4 years program. Only a CBSA notes can truly tell. Advise you guys wait for it. Just as you guessed, I also guess the volatile balance caused it(bulk of the 27m happening in the last 1 month inside a 5 months MBS)

Also they seem to also have issues with the said amount not being sufficient hence he doubts if you have enough to cover your flight tickets and miscellaneous
.

Thank you so much. My thoughts too. It was interesting to note the generic refusal didnt say anything any financial assets .. their concern is mostly likely about the volatility of the account.

but I have good grade in English from my neco…, please which other schools that doesn’t require English Proficiency
What course are you going for? It might help narrow down your search.
Most schools do not require it English tests for Nigeria is is waive. Some courses accept C6 not all.
For instance, practical nursing in some schools require B3, some require C4.

Durham college is pretty selective though.

My ward’s friend just got a refusal.
Sponsor is her mum, MBS of about N27m+, no tuition deposit(school didn't request), going for a 4 year course. Submitted June 22nd.
Submitted CAC, pictures , receipts and source of funds for future payments. Also a couple landed assets. Sponsorship letters, affidavits and LOE to explain lump sum on Sponsor’s account which happened months ago. Opening bal N2m plus, Account turnover over N90m, 5months MBS . Most of the N27m happened less than a month before submission( this is guess of the problem).

Inputs are welcome. CBSA note already requested.

Hi Aghogho,

Despite your withdrawal, it is clear the agent put in an application for you and went to initiate a chargeback claim on the application fee, instances such as this, it is very delicate to fashion a response, but I will try to offer some suggestions.
1. Pay the application fee that is being requested with your own card or a trusted person's card.
2. You need to tell them that you requested for assistance for the payment of the application fee when you could not use your card due to Fx restrictions and that the card holder had confirmed to you that payment had been and that the fact the application was transmitted convinced you that the payment was duly paid, but that you have paid the fee now to show that you did not deliberately decide to pay for the application.
3. You can also claim that you did not appoint anyone to act on your behalf, that you only had, an advisory relationship with the person, who was advising you on how to put in your application, that at no point did you appoint anyone to act as your rep.
You can develop this and hope for the best.
Please also wait for other member's pitch. You can also search on the closed thread for some people who had this same issue.
Great inputs.
Thanks for all you do on this thread.

Good morning Everyone

Please, can I apply for Canadian visa this month and get it by August.

My school is resuming on the 9th of September 2023.

I have gathered all necessary documents.

I have been previously denied Visa for USA.
Processing timelines can not be predicted. We have seen 1 week, 2weeks, some few days and then we have also seen 1 month, 6 weeks etc.
Just apply and pray for a fast process while having a back up plan for deferral.

Please declare your previous denial from the US. Don’t hide it.

That date is not far off. Just have plausible reason why you will be resuming 1 week late.

Is it possible you send a mail to your school to inform them of the 1 week lateness and explain your reason. Hopefully they give you a positive feedback and a cover to resume that date. You print the correspondence as further evidence to present to immigration at POE
Hi Zubizareta,
This is to appreciate your support and consistency on the thread. God bless you real GOOD.

I applied to Durham and I just got a mail that my English is low…did u do English test?
If you got this from the school, it means your Neco or Waec grades in English is does not meet their requirement. A letter from school declaring your English Proficiency or Neco scratch Card may not solve it, hence they are requesting for an English test.

Hello guys
Please what does it mean by applying to a school with no PGWP?
It means you can not apply to stay back and work in Canada after your studies at that school. (Which reduces chances at obtaining PR after studies if that is your intention.

Would auxiliary nursing training done in an hospital be considered a Vocational training? Applicant has certificate for it.
Not sure if to answer YES or NO on the question on the portal that says . Have you have any Post Sec Education or Vocational Training?

Using google, it kind of said Licensed Practical Nursing in Canada is a vocation.
Any input please…

Ok have questions the MBS how do one send it to the embassy cause I thought you get it through the bank app if am not mistaken.
When the bank processes your MBS, you will be given a 1 page print out with a ticket number (like a passcode) on it. That is what you attach to your proof of funds documents.
With the ticket number, the embassy can access the statement of account.

In using Flywire to pay tuition deposit,
Does paying using the Naira card work so you pay in NGN currency?
Tried the dollar card yesterday, the payment failed?

What is the best option?

IRCC has its own exchange rate. POF is not calculated at our rates.

I stand to be corrected.

AdesheO:
Hi everyone I am new to this post but came across while researching.

I received a visa denial from IRCC yesterday morning. Application was submitted May 28th and biometrics was given 8th of June and rejection received 13th of June.

The reasons cited were
i) significant family ties in canada (my sister and her husband and kids are permanent residents in canada for 2 years. However the rest of my family is here in Nigeria. I submitted her bank statements and reference letter from work as I will be staying with her. She owns her own home and has a very good income. I will also be going without my husband and 14 months old son which I believe are ties to Nigeria. Including my brothers and parents (my mum has a Canadian TRV)

ii) your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel. (This i couldn’t understand as my bank statement submitted has a closing balance of a little 29 million Naira with school fees for the first session fully paid. My course is a one year course in digital health as I am an healthcare worker. I also submitted by husbands bank statements and reference letters from work for both of us.

I used an IRCC registered agent who is also quite upset at the visa application result and is advising we request a judicial review. I will really appreciate your advice as I am quite confused. I have ordered my GCMS notes as of this morning. But would really appreciate any insights of anyone has experience this and how they overturned it. Thank you.
Sorry about your refusal.
I reckon with most of the suggestions and responses you have been given.

Leave out sister’s SOA n docs.

The account is it yours or hubby’s?. If yours, then your self sponsored, hubby doesn’t have to give you a sponsorship letter, a consent letter saying he is in support of your studies, should suffice.

Include a letter of explanation on your SOA on how saved the funds especially if the savings was amassed in a short time in comparison to your income.
In you SOP, do some adjustments on the proof of funds, study goals and home ties sections

The 1st session tuition was it paid from your account? Show proof of that if possible.

We hear the free CBSA notes come out faster than GCMS notes, you may want to try that.

I wish you the best in your next application.

Please
MyBankStatement is requested specifically for Student Express Stream and what is requested is 12 months

if you don't want to do the express stream then you don't need MyBankStatement at all but it is 12 MONTHS for the express stream
I don’t think this is correct information. MyBankStatement is simply the form of statement sent digitally to the embassy so you don’t need to upload bulky pages of scanned bank statements.

I used it for my ward, a 5 month period. She is Canada since last year.
My niece just used it for a 4 month period.. submitted her application May 25th, did her biometrics June 1st, got her PPR June 12, 2023.

A lot of other people have used it on the platform.

Please applicants with bulky pages of Statement of accounts is advisable you use MBS.

Does Nigerian Student Express still work? people with out 12 months statements or IELTS have been getting PPR in 2-3weeks.

I want to assume the account is not a corperate account because if it is, I believe you should have no issue explaining.

If this is true, I will suggest you do the followings;

1. Let Dad provide an affidavit that they both run the company and the funds go into Mum's account. The account number and name should be stated.

2. Let Mum show some receipts linking and confirming some transactions with the account.

3. Let Dad present company's documents including the registration ones stating his name.

The three points will explain the relationships between Mum, the account, Dad and the company.

This is only my suggestion and comes out of my thinking and should not be taken as a professional advice. This suggestion and all contents I provide on Nairaland may be incorrect, outdated and should not be regarded as professional advice.
Thank you so much for you input.
Yes its a personal account, hence i am off the opinion they both sign the sponsorship letter.
The father doing an affidavit a brilliant. Appreciate.

Hi family,
What would be most ideal to do in this scenario;
Mum is the intending sponsor with a good personal bank balance. Family owns filling stations but company documents showing only dad’s name.
He doesn't want to give his statement. Most property documents are in his name.
Mum runs the stations so funds goes in and out her accounts.
Can both mum n dad co jointly sign a sponsorship letter and affidavit? Saying both sponsor with funds&assets?

Or what would you do to proof funds in a case like this?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by kweje: 10:23am On May 23, 2023
In proofing your source of funds, while using a personal account that has business transactions, besides showing invoices for how monies came into the account, do you also need to show payment receipts of how monies left?

Please your inputs.

Dear Dessymond394,
The visa officer only has access to the period stated in MBS not your entire bank history.

Hi, in a situation where you dad is your sponsor and his using his personal account where business and personal funds go into as part of your POF. He also added a dorm account that covers way 5 times the 2nd term tuition. 1st term fees paid already.

The CAC documents shows 5 shares holders but dad and mum are actual owners and have more than 50% shares.
Is a board resolution needed to state that dad is the active MD and payment and entitled to use funds?

It’s actually dad’s company he just added a brother n friend when registering the company years ago.

Please your inputs.
