their work. Except such deliveries do not satisfy the mutually agreed terms and conditions --if any -- a workman is worth his wage. The Bigger Worry it's funny how we find only terrible offers on Nairaland. I have [almost] never seen a 'good offer' posted here. The Baba of them all na N3 per word. Although i've enjoyed some good gigs here, the jobs weren't posted; I was emailed via my signature. It's either the likes of Ekems2020 who has a 50kobo-per-word offer and only pays I think e go make sense if we create some sort of "Freelance Writing Job Board" thread where only 'verifiable' monikers will be taken seriously to hire and be hired. By good standard, N6-minimum-per-word is relatively cheap for industry-grade deliveries -- or, las las, say N4. If people looking to outsource can find such 'trusted' hands on here without any much testings and interviews and dispointments, i think more hirers will bookmark the thread for a go-to outsourcing solution. Back to OP - Mr, you no try at all. Las Las, Godspeed! My signature, though 4 Likes |
