Good evening everyone.
I just printed MBS and reference letter today and realized my account bears just my surname and first name. My middle name is not included.
My intl passport carries my middle name and its what i have signed in all documents supporting my ward’s application as her sponsor. (All 3 names).
Please do you think this would be an issue to her application? |

Prettiepearlz: Good afternoon everyone. I need help here. I have been in the pool for ages, time to look into other routes. So I studied Human Anatomy however I have been working as a customer service representative in a financial institution for almost 4 years. I initially started with attending to customers at the branch but at the moment I am currently at the contact Centre section of the department though I do supervisory roles, I still attend to customers on all communication channels. Which of the following post graduate diploma courses would be advisable for me to enroll in that would show career progression.
Public relations/Public relations- Corporate communication Business Administration Human Resources Management. Strategic Management Strategic Marketing Communication. Marketing Corporate Account Management. Marketing Management Strategic Relationship Management.
Also, I intend to switch back to health but I read that it is advisable to wait till I land before switching courses. Can I however get the admission for the course I intend to switch to before leaving the country or is it advisable to land before applying?
Cc: Ketima, Lekiboboe
Thank you. Hi Prettiepearlz. I think you have some great options listed out. I particularly think these options below backed with a good explanation of how it will help you career progression as well give you advantages in the market place could fly. Public relations/Public relations- Corporate communication Strategic Marketing Communication. Human Resources Management. As per course change.. changing when you are in Canada is preferable. Do wait for others to weigh in with their contributions. All the best. |

You can also pay from a dorm account or someone with a dorm account or card can make the payment. |

technix: The POF should cover at least a year tuition and living expense.
Put the fee for the total duration. Mention the annual tuition in your LOE and explain how you have covered it.
The POF balance should cover the tuition for a year, but the VO should be convinced that you can pay for subsequent years (e.g. employment status, company income, etc.).
Subtract the first semester fee from the total annual tuition fee. Add the balance to the 1 year living expense (your POF should cover that). Explain this in your LOE too. Once again, you have taken time to respond to my question. Thank you so much. God’s blessings. |

Please can anyone share their input on this? @makano you can help answer this? kweje: Hello House, please
For someone going for a 4year University Bsc program and fees is 18,100 Cad, a year. How much should be shown on POF? I know the rule says 1yr tuition & living expense, but the new portal asks for total duration fees.
So what should be Nigerian bank balance on POF. 4yrs tuition or the IRCC rule of 1year tuition…
Note, 1st semester fees already paid even though the school does not ask for deposit. |

There is a post on how to use Flywire info on Form A on this thread. Read the last 10 pages or so. Or use the search bar. Flywire to Naira rate is black market rate. About N465-485 or so |

1oak: Wheeew !! I have not been here in many months, initially started following this group in 2020, got my first refusal December 2020, reapplied again got another refusal in May 2021. I was refused for purpose of visit, and the other reasons I can’t remember twice. I decided to give it a 3rd shot in July 2021 although I lost interest and someone in this group that I contacted (one of the popular ones that help people write LOE/SOP for a fee) at the time wrote me off after I told them about my case and what I wanted to do, this person killed my morale that there was a high chance I’ll not get the study permit, he refunded me and I went on to do it myself without any agent. That being said I am very grateful to those that were really contributing on this group between 2020 and 2021, most importantly God bless @frankrobbn1, he helped me indirectly by telling me what to add to my LOE after I posted my refusal notes here. Also many thanks to everyone that share their approval and refusal. I’ll like to add that if you’ve been delayed please don’t give up, you can always give it another chance if you wish. Every knowledge about Canada study permit application I know today was gotten from this group…also some people are really vocal here while some people are shy, please if you have any questions feel free to ask there are knowledgeable people here who are happy to help.
It took 9 whole months for PPR to arrive…. I don forget say I get Canada visa application sef . All thanks to God, thanks to the 2020/ early 2021 set of this group. Wow. Congratulations. Never say Never. We rejoice with you. |

Semtu: Please those that have paid tuition using form A lately, I saw some people mentioned that they got debited at almost around the same rates as black market instead of cbn rate.
Is this the same experience for everyone else? Really, how is that possible?. I used Access but I had someone who followed for me with office in charge in Lagos for my Form A to get queued for debit. From what I saw the rate was about N339 to 1CAD or N419 to $1. A friend used Stanbic and was debited in a week. Rate was N336 to 1CAD about two weeks again. The bigger banks has more FX(Forex) requests than their allocation from CBN and this is a primary cause for delays. |

Onethe: Good evening people
If one use my bank statement as SOA, will the code give the VO to check your account regardless of the months you want to present? Speaking from an ex banker perspective, the answer is no. But I also had to ask some current bankers about this last week in case things have changed since I left the system and the answer was also no. They only have access to period you specify on your SOA. If anyone has a contrary view, experience, I stand to be corrected. The GURUs may have something to add also. I be newbie here too |

Kam3: Please guys do I need to submit mybank certificate with my SOA or mybank certificate is enough? Hi, I believe what is needed is the one page MyBankStatement print out that has a ticket number and a password as well as your name and destination embassy. That gives access to the embassy to check your statement and reduce bulky SOA. |

Lotathebaby: Good afternoon, I have a similar case. Student of UNN, eventually became a student of University of Manitoba. Canada gives study visa to anybody, so far as you are qualified. Almost half of my classmates are Nigerian students, so you see that this is a lie. It’s even easier to get a visa on BSc in my opinion, because you don’t have to explain many things. Please, if you are ready, apply for your study permit using the guide you will get from the threads here. Goodluck Hi, did you mention your UNN education as post secondary education on your study visa application? If yes, what documents were required by IRCC? |

Frankrobbn1: In a simple sentence;
Letter of Sponsorship is a letter written by the guarantor financing the applicant stay in Canada. This letter is addressed to the Deputy High Commission of Canada. It explains why the guarantor is delcaring his/her sponsorship, what he/she stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship and the reasonableness of spending so much to ensure that applicant acquires the degree/diploma in Canada.
Affidavit of sponsorship is a legal declaration gotten from the high court/notary public wherein the guarantor takes an oath to bear every financial responsibility of the applicant's expenses including but not limited to tuition, maintenance and flight itinerary. Both documents goes hand in hand and are very crucial for Study visa application.
It will end in praise Amennnnn. Thanks @Frankrobnn1. Duly noted. God bless you sir |
