Watch how foolish EFFC has allowed the executive arm of the federal government to use her to behave FOOLISHLY...

If not; how can Obanikoro, the giver of the bribe, because he has joined the saint party, is now used as a witness. When both men should be facing trial.

We are just backward in our thinking....
Do you know what a prosecution witness is? This is something that is practised in even those forward thinking countries you're talking about. Or how do you think they catch the big fish on corruption scandals? You will have to make deals.

the rate @ which wailers crown any person indicted by buhari administration hope of common man , hero of democracy is so laughable.
how can the trial of CJN chairman distort the hope of common man .. onnoghen had 84 lawyers in CCT today how many common man can afford that.
in the last 3yrs how many common man has pdp/wailers shown support .
There is no hope for common man when each arms of govt keeps acting , we are above the law that is what the lawyers are playing @ now ...
judiciary is for the rich , no money no justice ...
Majority of those against the prosecution of the CJN don't realise that this case shows up the judicial arm for what it is, a mockery. Hell, the three arms of government in Nigeria are a disgrace and many of our people help it remain that way for ridiculous sentiments. Can we just get to the end of the country already.

Can u pls show me or tell me how am deflecting? If u can do that, I would b most glad.

Going by ur line of thought that it is petition that instigates prosecution, how come kemi wasn't eventually prosecuted since we are now in agreement that petitions were written against her?

Y shouldn't I "bring up any more about this or that?" If u feel my "this or that" is wrong or u don't agree with it, counter it with ur facts. U can't tell me what I should say or not say.

If u followed my posts, am sure u would gotten a better understanding of d point I was making. D fact that d CJN can b prosecuted isn't in doubt. D question is how. That is what Afe Babalola was trying to clarify
Yeah you keep bringing up ganduje and kemi Adeosun, those situations are different to this and would only lead to rhetorics. The CJN is to be arraigned before the CCT, there he can now move for his case to be tried by the NJC if he can prove without a doubt that it is unconstitutional for him to be tried by the CCB. And just because afe babalola and falana give their own interpretation of the Constitution for this scenario doesn't mean the state cannot interpret it another way. Walter Onnoghen himself hasn't made such statements so why are people crying more than the bereaved. Let him defend himself.

Oh u mean no one wrote petition against kemi? So how did d kemi issue come out? So because there was no petition that's y she wasn't tried? Then y did she resign? Immunity of a governor doesn't stop efcc from investigating. When EFCC froze accounts of Benue state, y did efcc announce it? When they were investigating fayose as governor, how did we all no?

NB: in d highlighted, are u saying no petition was written against kemi because no charges were brought against her?
My bad, apparently there were petitions that requested she resign as a result of the scandal and She did that. Stop deflecting though, fayose was investigated while he was in office but he wasn't prosecuted, in this situation the CJN can be prosecuted if he is found wanting. Or are you saying that he is above the law because he is the CJN? Don't bring up anymore what about this or that, just say if you believe he shouldn't be prosecuted for falsely declaring assets which is the petition filed against him and he has admitted to.

But what happened 2d members of buharis executive like kemi adeosun& babachir? Y were their cases not treated with d same speed& vigour we are seeing in this case? Or there was no petition written against them? What of ganduje with video evidence? Did efcc need petition 4 that?
Did anyone write a petition against kemi Adeosun? No, because no formal charges were brought against her, but she resigned from her position as a result of the issue. And Ganduje is a sitting governor with immunity granted by the Constitution, I want him prosecuted as well but that won't happen because of our own laws. And isn't babachir lawal's case in court? How is the delay of justice a problem of the executive? The judiciary is to blame for that.
P.s the EFCC will probably have opened an investigation into Ganduje's case but they don't need to tell you and I that. Wait until his tenure runs out.

Osibanjo forwarded what? And so? The presidency does not have the liberty to pick and choose who would be CJN. It is merely duty bound to accept whosoever is put forward by the NJC, based on seniority. Don't come here and make it seem as if the short idiot of a fake pastor called Osibanjo did anything special.
It is called a recommendation, and if the executive doesn't agree to the choice of the NJC, the decision can be revised. It's similar to how the legislature has a say in the selection of the executive's cabinet. We aren't animals, there must be checks and balances in a government.

Based on d highlighted, how many people within d executive have been handed over 2d efcc, DSS or AGF for prosecution despite calls 4 such?
People are not just handed over to the EFCC and the CCB, petitions are filed against them with proofs of misconduct, then these commissions act on the petitions. That's what has been done in this case against the CJN, but Nigerians talk behind these people and expect them to be magically transported into jail cells. Even Buhari can't do that.

The creation of money itself was way to trick finance! Corruption is laden in every economy. You have to manage corruption! You can’t totally kill corruption cause it’s a cycle!

We need to take advantage of corruption and not follow the multitude of kill corruption! We must learn how to harness the weakness of corruption but saying totally eradicating it is like saying you want to totally eradicate racism it will always be there so far finance services are been rendered!
The corruption practiced in Nigeria is highly detrimental, plans for infrastructure building would be made and money paid but not a single brick would be laid. They should atleast do the best job possible, then charge ridiculous fees, then it would be a win win situation for the corrupt individuals and the masses. Take for example a world class stadium is built, construction fees and materials would be inflated but it would recouped down the line. Our own politicians dont think like that.

Or the EFCC are scared of him? You guys can just type rubbish on this forum. You mean Dino acquired all those cars you just analysed up there within three years of being a Senator and no anti-corruption agency has gone after him? Chai...
Please Google dino melaye and see if he had any business prior to being a house of reps member in 2011, then a senator in 2015. Since 2011 till date he has acquired exotic cars worth more than 3.6bn naira in total and had flaunted it openly. If you support that just because the efcc has yet to go after him, you shouldn't ask for nigeria to be better. Although I'm sure you like the status quo seeing as you are probably getting your usual change from the politicians.

you wey sabi, show us evidence that he used government money to acquire his exotic cars. EFCC can probe him, if you have any clue or tips, visit EFCC and petition him or keep quiet.
It's easy really, senators in nigeria collect around 63 million naira a year that's about 252m in 4 years. 4 of the cars in Dino melaye's garage, a gwagon, 51m naira, Lamborghinis, close to 100m each, rolls Royce, averagely 160m. That's 411m, I might be wrong, and there are still other classics in his garage which would cost more. So does Dino melaye have a diamond mine in his backyard that's generating the funds for these cars or is it the constituency allocation. But, fortunately, he doesn't represent my constituency.

I do not care about any lawmaker. I think those who are emotionally attached to a law maker or leadership, in most postcolonial societies, have something which they benefit from them, and understandably so. I do not care about any lawmaker because they don’t feed me and can’t at all.

I’m concerned about institutions— when they crash, believe me, the effects are normally irreversible. It is slow, but when they do, they’ve crashed. The social effects too— nobody seems concerned about that. The Doctor, trained in Nigeria, looks around and sees a compromised security service. He goes online and, in 3-6 months, moves to the U.K. His colleagues move too. Suddenly, a functional hospital closes and the indirect and direct jobs connected to it, goes. Infant mortality and diseases ramp up. It is a vicious cycle.... Unless we want to pretend, we know the clamp on Dino is politically motivated. Unless we want to pretend which Nigerians are good at anyway. I would have applauded the Police if they had, as it’s done under a democracy, issued a warrant of arrest gotten from the courts— and then move to arrest him if he fails to show up. Sadly, what they’ve done is simply Gestapo tactics obtainable in a totalitarian state. Because they, the police, are compromised.

I have written academic papers on this, so I think I know what I’m saying. When institutions are compromised, believe me, it’s a slow but sure walk to failed state status. That is what Nigerians in Nigeria, emotionally caught up in the moment, fail to realise. I’m more saddened that those who are educated enough to know that this, in the long run, isn’t good, are pretentiously laughing.
Actually they have a warrant for his arrest, they invited him for questioning and he refused to show up. Personally i detest all politicians because they flout the laws of our nation and they purposely destroy the institutions we have for their own benefits and many of us the citizens support them blindly in destroying the system just cause of pittance. So we can talk all we want, until the average citizens refuse to be sentimental in situations like this, we are going nowhere

After watching the video and reading the comments from some people i believe burna boy was right about Nigerian youths.

He is being treated this way because he is doing his job. Let's not forget he is a youth and very outspoken instead of licking someone's feet.

See how unprofessional Nigerian police is? This shows they want him dead hence the lack of concern towards his health and if he died then it would have been of natural causes.

I can't believe all this is from opposing the president, remember he is opposition and part of his job is to counter the ruling party. I heard him clearly shouting LIES at the president but nothing wrong in that.

If Buhari wins next Election and osinbanjo is his deputy then osinbanjo will be president at one point. Solve the puzzle
How is he being treated? He was linked to attempted manslaughter of a police officer, yet the police didn't breach his residence and spent eight days waiting for him to come out. Then they accommodated his excesses and theatrics by not bundling him up and dragging him by the trousers the way they would treat you and I. I would say they did well.and finally Dino melaye isnt part of the youth, doesn't speak for us and asslicks saraki with spittle dripping down his mouth.

Read, “Why Nations Fail”, by Daron Acemoglu & James A. Robinson and understand the rapid descent into failed state status which happens when you break down and politicise institutions like the police. Nigerians get intoxicated by seeing their “political enemy” get swallowed by a compromised institution, and I get that. What I don’t get is the almost sworn refusal to see the bigger picture— which will definitely come.

It happened in Somalia. The CAR. South Sudan. Nigeria will not be different. No “prayer” can stop that.
So many things come together to make a nation fail. Our police is corrupt and has always been, so it's not like it's political. But I would like to know if, when politicians are linked to crimes, they shouldn't be treated the same as the common man. Or the country will fail if we punish our leaders as they are above the law? In this peculiar situation, supporting the lawmaker is the wrong choice and would inevitably lead the country to a Somalia and Sudan situation. But when the citizens see that the law is enforced even if it is a bit flawed, maybe just maybe we can shift our implosion just a day forward.

Nigerian youths are certainly lazy, prejudicial and they do not read.

When I first heard this news what I first did was look up this woman's profile on Wikipedia.

This woman was appointed into INEC in 2011 by Gej in an election Buhari also contested.

From her profile, there are many facts showing this woman is not related to Buhari

This woman has demonstrated from all appointments she has taken before to be a woman of impeccable character.

Those claiming she is related to Buhari should bring out proof of where they got that news from.

Pdp can't just be throwing unfounded allegations without substantiating it.

We should learn to form our own opinion on issues before taking any sides
Critical thinking and analysis is not the forte of so many people, all they need is for someone to cook up some rubbish and they just digest it without understanding and regurgitate whatever biased opinions they have preset in their minds based on ethnic, religious and political affiliations. It's very sad really.

You still don't get it or deliberately want to believe that Nigeria Police Force has suddenly repented and now ready to be an apolitical police force by believing in their lies that Dino is indeed wanted for murder! Is it important that u find out from same Police that now wants Dino for murder what has happened to the 7 different criminal charges they brought against him.
If u find out, u can talk well informed. They are not ready to try Dino because they don't have any case, they have never had any case against him. they Just want to keep him away from the election by alleging an additional charge to the 7 failed charges. See beyond the falsehood, it is not about PdP or APC, it is the bastardization of our Police for political reasons that irritates me
You are the one who doesn't get it, people like Dino Melaye understand that whipping up sentiments in situations like this will get them political attention and probably neutralize the law enforcement agents' efforts. Check out a scenario where an individual was charged to court but didn't show up due to claims he was almost abducted and then he is linked to the shooting of an officer. In this scenario, will you say the police should not disturb him as he already has a case in court. Dino Melaye should simply call his lawyer and present himself for questioning. In saner climes, his compound would have been breached on the first day.

I think it is you that need to stop the sentiment. Since July 2018 when the said invitation was extended to Dino, are u aware that he has been arraigned by same useless police force in both Abuja and Kogi State in about 7 different courts for one trumped up charge or the other? Why didn't they arrest him for the attempted murder charge then? Police is using an invitation of July 2018 to justify an arrest of December 2018 when they have had same person in their custody countless times before now. So which of the invitation did Dino refuse to honour? When we support obvious partisanship of a police force in a derelict state of brigandage as has been reduced to by IGP Idris and Buhari's cabal, we will all have ourselves to blame in the future.
When there is a just cause for an arrest, be it 100 different times, the police have every right to take a citizen into custody. The police have stated the reason for the arrest. Just because Dino Melaye is in the opposition party to the ruling government doesn't mean that if he is linked to a crime, it is persecution. Hell if he runs a traffic light and gets arrested for it, it's justified. We the citizens cry out when "big men" get away with murder and various atrocities but when they are arrested we then turn around to scream political persecution. Dino should come out of his turtleshell, get a lawyer and get himself out of the mess if truly he is innocent of the charges.

You don't force an arrest when a suspect has not been declared guilty by the court of law, the police are contravening the law. He first said the polce are trying to arrest him and inject him, some days later he was surrounded at home without any due notice. Why not allow him to surrender himself to the police headquarters than forcing an arrest when he is not running away from the country? It shows something is fishy
There is a warrant for Dino melaye's arrest due to his connection to attempted murder of a police officer, the police sent an invitation to him before this but he refused to respond. And when a suspect has been declared guilty by a court of law, prison is the next stop but first the suspect has to be arrested if an investigation leads to them. Please clarify if you are insinuating that Dino Melaye is above the law so we can know where you stand, not being unnecessarily sentimental because of partisan politics.

Our Lord Jesus taught the same principle. It is summarized in one sentence - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you - Matthew 6:33

God will never take a second place in your life. That is why the first thing you ought to do in the morning is to begin the day with God. This is giving the firstfruit of your time.

Jesus himself is our firstfruit. 1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

The people in the Bible days didn't trade much in cash. There were either farmers or cattle rearers. They don't have to give money as firstfruit since they already gave it in crops or animals.
Did you just twist "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" - Matthew 6:33, to suit your argument for firstfruit. Ridiculous, just ridiculous, salvation is the primary reason Jesus came to earth, not your first fruit or your tithes. Spend more time loving God and less time treating him as a money doubler.
