Blaise96: Please I have a 3 YEARS DIPLOMA IN NURSING from a nursing school in Nigeria.
My people please any recommendations on any college that can consider me for admission in a nursing program. I want a college that is admission friendly that offers nursing programs either for PGC or College Diploma level.
Please help Having a diploma already and going for College diploma in same field, that might be a tricky one to defend. You might get the admission, its how you defend it in your visa application. Check Ontario colleges for such diplomas. You wont be eligible for a PGC in Canada with an OND in Canada. Nursing is a very competitive field in Canada. Do you have working experience? You could also get an alternate health course thats builds up on your current Nursing diploma and experience for a start. Eg mental health, addictions etc that you can defend in your visa application. There are options and pathways to Nursing if you search closely. |

wasd4luv: Hello everyone
Is there a way I can buy dollars at the official rate in the bank to pay my school fees? Yes. Form A. But it depends on the time frame you have to make the payments. Some banks will even tell you its a no no. Some banks take longer than others. Some tell you 3 months, some tell you 8weeks. It varies. I used Stanbic in November to pay my ward’s fees. Less than a month processing. I think the branch you select to use kind of matters also(not too sure shay ) If your timeline is short, then black market is the way to go. |

Timeofgod: . Thanks so much for this prompt respond, please will vo request a letter from organization should I include that I worked there for yrs? Or should I skip that I work as former security personnel? Or do I need to resigned my job to show that I was there but intent to transition? The VO would not request for a letter from the organization. It is the responsibility of the applicant to include documentation that support claims they make in their applications. Skipping your former work experience or resigning your job would be your personal decision. Remember anything you say in application needs to be backed with some form of documentation, stated and explained in your SOP. Projects managers can work in any field eg a project manager can be engaged by a security company to work on a project. Dig into your reasons, explain it well, back it with claims. Career switches happen all the time and project management is a field anyone can delve into if you know what you want. |

DHL says they do not do two way courier again (from Ibadan to Lagos vfs), that vfs will send it back when the passport is ready. Please I need confirmation of how true this is, and if true, is there any payment that needs to be made to vfs? Thank you DHL no longer does 2 way courier service. To return back to you via courier you have to use the courier service of VFS. You can pay for that service and inform them. The details are on their site. |

Timeofgod: Help! Help a sister. Please I need your candid advice, I work with one of the security agencies, graduated 2012, Bsc in psychology. The organization is not approving study leave, and I want to transition to project management. I have diploma in project management and also currently doing internship with a private organisation part-time. My questions 1.With online diploma and internship, is it enough to convince VO? 2. Since the program is 1 yr is it advice able to do ielts and Wes in Nigeria before going? 3. Is it advisable to take a yr project? Please help me, am also open for assistance outside this forum, thank. Hi, Career or academic progression are key considerations that the VO take into cognizance. Your diploma and experience shows you are already invested in project management and can be looked at as a positive. You dont need to do Ielts before going. WES is not needed unless the school asks for it. Nothing wrong with a 1yr program. Most people actually go for it because it is cheaper to show POF while applying for Visa or their course options has only 1yr programs. Most Project management (post graduate ) programs in Canada are 1yr except a few schools that have 2 years option. ( That being said, most people also go for a second 1 yr course after the 1st year in Canada in other to be eligible for 3yrs PGWP. It is called a 1 + 1 =2 strategy). |

Gratitudee: Good morning boss, I just received a message from IRCC to go for my biometrics whereas I submitted the application for my spouse and I. Should I wait for them to send my spouse another message or will my own cover up since im the primary applicant. You can wait a while (24-48 hours) for your spouse request to drop. Biometrics should be given within 30days. But your application wont be actively processed until they receive the biometrics. If you live close to a biometric centre and spouse’s request is being delayed. Then you can proceed for yours. All the best. |

A friend of mine has recently lost his father. He already obtained a visa to Canada to start at Conestoga on January 8. Now, he wishes to defer his start date to September. Is it possible for him to defer, and will his visa still be valid for entry into Canada on the deferred date?" Huge condolences to your friend. It should be valid. The duration of study visas usually include the period of study and extra 4 months. Ensure he has a new LOA from the school showing he deferred handy to show at Port of Entry when he arrives in addition to other POE necessary documents. |

MatrixReloaded: No. They will check and if the funds isn't there you will be refused. Nigeria banking system doesn't just freeze your account when you commit fraud and gets reported by financial crime commission. Same way a bureaucracy whom u gave a SOA will fish out the truth about your SOA. They have Insider in all the commercial bank Firstbank Zenithbank GTbank Access bank UBA Heritage Stanbic Fidelitybank Ecobank Providusbank All the external agents/reps on this banks will receive your SOA in a screenshot on their admin portal, it will only take few mins to detect misrepresentation on your file. So in such case if you present MyBankStatement, the embassy will locate your SOA on there portal which you provided. So its easier for them to double check than wait on there reps to help them. Often times reps make mistakes or reluctantly pin 📌 misrepresentation that's why they give option of clearing your self whilst sending PFL. They only do this scrutiny if you are self sponsor or close relative sponsorship. Regardless keep thr funds until u hear the gold news because even as you present MyBankStatement they can make u-turn and ask you for updated bank statement to be sure the funds isn't recycled. So they can tell you to submit a Bankstatement from the date of your submission to the last day before they sent you the message. E.g(if you submit Dec 1 and remove the money. They might say submit from Oct 1 - Dec 25th. I am quite concerned about some aspects of your response. It is unauthorized and not legal to give a customer’s banking balance or details outside what the client has authorized to a 3rd party. To suggest that IRCC is engaging in this is disturbing. When an applicant submits a MybankStatement (MBS), IRCC has access to only period given in the SOA via the proper channels. It would be worrisome if IRCC bank verification goes against privacy acts of clients and banks. While it is possible to get a request for updated bank statement, it is NOT the norm. Generally, it is advisable to keep the POF intact while waiting for visa decisions as much as possible. Anyways.. if any one has proof of those acts let them share for others to learn. Cheers |

Augrere2022: Only one bank allows Nigerians to apply for GIC with them and that Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC. Minimum is 10,000 CAD and maximum is 20,000 CAD. Make sure you choose Student GIC Program.
And lastly, if you have a USD domiciliary account, note that if you are paying in USD for the GIC, and the USD on your domiciliary account was cash deposits, Nigeria CBN policy won’t allow you to send anything more than 10,000 USD per month which is about 13,000 CAD. Apply application for the GIC, Make sure you when send your money to CIBC, the fund is coming from you own account, they don’t allow third party payment. They don’t accept Naira. Make sure you are responsible for the transfer charges. If you select USD, then your bank should send USD. Do not select USD and then pay CAD. How long did the entire process from opening the CIBC account take? And from when you transferred the funds from your Nigerian account for it to reflect on the CIBC end? |

Because it was an upfront medical. Or my application is abandoned till the test results are out? Other aspects of your applications will continue to go on while they wait for you to conclude the medicals. If your results are okay, your medical will be passed and if your are found eligible for the study permit, you will get an approval. |

You can attempt stating how much you earn on your SOP, hopefully your employment letter carries those details. ijeezlux: Please guys , I need to get some tins clear, is it advisable that the proof of funds should be in my sponsor account or in my personal account?. Cos they is not enough transaction history in my bank account, and my sponsor is insisting that the proof should be in his account It all depends on your personal circumstance. Like age, who is your sponsor, what part of your proof funds do you want in your account? Etc. Even if you have a poor bank history, if the sponsor sends your living exp and misc exp into your account and back it with a gift deed, transfer receipt from sponsor account to yours as well. Then the rest of tuition after one term deposit can is in his or hers ( backed with adequate document to back sources of the funds). But if you poor bank history is as a result of unexplainable inflows and outflows.. thats a red flag too. I dont think there is any hard and fast rule. Do what makes your proof of funds believable. |

allola: Hi everyone,
Please 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I need your advice, my wife has a b.sc. and m.sc. Biochemistry 2018. She's presently working as a health assistant in one of the private hospital in Lagos since 2019. I hope she will be able to convince VO. Some people said it is very difficult for VO to approve or issue visa to anyone going for a nursing from Nigeria.
Is it advisable for her to go for b.sc nursing or start with practical nursing in Canada ?
The bottom line is that surest route to achieve her dream.
I need your contributions, please help somebody. Hi, I think the issue people have is not the nursing course per se.. but convincing the VO why you are going for lesser qualification. Your wife has an MSc, she should consider another health course.. like Health Care Administration for now or Mental Health & Addictions etc.. there are options. When she gets to Canada, she can get a nursing admission and change to that. Most Bsc Nursing will accept you into YR 2 if you meet the AGPA, some schools offer accelerated options( you need to meet some prequisites). People also opt for the Practical Nursing 2yr diploma. Both roles are in -demand jobs. Hope this helps |

Nanorest: Does this flight require transit visa? If you have more than 1 stop in Europe, it would need a transit visa. Your 1st leg is a 1 stop(Frankfurt) then Toronto. The return leg is a 2 stop in Europe. If you have no plans of using the return leg, then you can be fine. I would advise you call the airline. Or just get a 1 stop in Europe ticket. On a study visa, you can use a one way ticket also. |

I didn't submit SOP, CV AND BANK STATEMENT in my previous applications.
To start with, this is my first time of hearing about gift deed. I don't even know how it works. Also all the fundings from the university were noted. The problem is that the reviewer said that I didn't show evidence of t-fare to Canada and also money for initial expenses upon arrival. I have never shown any proof of fund from personal assets.
Please, let's chat via nguyenjohnson115@gmail.com Thanks. Sorry about your refusal. You stand a good chance if you correct all these areas point out. Do it yourself process means you have to pay attention to details very well. If you follow just what you see a check list on IRCC portal, you may not know the need of certain documents. Go through this thread-past pages and page 1 . It will with how to package you next application. |
