Welcome to NL. You have good/clean cars for sale. I think you need to clarify in you posting who is going to pay for shipping and clearing. Also mode of payments etc. Many ppl are thinking that you are bringing the car to Nigeria yourself.

Check how much it will cost to clear a tear rubber Accent at customs. Price should be about 9 to 11K depending on options, and shipping should be about 1.5K.

Why dont you want to but from Hyundai in Nigeria?

Dont give the man false hopes. I dont think you can find a 11k hyundai anywhere not to even say 9k for a brand new car. Mind you, ppl at home dont care too much for those hatchbacks. Depends on how many litres it will take to fill up the transmission. Just worried about getting fake oils. Here its about $10 for 1 quart (about 0.95ltrs). Keep us posted whatever u decided to do pls.

@Kunle-A, Thanks for the link, was really informative. Simply means i need to throw away the CEPSA ATF oil, well i just called Honda Place and they informed me that they have MOBIL ATF oil. I'll drive down there to get it, but HONDA PLACE dey charge ooooo, and thats what am avoiding.

Unless you really trust ur source i wouldn't get it just anywhere. You might be jumping from frying pan to fire.

@jtoliver: I just stopped at Mobil filling station around awolowo rd ikoyi to get the Mobil 1 synthetic but they don't sell it, and i've tried all other mobil stations but no success, can u imagine. However i managed to get an ATF called "CEPSA" at mobil, its a Detox III ATF fluid which is what is specified by honda, but am yet to use it, I just put it in my boot and am still searching for the Honda ATF-z1. If anyone knows where i can get the Honda ATF-z1 please help before i use that CEPSA ATF.

Are u in Naija? Its just happened that i was looking at a Ford Van earlier today (V10, triton) The Van had about 268,000 on the odometer. I dont really know any history on the car at all so i couldn't tell if engine is original or rebuild

However, i picked up a 1988 F250 Pickup truck about a month ago. The truck is solid. Has about 66,000 original miles on it. I am the 2nd owner. The truck has only been owned by the same car since new. Its my first Ford truck and just going by whatever the luck brings. I must tell you though that it uses a lot of petrol. Roughly about 5km/liter. I got it primarily for towing things.

I will assume that the Van will be worse in petrol consumption. Mine is a V8, 5.0Litre F250. The Vans i believe are E350 . One guy said he had about 300,000 miles on his truck already. Will keep u posted when i know more on the trucks.

Will u be using this in Naija? Think about it very well before u do. Good luck.

Hello all, I have a honda accord 2003 and i wan't to flush out my automatic transmission fluid and replace it with a new fluid. I have read the honda manual that came with my car and also browsed the internet for information and honda strictly recommends Honda ATF-Z1 fluid. Please where can i get the Honda fluid in Nigeria, lagos to be precise. Has anybody changed thier ATF for Honda accord 2003 and above?, where can i do this in Lagos.

When you find will you pls let me know? The price is almost $10 here in the US and u can only get it mostly thru the Honda dealers. I do understand that there are some substitute for it too. some ppl have claimed that there's no difference from the Original Honda ATF-Z1 and the substitute while others disagree. 

Anyways, the main issue to watch out for in Naija is the issue of fake one! I can imagine them oozing out everywhere in Ladipo mkt or so. Just be careful.

Have u guys tried Honda dealerships in Lagos for a Genuine ones? Don't cut corners, the fluid will always be cheaper than replacing your transmission.    Let me know how you fare. How much did u get it for.

you are sort of with limited options at this point. if you dont wanna get it from hyundai in Nigeria. you have to import it. Are you looking for tear rubber or something with 10,000 to 15,000 miles max will do?

but why? it will probably cost more to run in naija than petrol. We do have few hydrogen vehicles here and lots of propane powered cars.

Oga, sorry to rain on your parade here but IT IS NOT POSSIBLE! That is given that nothing is wrong with the car. You will be lucky to even get a camry 2000 for that price. .

It cost about $1500 to ship a 4Runner. About N250, 000 to clear. That's roughly N490,000 just for shipping and clearing. The cost of the car is not there yet. The profit of the seller is not there. You are left with about N700,000 ($4375 @ N160/$1). It will be hard pressed to get a first grade $Runner and make profit at that money.

In all honesty, be ready to shell out about N2m-N2.2 for what you are looking for or you can get a Naija used

The cost of buying them here will be same"that is if you are buying it yourself overseas and you want to ship it into nigeria.it is better to ship in dutable cars directly through the nigerian port.but if you are to talk of comparing buying in cotonou with that of nigeria,the difference is clear if you know the market well.the white sellers in cotonou often get these cars at a more cheaper rate that if you are to calculate the cost of purchase and shipping into cotonou,and then u as a buyer buys from them and bring into nigeria.whether by paying the duty or not,you will still record a noticeable margin compared to buying it in nigeria.should i aslo point out that not all auto dealers have good link in this business.attimes if you hear the cost price of some cars beign shipped into nigeria(even without exagerating on the price),u will be amazed.Fine,u spend more when shipping a dutable car into nigeria through cotonou cos of the double clearing and stuffs,but the truth is you will find out that the cost price of that same brand of your car down to cotonou is not same with that of the white seller.already,theres a difference which will make yours higher when it lands into nigeria.

Understood. Thats why this is a forum.Its for exchanging of ideas. What's a "white seller" have to do with this i dont know. U.S is U.S unless of course you are comparing the prices of a european spec and a U.S spec of the same car, then there may be a difference in prices.

"White Seller" or not, if you are looking for a US spec car, it has to have been bought from the US. Set aside if its salvage or not. Compare apple vs apple. What i am saying is that the price of the cars will be almost same. Shipping almost same etc. So why get it from Cotonou if you can ship to Lagos.

I will attend the same dealer's auction here as whoever else is selling anywhere but going round and round thru cotonou beats me

This is definately a 2004. The steering, headlight and tail light on a 2005 is different. Even the VIN is showing it as a 2004
