Behind bobo:Well said. Why its hard for ppl to understand is beyond me. Credit is a good thing. However its a double edge sword. Once you get it, you are under pressure to pay up or meet up. Only in Nigeria ppl take loans without the plan of paying back. ![]() |

These vehicles are often severely damaged before they are rebuilt and refurbished parts are typically used during reconstruction. In most states, an inspection of the vehicle is required before the vehicle is allowed to return to the road. Manufacturer Buyback or Lemon Title A DMV or a state agency marks an official document or issues a Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon title when a vehicle has been repurchased by the manufacturer. Not all states issue manufacturer buyback titles and the specific requirements for a lemon law vehicle varies by state. Odometer Rollback If a more recent odometer reading is less than an older reading, then the odometer may have been tampered with and "rolled back". Manufacturer Recall Automobile manufacturers issue recall notices to inform owners of car defects that have come to the manufacturer's attention. Recalls also suggest improvements that can be made to improve the safety of a particular vehicle. Most manufacturer recalls can be repaired at no cost to you. Basic Warranty Most manufacturers offer a basic warranty for new vehicles. These warranties vary by manufacturer and typically last for a certain amount of time and/or a set number of miles. Not Actual Mileage Title When the seller certifies, under the Federal Odometer Act, that the odometer reading does not reflect the vehicle's actual mileage. This may occur because the odometer was tampered with, broken, or replaced. Junk Title A Junk Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. The majority of states use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage. Loss Due To Fire Title The vehicle sustained major damage due to fire. In most states, fire damage titles are issued when the cost of repairing the vehicle for safe operation exceeds its fair market value. Exceeds Mechanical Limits Title A vehicle with a 5-digit odometer cannot accurately track mileage after 99,999 miles because the odometer rolls over. This title is the result of a seller certifying under the Federal Odometer Act, that the odometer reading EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS of the odometer. Structural / Frame Damage In most cases, a vehicle is inspected for structural or frame damage, depending on the body design, after an accident or other incident. All levels of accidents from minor to severe can cause structural / frame damage and in most cases it can be repaired. Airbag Deployment Occurs when the driver, passenger or side airbag has been used or deployed during a crash or other incident. If an airbag has been deployed, it must be replaced by a qualified technician. Have this car inspected by a mechanic prior to purchase. Salvage Title A Salvage Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage but the majority use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again in that state. The following eleven States also use Salvage titles to identify stolen vehicles - AZ, FL, GA, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OK and OR. Total Loss An insurance or fleet company declares a vehicle a total loss when a claim exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value or if the vehicle is stolen and not recovered. This damage threshold varies by company. These companies typically take possession and obtain the title. Not all total loss vehicles result in a DMV-reported branded title, like a Salvage or Junk title. See the glossary for more information. Accident / Damage Indicator Various events could indicate an accident or damage in a vehicle's history, such as: salvage auction, fire damage, police-reported accident, crash test vehicle, damage disclosure, collision repair facility and automotive recycler records. See the glossary for more information. Hail Damage Title The vehicle sustained major damage due to hail. In most states, hail damage titles are issued when the cost of repairing the vehicle for safe operation exceeds its fair market value. Flood Damage Title States issue flood titles when a vehicle has been in a flood or has received extensive water damage. Folks, i just requested for the VIN report on what the seller provided. What i can say is that it cant be true. The jeep is right hand drive. Cant be from the US. Hence wasnt supposed to have a US record. The whole deal is a fraud or the seller/poster was just trying to jerk your chains. If its too good to be true, it probably is. How much is the shipping and clearing for the guy to sell at that price? |
if you cant pay for it, dont buy it! |

190:Will you mind meeting with a childhood friend of mine in ibadan? He's the regional manager for one of the leading fast food joints in nigeria. That at least can give you enough confidence. As long as u are comfortable with it. You have my email. |
190:The price is basically the price i will be getting it. Since i am a registered dealer, i will be getting from dealer's auction. Will send it to you at cost cos u have been on this car for long. The car will not be disappointing. That i can assure you. Otherwise price will be higher and you will balk as usual ![]() Of course you have to be comfortable and have faith with the arrangement. Which i dont think you are. You have my offer. My email address is: Promise72@yahoo.com Still. |

All in order. Should be in my hand by the end of the week no later than early next week. Still havent seen your mail. Cant post my number here. Will post the pics as soon as i get it. My email again is: promise72@yahoo.com Still. |
There's nothing that gets me more that reading "picture is too big to upload" . I sit there thinking that you wanna get paid millions of Naira for a car and you cant even figure out where/how to get the pic reduced for it to be posted in the forum?Wonders shall never end. |
kood:So whose fault is it when our guys reach the foreign country and start misbehaving? There are lots of Nigerians in various prisons (or death row) for drug offences. I am not sure that there's a country in the world that have a positive image of Nigerians. NONE!. So is it the problem of the country or we need to police ourself. We complain of being treated bad yet we will not behave properly when we get to these countries. Despite the death penalty in Malaysia or Saudi Arabia, we still have ppl smuggling drugs th these countries and getting caught. Even neighboring African countries have their hands full dealing with Nigerians every time they turn around. So na we be the only one living overseas? I strongly believe that almost all countries have a Nigerian in their prison system at one time or the other. |
amobii:Which is true. White ppl have their own sh*t!. But how many of them do you see thronging to Nigeria Embassy to go to Nigeria by all means necessary? More often than not, when our ppl get overseas, some are not good ambassador of the country. What do you want oyibo to do. Rather than take advantage of opportunity, we abuse it. When there are too many false documents, then its only right for them to deny good documents cos the % of fakes are more than real hence the system is overtaken by suspicion. The only difference with their system is that the % of fakes are minimal compared to the real ones. Their system can still survive. Its still their country and they can do whatever they want. Issue visa or deny it, they have the right! |
can we know how much? or email me at: promise72@yahoo.com |
All i can say is that everyone reading this piece know someone (let me assume its not yourself) that has procure or tried to procure a visa with "fake documents". This does not necessarily mean that the document in itself is fake. it might mean that the process u arfe using the document itself for is fake. If i claim my uncle to be my dad cos he has a huge bank account. His bank account might be legit, however claiming him as my uncle is false. Hence i am making a fake claim with a genuine document. We can jump on this guy's throat all we want. But i think he's up to something. Nigerians don't like the truth. |
from the reviews i read, some ppl like it some dont. Getting parts should be your number 1 concern though. Personally, i will not buy it myself. if i were given one, i will sell it as fast as i can to like 3 states away so that the new buyer wont find me. Cos i know he/se will probably be looking to kill me. ![]() Good luck. |

Now that we know. Please dont derail the thread. Its a nice car nonetheless. A prospective buyer needs to check very well before committing or better still bring a mechanic. Happy sales. |
Clean car. Happy sales. ![]() |
Carshopper:Just kidding. Sort of know. How's business? |
Why isn't the import company itself that brought the motorcycles into the country jumping on the offer? May be its shady? |
Sirdayor:If you gonna look into that, you need to make sure that its something that will move very quickly cos you will need to have a price markup of about 30% to be able to make a profit. Cos you are getting the loan at 19%. Your markup should be higher than your loan rate plus other expenses of getting the product like transportation, bribery oga police , storage/storekeeper etc. That is on the assumption that you have one turnover per year. However, lets say you plan in having the money yield about 50% per year and you can turn around a particular product 4 times a year, that will break down to about 12.5% per trip. So you might markup to 20% to cater for all the business spending like we talked. Take away the 19% (totals almost 80% per year) and that is when you can make a living and save a little for u. Just make sure u buy things that move. You can definately do better than the fixed deposit. A lot of ppl in Naija are armchair investors who wanna be successful with little effort but you can do better. Good luck to you. |
