Christianity EtcRe: The truth your pastor would not tell you about tithes by kumbalo(m): 6:48pm On Nov 28, 2008
@ Poster,

Thanks for the post, i have always wanted to pour this out. I believe those who think changing their perception about tithing at this level could cost them their relationship with God would find it hard to believe. Some would not even want to read, because they have had an overdose of this "tithe" thing.

never mind if anyone(Pastors or intending pastors) tries to criticize your point and quotes as they were not quoted out of context.

all i know is You have Taught a lot of them what they do not know

Peace be unto you!!!

ComputersIs My Hard Disk Drive Crashed? by kumbalo(op): 2:43pm On Nov 26, 2008
I Put on my PC yesterday morning and found an error message at the bottom while it was posting quoted 'Disk read error" after trying to repair my operating system (Win XP Pro Service pack 2) it still would not boot up to Windows. I contemplated on formatting the hard drive using NTFS file system.

I then partitioned my Hard drive and formatted it. I noticed my PC{ (Csmiley drive} became very slow without installing any application on it. i haven't experienced any PC as slow as that before ( 3.0GHz p4 Processor, 512mb RAM).

I decided to format the other partition (Dsmiley using the same method but this other partitions worked very fine. all through yesterday. only for me to see the same error message this morning.

My questions are; Could it be as a result of too many clusters, if so what can i do? or is the HDD crashed?

your objective comments would be highly appreciated

I wonder if all these people asking you to quit will be there to help you out latter in life.
I wonder o!

Divorce is better discussed than experienced
Ring it to her hear again!

@ poster

Cheating on one's spouse isn't new because it happens every where, you would agree with me that in some society it's even beginning to become a norm. Many only hope not to be victims of the aftermath of the circumstances but what makes your post more interesting is your idea of drawing conclusion without knowing 'why' he is cheating on you is baffling.

My advice: sit him down, ask him why, check yourself for any excesses that (deep down in your mind) you know could be responsible for his action and see how you could talk things out with him. I want to to remember that you will be responsible for any decision you take.

God bless you.

PoliticsRe: Lagosians: Is Fashola The Expected Messiah? by kumbalo(m): 10:21am On Nov 21, 2008
But why are you guys praising the man for what he is employed/appointed/elected/selected to do? The man is just doing what ordinarily should be his job description as a governor. It is only in Nigeria that public office holders are celebrated for doing what they are supposed to do.

What else is he f*#cking there for other than to fix the roads, the street lights, hospitals, etc?
i tire o

Messiah? huh As if they money he uses in doing them were his huh
Christianity EtcRe: Obedience and church work! by kumbalo(m): 10:02am On Nov 21, 2008
Be aware of one thing. Your Pastor is a man. An ordinary man just like your boyfriend.
The only difference is he's in a position of authority, which he's using to his own advantage.
He's able to get away with it because the mother church has bestowed on him all the advantages, while ordinary cretins like you are to be seen, used and not heard. Any attempt to speak up will earn you opprobrium and a lot of embarrsssment. You could even be called a satanic agent on assignment to distabilise the church by confronting the man of God.
I know, because my mum passed through something similar. A 56year old woman going to do laundry for her church Pastor all in the name of Divine obedience!

So, what I would advise is
1. Don't confront him. You can never win as he holds all the aces.
2. Don't do anything you don't have a mind to do. He can never force you. At worst, he may threaten you with excommunication. Fine.
3. Remember he's just a man. He may have the spirit of God, but then so do you. Do not let anyone use the Bible to confuse you.
4. Strive to stand right with God. If your spirit is clear before God, then you have no problem.

Peace
i concur

in addition to this, you can always have another pastor but not another parent
BusinessRe: Entire Computer Village Shut Down Over Tax by kumbalo(m): 9:40am On Nov 21, 2008
I learnt the market was shut down not only because of tax evasion but also for some environmental sanitation offenses. i think it's a decision in the right direction as the govt had severally sensitized the occupants about the importance of a clean environment and the need to pay tax.

I believe they never expected this considering the fact that they were not used to paying tax. . . they must have been counting their losses; now they would learn their lessons grin grin grin

FamilyRe: Her Husband Wants Her Back Home! by kumbalo(m): 2:52pm On Nov 19, 2008
it's indeed a dilemma for her but in my opinion i think she should get her documents and find her way back maybe then they can talk things out. Leaving for a tougher life here isn't a good idea. the fact that they have kids makes things even more difficult. . Let her also pray for God's Wisdom.
RomanceRe: What Are You Going To Do If You Find Out Ur Love Is Your Blood Relation? by kumbalo(m): 5:44pm On Nov 18, 2008
Probably you need help to understand the post very well. I did that post on what is happening in real sense of life. Or are u nt a Naigerian. Haven't you heard of stuffs like this. Infact, there was one that was very common long time back of a twins- a boy and a girl whose parents seperated while they were still babies. The father went away wth the girl and the mother took the boy. They both lived in differnt countries. While the two met, courted and got married, none was aware. They actually had to get married secretly because the lady got pregnant in courtship. When they got married to themselves and had already given birth they decided to invite both parents before they found out that they were twins. They eventually killed themselves because they cudn't just stand the news. I did this post because yesterday smeone said the person he was dating whom he actually met during his service and decided to introduce her to the family after a year of dating, nw found out that she was his niece. The whole family is in confusion and outburst because they think it is a taboo and says a big NO to the marriage while he is thinking of damning the consequences because of the love he has for her. Hope you nw understand. I am not being weird here and I base my stories on real life happenings because I dnt believe in pretence. So if you av got smethn to say to d post please do deligently and if nt, U knw what to do.
i heard a similar story sometimes ago that a Step son got a step daughter pregnant and so many other ones. Believe me, this could happen to any body , just anybody cos it's a small world

the one whom you dearly treasure and want to spend the rest of your life with is ur blood relation say Sister, brother, niece, uncle, aunt, nephew bla bla bla. What are you going to do?
I will simply quit the relationship than spend the rest of my life struggling, fighting, having quarrels with relatives of mine over what they consider an abomination(whose views in a way, i share, because of my family background) cool

SportsRe: Nigeria Gives Up Hosting Of Under- 17 World Cup by kumbalo(m): 6:14pm On Oct 24, 2008
I have a mixed feeling about the statement Mr President made. As much as i appreciate his proper placement of priority, i think this should have been decided before now. i remember FIFA officials were in Nigeria few months ago to confirm our readiness, but the president through the Minister for Sports stated that the country was very ready for the competition. So why this U-turn with barely 1 year to the beginning of the competition?
I am of the opinion that the Presidency should look into how to make proceeds from the competition and how to reduce cost,

Our country's image (once again) is at stake. If we fail to host this, 'History' may never forgive us.

Make una beg oga President ooo huh

it would rather be too early to say this would be the decider, the Reds (in this form of theirs) can get a point at Stamford bridge with an injury-stricken Chelsea team. Honestly i see the Pensioners staying on top of the table all through the end of the season. have a happy viewing, cool

shakes head" africans sha. make una dey there dey complain about names. the world is advancing and moving forward, women are being recognized as human beings in the society with voices and opinions, and some of you would rather be stuck in the dark ages. i feel sorry for you. anyway, its only a handful of people that still object to their wife keeping her last name, those that have a complex and think the wife is property that should be stamped! hiss! Angry
i'm keeping my last name, it is very precious to me. most of my siblings are girls, so it's even more important that we keep the name alive! if i had my way, my future kids would bear my maiden name plus their father's name too! Grin oh, wait, i'll just name one child with my maiden name. yes, that's it!
where is our culture? , our Tradition? don't let these 'pink guys' steal the only legacy we have all in the name of civilisation. you know very well that it was never our practice.
with all honesty,i have a problem with that undecided
FamilyRe: Ladies Who Hold On To Their Father's Surname In Marriage by kumbalo(m): 2:03pm On Oct 22, 2008
For the risk of sounding masochist, I believe any lady that plans to keep her maiden name is really not interested in becoming a FULL member of her husband's family. (you know it is a lot easier to drop of the name after the hyphen should a misunderstanding arise).
Seconded
