Do you have a connect pls? I don't mind paying... the person handling said it cant be fast tracked to a week. Legitmenaija: Tell the immigration officer handling your passport to fast track it. You can get it in less than a week sef. You only need to pay a lil extra. |

Hello everyone, please help... my passport expires in September.... i have started the process of getting a new one - capturing is next week. However, i got PPR on the 14th and i am not sure the new passport will be ready within 30 days.
Can i go ahead and submit my old passport for the visa as i actually plan to travel latest by end of August? Or should i wait for the new passport and plead with IRCC for an extension? |

If the passport has up to 4 years validity, there is no need to renew it. PLease use it and submit marriage certificate and change of name publication. Her passport still having her maiden name affects nothing. Bamz555: Oh well sorry about d confusion. My spouse already did change of name, but the passport she used to apply SP still Carries her old name even tho it still has up to 4yrs validity. But we want to effect d new name on her intl passport, hence the need to do a new one. So my question is that; Can she go ahead to do a new passport that will bear d new names now? And how do we make sure it does not cause any problem wit d application because she applied with d current passport she has. ?? I hope I’m clearer now |

That is usually the question they pick as misrepresentation. Habeebboy: Good day guys. My visa was denied attached is the letter bellow. I don't even know what wrong. I need advise because my school will resume by May and I have paid my first school fee and can I reapply back immediately? |

Please request for your GCMS notes immediately. It will give you a better insight as to why you were refused. JDB55: I included the evidence of the first semester tuition deposit i made, i submitted my CAC cert, tax clearance & past transactions with clients. As for Lump-sum (I don't think there are any), my account is always busy- money goes in and out on a daily basis. |

That may be the issue. Also, what were the supporting documents you submitted to prove her source of income... any lump sums in the account not explained with evidences? MrErudite: I submitted my bank statement of 3.7m, She didn't send any money to my account and I didn't pay school fees because CBU didn't ask for it.

Sorry about your refusal. Did you submit your own bank statement? Did she transfer the funds to your account? Have you paid some of your school fees? MrErudite: I got refusal today and I'm really confused because my sponsor is my mom and we share same surname, I uploaded a gift deeds and the account statement balance is 32m. I really don't understand what they mean by "You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host's income and assets."
Please I need help because since I got this letter my headache increased, I thought I did everything right...
I'm begging you guys to help me |

Hello, I will try to answer from my little knowledge. 1. Any school or VO can accept your transition. Having a strong statement of purpose for both the school and IRCC takes care of that. It needs to be strongly worded and convincing for why you would like to transit. You also need to clearly highlight the career or business prospects post study and why you have decided to take that path. 2. This also speaks to your statement of purpose. I have seen people who decided to do a college diploma even after a BSC and they were granted a study permit because their statement of purpose was convincing enough. 3. I think you should focus on Jan 2024. A lot of schools are already closed for September entry and you also need to give yourself time to apply to various schools and put together your statement of purpose without any pressure. 4. I am not sure about this... an indepth research might give you answers. 5. Do you plan to move with your husband immediately? If not, you can use him, his business, other family members around you, you can get a pet, a letter from your church, join an NGO and get a letter from them, social work etc. All of these can help as home ties. 6. This is a bit confusing, since you said you don't live in Nigeria... buying a land in Nigeria may not be enough. Eniolakate: Can anyone help me please? I beg you. I know my post is long but I just wanted to share all the details so that there won't be a back-and-forth... |

It is not compulsory but I believe it helps provide better and quicker clarity if the reviewer is able to see the list of documents you attached at a glance. SLOVFO: Hello friends, while writing my SOP is it necessary I cite/list the documents I attached with the study permit application? |

Biometrics instruction letter from your portal Biometrics appointment letter from vfs 2 copies of your passport data page Original passport.
Your biometrics has nothing to do with your medicals. Ideally, biometrics should be done immediately after submission long before medical request. However, recently people do upfront medicals to hasten the process. That’s all.

Congratulations!! Drepee: PPR ALERT!
So I’ve gotten my visa approved since January but I decided I’d share my Timeline when I recieve my visa in my passport and I have thanks to God! I’m 21 years old going for a 2 year undergraduate program in business Ontario May intake 2023. Dad is my sponsor. *Upfront medical 09th November 2022 *Applied November 16th 2022 *Medical passed 4th January 2023 after sending 2 web forms. *PPR 20th January 2023 *I didn’t make any upfront tuition fee payment I didn’t apply by my self so I don’t know exactly everything that was submitted but I wrote an SOP of 3 pages(took me a month to write),submitted dads bank statement and properties etc. God is great! And to him be all the glory! looking forward to Canada! Those still waiting for their approval God will surely come through for you in Jesus name amen. |

Goodmorning, just to update everyone that I tracked the status of my visa and it showed as ‘issued’ this morning but was updated yesterday. I submitted Friday 8am. This means it took just about 3 days. Guess the 2 months was just to manage expectations.
All the best to everyone awaiting a decision or searching for an IW date. |
