larryshow4:Understood. So with ur experience and calc., how much will a 1997 camry be in a legit way? pls find out for me. |
alanbolo:The issue of how soon u get it might also have to do with ur bank in the US. If you happen to bank with an institution that has a relationship/correspondence with GTB or its affliates and they happen to be on the same network, it will be quicker otherwise the pass-pass from bank-bank will be longer. 48hrs is not bad at all. How about 5days for older gen banks? ![]() Take what u can get. Get in where u fit in. ![]() |

@ Shangy, A 2004 Mazda 6 with clean title, No issue, No story will run you about N1.9m. Mileage will be between 65,000 to 70,000. Car will be clean. I am attaching a similar pics below. That price will be all inclusive. Custom cleared to Lagos. This will be the 2.3Litre 4-Cylinder engine. There's no 1.6/1.8 in the US. The next available engine is the 3.0Litre 6-Cylinder. I will advise to stay on the 2.3L engine. Saves petrol. This particular one will be coming up for auction in few days, however, there are several in similar specs that can be found. My email is promise72@yahoo.com

what are your specs. color? mileage etc. Arent u supposed to arrange financing urself? you might wanna find a naija dealer to help out. |
it all depends on specs and mileage. single axle (6 tyres ) or double axle (10 tyres). Your request is rather too broad. Let me know whats ur request i can point you in the right direction or help u. promise72@yahoo.com |
teddy2t:I am not sure if replying me tru the phone is a good idea. I haven't seen any email from you till date. i suggest that you log on to a computer and send me a proper email. I dont have your email address as well. There's not much i can do at this point. Will be starting my vacation next monday, 31st. So i wont be around to mail the gearbox brain tilll october. I cant act if i dont hear from you. Good luck. |
what i am still trying to figure out is this: Lets say i bring in a 1997 Camry thru cotonou. Will the govt/customs let the car in legally? Are there legal ways to go about the whole deal without the owner being harassed by customs? Can it come in despite it being 1997? |
tonywonder:Any amt limit? Do you know? How long does it take to get to the US. |
And how do you address the delivery of natural gas in Naija? Many ppl don't cook with it so if ts scarce there little complain as opposed to diesel. How do you get it delivered in large qty?NEPA rate is not what individuals will be paying. So using a NEPA propane cost rate vs street rate of diesel prices is not the same thing. i think you may be comparing apples and oranges. NEPA are mega consumers, hence economy of scale. That is why is always cheaper to get your power from NEPA than running a GEN in the first place. What we need is to know the current street prices of gas cylinders and i am not sure how many CuF/litres it equivalent to. Then we calculate like that with diesel street prices. Nigerians are not stupid. Nor all the expatrate and indians/Lebanese manufacturers. If propane gensets are convenient, viable and more economic than diesel, they will have been using it long time ago. Propane might make more economic sense in running a turbine than a genset. I am yet to digest the data very well. As much as i know that numbers don't lie, its easy to lie about numbers tho. |

@ Larez, I would like to think that you are waaaayyyyy to knowledgeable to be talking like this. What is the possibility of getting constant gas in Naija? Also read thru this following links. I will like to see your comparison table if you dont mind. http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38873 |

MrCrackles:Are you retarded? Whats this immature answer? ![]() |
tonywonder:And no problem? |
I am not too familiar with ETB. I am just looking for inputs on how good/bad they are. I reside in the US and have an acct with GTB. However, i am looking to have 2 more acct with really strong banks, hence i am investigating on the two other banks to go for. Quick and efficient foreign transfer for the bank will also be helpful. Thanks |
How's is ETB doing anyway? |

Dear Teddy, The part only applies to VW Turbo 1.8T from 2000 - 2004 according to the dealer. So it wouldnt matter what year it was made as long as the part number is the same. A manufacturer will not make 2 different products with same part number. So no shaking. On the shipping, the shipping i quoted is the next one below the most expensive one. The 3 day Global Express Guarantee costs $124 for the same package Kinda expensive if you ask me. But you decide. Thats a difference of about another $85. i took the item to the post office and UPS to inquire about difference shipping cost/options. So i chose the next one below the most expensive. UPS even wants $150 for a 3day shipment. So let me know. Mind you, they will calculate it as "3 Business days" Since this is Saturday here. We ship on Monday and expect it on Thursday. Weekends are not counted. ![]() |

Dear Mr Teddy, I will have to say that from my point of view here you dont seem to really need this part at all. When i saw your post, i personally called you to let you know that i will wade in and help you out by all means necessary. Afterall, what good is a car that cant be driven. No matter how much you paid for it. I dont need to preach to the choir of how difficult it is to get the part (You can testify). I asked you to send me email which i havent received since our conversation on August 12. I even text'd you few days later but got no response. Sincerely, i contemplated with the idea of dropping the search for the part altogether cos i don't think you are serious/need to get the car on the road so bad. Anyway the part is now in my hands. I am attaching pictures. It will cost you N50,000 (that includes about $40 of shipping to you). The way it will work is that, i will ship it to a close friend of mine who works at a bank in Victoria Island. It will take about 8 Business days by Express Mail. (so expect it no later than the 1st week of Sept. thereabout). You will contact my friend and you guys can decide where to meet. Preferably at his work. You look at the part. You like it, you pay. You don't like it, you owe me nothing! Simple as that. The picture is pretty much self explanatory. No long thing. Once again, in case you missed it in my previous posts, my email is : promise72@yahoo.com Cant post my phone number here. Sorry. The ball in now in your court.

duzz:Where do u get ur info from? I live here in the US and all you are talking about is news to me. Theres no way you can produce power from a gen cheaper than grid. The grid is always cheaper, cleaner and less palava. Also, if ur premise is tru, its much easier getting LPG (natural gas) delivered here. Its already piped everywhere like water and all you need is just to tap it and pay for usage. Getting LPG delivered in Naija is a different type of ballgame. And mind you, a diesel generator is still much cheaper to run than LPG. Why? Cos diesel has a lower "flashpoint" than LPG. Hence you consume much less. People run LPG gens cos they can just tap it underground without having to be messing with diesel all the time. |
your question is too general. its like asking how much does a car cost. It can be $20,000 for a Corolla or $100, 000 for a benz. Dredgers are rated on the amt of sand they can pump and what rate. A sizable dredger can cost about $500,000. You dont have to get a new one.And i will advise you to stay away from a Chinese dredger. Once again on car analogy, theres a difference btw a Corolla and Cherry QQ cars. I am not sure to date of a reputable chinese company making dredgers. i mean with a long track record. I will be glad to know if someone know. pls share with me. You always get what u pay for. If a dredger company can make $$$ selling for $350k rather than $1m. Wouldnt you think they will have sold it to make a lot of money? The little i know about construction equipment, you wanna get one with a proven track record that can withstand harsh conditions and parts readily available. You will always make your $$$ back. On a last note, you wanna get ELLICOT Dredgers if you have to get one. Good luck friend. |
platinumnk:Almost nothing works in Naija. With all good intentions, i can guarantee u that it will be compromised in no time. ATM cards supposed to give people ease in banking. At least thats how it works in the US, but ppl have lost their money in Naija even when they have their ATM cards with them. Th culprits? Some Bankers themselves ![]() Whenever a system is set up, Naijas always look for ways to circumvent it. No investor will put his/her $$$ in a system like that. Why/How people take millions in loans with no collateral? Now banks are crying |
