FROM THE STUDENTS' UNION. 1/1/16 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE ENTIRE OAU COMMUNITY To our ever conscious students population spread around the globe and within the Nigerian geographical landscape, the leadership of the union not only misses your presence but uses this medium to felicitate with the generality of Great Ife students on witnessing a new and hope-filled year. The union reiterates her commitment to a constructive engagement to ensure that the interest of our fecund students is protected and also making indelible impacts. We cannot appreciate you enough for your unflinching support thus far and the collectivism displayed in the on going struggle for an improved welfare condition. As we await the announcement of resumption date in the upcoming senate meeting, we must also inform our students of our unrelenting consultations to ensure a swift re-opening of our prestigious institution for a smooth continuous academic session, as a stable academic calendar is always our paramount interest. We appreciate the members of ASUU, SSANU, NASU and other sister and parent unions for your unalloyed support and objective chastisement. Our heart-warming gratitude also goes to parliamentarians, justices of the judicial council, the UJCM, the MSSN, members of committees, campus fellowships, departmental associations, state associations, press outfits and NGOs on campus. Our appreciation goes to the National Association of Nigeria students(NANS), leadership of Zone D and Universities of Ibadan and Lagos Students' Union for your undiluted solidarity. President Buhari in his media chat already took cognizance of our yearnings as he acknowledges the infrastructural decadence in our nations tertiary institutions. This is a remarkable feat of our struggle. While our doggedness as pioneers of the clamour for improved students' welfare condition must be commended. At this point, it is strategically pertinent to re-direct our agitation to a more national front and outside the four walls of our institutions. We hereby call on the Minister of education cum the Finance Minister to ensure the release of the 500 billion naira earmarked in the 2016 budget for infrastructural development in our tertiary institution. President Buhari's assertions on the unpalatable living and learning infrastructure in our universities vindicate our agitations as a moral one. We once again wish our students a happy new year and an impacting period ahead as we await the resumption date in the upcoming senate meeting . Compliment!!! Aluta Continual Victoria Ascerta Olawaseun Oketooto Secretary General Omotayo Akande (TY) President |

@ d OP,Olida. No 2 is 50% right and 50%wrong *Most schools in the north and some schls in the south eastern states[ELDS] have more chance than us in the south-western states. They fix their cut-off much lower than south western states. I think the cut off is fixed on the basis of the number of candidates from each states. |

I've been PANS president for almost a year now, and I'm handing over sometimes this month. Don't mind olabams, there's no genius anywhere. Some of us only struggle better. We're all in the 'pharmacy school' struggle. I mentioned my cgpa on the first page of this thread, trust me you don't want to know what it is now.
