Please is there any other difference between Seneca Intl Academy (SIA) and Seneca College besides SIA being dedicated to ONLY International students.

Please anyone who knows should please reply.

Hello Fam, please can anyone recommend health courses for nurses who have BSC Nursing already and already working as a nurse.
Graduated 2020.
1yr or 2yr program.
She has seen the RN bridging programs for Internationally educated nurses but those programs seem to state that the training you will receive is to allow you work in Canada.. wont Visa Officers refuse visa based on this?

Any one got admission into University of Winnipeg or studying there?.
My neice is applying for Public Relations & Strategic Communications Diploma - it is a Post Graduate diploma course under their PACE (Professional, Applied & Continuing Education) programs.

The school is requesting for English test.
Is their a waiver to this as Nigeria is not on their EXEMPT LIST.
OR those who got admission there or schooling their also submitted an english test?

You cant have 2 transits in Europe. If Amsterdam is your first stop you most likely wont need it. ( KLM & Allied flights). But if it is a second stop and you have to disembark from the craft( you would).
All the same, verify from the airline.

Ethiopia airline has dublin as a 2nd stop but you dont disembark( it is just for refuel, hence no transit visit is requested).

We woke up around 3:30am and saw four do not reply messages in our mail.
First time applicant! PPR study visas for my wife and 3 children (8, 6, 4). Below is the time-line. I will post documents submitted soon! I’ve sent their passports to Abuja this afternoon.

Please go to a branch. Approach the customer service staff. It will be processed and you be given the 1 page sheet with the passcode to attach to your visa application.

Covid card was asked for my ward she travelled Nov 17th. Just the card that showed she was vaccinated. Some people here has said they didnt ask them.

Pre covid tests are NOT required any more in Nigeria or Canada.

Please i have a question. my sister got admission and about to apply for visa. She has two kids. both american citizen (by birth though all in Nigeria presently). The last born does not have a Nigerian passport yet but done and she was told it might take some time before she gets the babys Nigerian passport. She is press in time and want to apply ASAP .
Question is can she apply for the study permit with the united state passport for them or what other option is available. though i was also thinking since usa citizen can go into canada for 6mth without visa probably she can just do hers and when she gets to canada and also whe she has gotten their passport she can then apply for student permit for them in canada. Please any guidance will be appreciated.

Kids with American passports don't need visas to enter Canada. They will be given a visitor record at the border. You can apply for student permits when inside of Canada if they are of school age. She can apply for just hers.

There are people we have seen on NL who did same and are in Canada now.

Dear Daffy, you no longer need ArriveCan. Just keep your LOA, proof of payment if any, proof of enrollment if any handy. If not registered for classes yet, they will ask who is sponsoring or MAY ask for SOA.
I know who people travelled recently without ArriveCan.

I’m thinking the purpose of visit could be their main issue.. maybe the time frame and going with the kids affected the home ties and that rolled into the other reasons.

And many more. Do some research on google.

Another option for Nursing is Licensed Practical Nursing - many colleges offer this. Some may ask you to do 1yr Pre Health Science Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees( Eg Fanshawe College, Durham College).

Google is your friend.

No, VOs only have access to what (the period) you submitted in MBS. They work mostly based on the statement you submitted.
They can not even request the bank to tell them your current bank balance. If they want updated info on your statement for any reason, they would request from the applicant (happens very rarely).

You would get an extensive list if you search on Google eg post graduate diploma in ….. bla bla (course) in Canada.
Or colleges in Canada offering … bla bla(mention the name of course)

If he has missed all his start dates and now has visa, he should just reapply, he would be given the next start date of Jan and May. (How did he know Jan & May intakes are full?, unless its not University 1 Program of UofManitoba).
I have someone who missed last intake of this September, got his visa later in September, reapplied and got a new admission for Jan 2023. He is in Canada now.

As per the passport validty, he supposed to have renewed his passport, but if he has not, he would only get an 8 months visa. When he gets into Canada, he should go and renew his passport immediately.
Even though he is supposed to get a 4yr visa, he would get only 8months now.

Please how do I get to know that my passport has been received by Canada visa application center.
I submitted via DHL on the 27th October and DHL tracking says delivered on the 31st October.
I didn't receive any sms/message from the visa application center.
Hope I'm on the right track.

Until VFS emails you and gives you a tracking number you cant track on their end.
Please be patient. A lot of people have complained of delays recently since this security issues was raised in Abuja.

Dear Oluwjuwonlo,
Sorry about the refusal. It is pertinent that you request CBSA/ GCMS notes to know exactly the VO concern despite the volume of funds you showed (we learn CBSA notes are faster, GCMS notes are taking months to be released recently).

Also check if your had
unexplained lumpsum in the accounts submitted?
Was sources of income adequately explained and documented?
Why do you need a sponsor when you have such amount? The VO may be wondering if the money is just for show.
Did you explain the funds in your account?
Are you employed? Or it was a gift deed for studies?

Even if you are going for a 4yr course, most people dont have all the funds when they apply, they explain how the source of funds is stable enough to sustain the studies.

Since you mentioned you didn’t pay any tuition( probably because the school didn't require it, did you mention this in your SOP? ( Before you re apply, pay some tuition( can be from any account, yours or sponsor) and mention its to show commitment even though the school didn't request.

If you have your valid Letter of Admission/Acceptance(LOA) it would suffice. Some schools don’t even give enrollment letter when you have registered for courses unless you request for it.

The enrollment letter is more of a Port of Entry(POE) document, some times they don't even ask. Just your LOA, Tuition receipt if you have paid or who your sponsor who that will be paying.

How long did it take before your passport got stamped and returned? And did you submit directly to Abuja or Lagos?

Sent to Abuja from South South via DHL. It took less than 2 weeks to get the passport back. The stamping process itself took about 2-3days but this was before all the security alert thats causing delays.

My first application was dined in April 25 2022 and My second application was approved on November 3 2022. but My last start date for late registration for class is September 22 2022 on my standardized letter of acceptance , also my passport is expiring on September 4 2023

I was told that I will be ask my new letter of acceptance at the port of entry in Canada but am having the old one which is the one giving to me when I got the admission. Will that be problem when I get there giving them the old letter of acceptance?

Or did I need to reapply for new admission to get new letter of acceptance? Or did I need to mail the school to send me new letter of acceptance. Because I was thinking maybe the school will not give me maybe due to my last date of Registration has expired.

Please am confused I need someone to put me through �

Congratulations on your PPR.
You need a valid letter of acceptance at Port of Entry.
If your school is like U of Manitoba that give multiple start dates and you have missed the last start date, you have to re apply again so you can get a new LOA.

You can also email the school to know if they have a different approaches to issues like this.

No, you don’t. But do confirm from the airline. They know the rules. Just let them know you have only Canadian Visa.

My God, I applied for the transit visa (C1) today by filling the DS160 form. I then checked for available interview dates and it's Nov 2024 upwards . Omo, I don mail their Lagos office to ask if I really need an interview, that my layover is just 2hrs...waiting for their response.

By the way, how do people go about the US transit visa? How long is the processing time? Are there really interviews and is it this complicated to get? Asking here because I couldn't find much info online and on other Nairaland threads.

What you saw online is true. You need an interview. An agent maybe able to get a close date this year but the charge over N200k to N250k plus.

Get a refund for your KLM ticket book another airline.

You cant land in USA for a minute without a US visa.
Infact, KLM wont allow you board that flight from Nigeria.

Go the KLM office and ask directly.

You need a US visa to transit through USA. I don’t know about transit visa, its the usual B1/B2 visitor/tourist visa that people use and dates are not even available for interviews until 2023/2024 unless you pass through an agent who has access.

If you booked a refundable flight, i would advice you seek refund and rebook another airline.

Avoid USA if you don’t have a US visa
Avoid 2 stops in EU (Europe ) you would need a transit visa for this too.

Book flights that only stop in one other country.

Eg Ethiopian airline
Egypt Air
Lufthansa(Check the route some pass through US).
