shinaxurdick: Pls guys.. is there anyone that has applied and paid through “applyboard” .. i want to confirm if their payment rate if is straight CAD or USD.. please this is urgent. Applyboard charges the application fee of college/universities in Canadian dollars. Before the reduction of Nigerian bank cards to $20, i notice a 100 CAD application fee was about N39k in Naira when i used a Naira master card. Nigerians can’t use that method of payment anymore. |

hesjay: My journey and efforts to study abroad started in 2013 but I would fast forward it to 2015. I tried several times to secure admission but no success until 2018 when I got admission in Seneca college.
First Application study visa submitted on 4 February 2019 through an agent but was refused 4 April 2019. Reason: Purpose of visit Second Application study visa submitted April 18 2019, refused 25 May 2019. Reason: Purpose, Asset and TH. Third Application - Visitor visa through an agent again. Submitted September 24, 2019. Refused 25 October 2019. Reason: No genuine business purpose. Fourth Application through another agent- visit. Submitted 10 December 2019. After 2 months of submission I called for withdrawal due to the fact that the agent was not sincere. I thereafter contacted Mr Frank who used his expertise to get me admission for Master program. Fifth Application study visa submitted 24 August 2020 but was refused 24 September 2020. Reasons: Purpose, Asset, Ties and TH. Sixth Application study visa submitted on 11 September 2021 but refused 27 October 2021. Reasons: Asset and Ties. At this point, I became frustrated and tired. But God just sent Makano to me and everything changed. He first of all calmed me down and encouraged me. He even gave me an instance of an applicant on this forum with similar experience of several refusals. After his consolation, Makano sacrificed and put in his best, with very affordable, I repeat very affordable fee for my Seventh application. Makano requested for my previous GCMS notes and after he studied them, he told me that once I provided him the documents he would request for, my next application would be approved. I just yinmu that what was this one saying, Lol. He also ordered me to pay full one year tuition. In fact en, that Makano is a wizard, I remembered one of my company clients (a diplomat) from one European country offered recommendation letter in addition to my application. Makano demanded for letterhead from the European Embassy if truly the diplomat wanted to assist. Well, his well packaged application was submitted on 11 January 2022 and PPR came 5 May 2022. Congratulations again. Truly you were determined. @makano God bless you and more wisdom |

Riababe: I got an additional medical examination request from IRCC today. I called QLife, they said I needed to do sputum and culture test.
1. Please what is culture test? 2. Does this make IRCC stop reviewing my application even though my eligibility reads "we are reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements..."? 3. Must I wait for about 2 months to get the result of the test? I need your advise good people. Sputum test- samples will be collected over 3 days Culture test- lab work on the sample that last 8 weeks Yes you have to wait for the 2 months No idea on No 2 question but i suspect, it would go on till your med results come in |

Belle110: Hey guys, it’s PPR time, I woke up to it by 7:00am today and I was told to check for an update on my application, lol, I kept breathing hard to the part that says my final application has been approved. Then I started shouting. Funny enough, the first gcms note I’ll ever order is meant to come in by Saturday this week.
Docs submitted at first when I submitted my application:
LOA Uncle letter of financial support His UK bank documents 4 months Passport photograph International passport data page My bank statements 4 months IMM FORMS
Another document sent later and added on through Abuja on 1st of March - Mpower loan document
Other documents sent letter and added by Abuja on 28th of March - Employment letter - IMM 5257b_1 - Letter of explanation
Because I never submitted optional documents, and as the name implies, it was optional, until I saw a post here that says it doesn’t hurt to submit them, I rushed to submit them because it can push your application further.
I needed to add new financial information to the IMM1294 form and correct would accompany you tick boxes on the IMM5646 form. These were updated IMM documents and I wanted it added to my application.
The MP requested for an update on my application from Ircc on the 9th of April and helped to pass the documents across plus proof of enrolment of courses for May.
I submitted documents again through Abuja and it was added on 3rd of May, like 2-3 days ago. - my uncles British passport/ a citizen - Another letter of explanation explaining funds/money/sponsorship - Some chats we had, screenshots - School transcripts and degree certificate - Nysc certificate - My CV - His business card, he owns and Co runs his law firm in the uk - My birth certificate
Application timeline: - submitted January 15 - Biometrics added in January 18 - Upfront medicals and updated to pass on February 22, 2022 - Eligibility review started on ending of march or 1st of April thereabout - On 9th of April, MP confirmed to me that Ircc told the office that Medicals and criminality has passed and eligibility is still in review.
I really appreciate the information I got on the platform, it made me wiser and strategical.
I didn’t submit a lot of docs cause I believe it’s not by submitting a lot, but the genuinity of each doc and the proof it serves.
Special shout out to Teemenzo, Nina, bucky for always answering my questions!!! I can’t wait for your pprs……… guysssss… can’t wait! Huge congratulations. Nice to see a regular moniker celebrate their PPR. |

While I’m studying in U1 can I work (20hrs) as a student U1 is year 1 of 4 year BSC, so you would need to graduate before you can apply for Pgd/Pgc. Which would be at the end of 4years. Yes you work 20 hrs like students are allowed to. |

DuBLINGreenb: How can I confirm/verify my admission. I got undergrad admission to University of Manitoba. An agent did the application and admission process for me. And I’m about to commit huge sums of money so I’d like to confirm the legitimacy of the admission before going forward. 1)Your student ID number should be on the letter. Use it to set up the UMnetID(highlighted on the photo added). If it goes through, then you know you have your student portal as an admitted student where you eventually register for courses. 2) If its University 1(Undergraduate) program, it is usually an unconditional offer, which means tuition deposit is not demanded. You can pay a tuition deposit to strengthen your proof of funds. With Uni of Manitoba, agents cant do much after the admission is given, they have to accept the offer on your behalf to download the Letter of Admission the agent has given to you. You can access a lot of info online. Use this link to read up about Next steps. https://umanitoba.ca/admissions/undergraduate/next-stepsAll the best.

Frankrobbn1: I regret to hear that your study visa was refused, how were you able to establish your ties and personal financial establishment in your last application. Did you include documents like, property documents, proof of source of income from employment/business etc.
The visa officer wants to be reasonably convinced that you possess strong holdings in your home country that is possible to compel your return home after studies. From experience, this is one of the easiest refusal reason if you submit additional information/documents that will demonstrate the fact that you've true intentions of seeking a Canadian study permit.
It will end in praise Hello Mr Frankrobbn1 , with regards to the bolded, could youexplain that? How does submitting additional supporting documents to boost your application lead to a refusal? Are these documents submitted with the application or uploaded after via webforms? Or i read it wrongly. Kindly clarify the house sir |

Pls I got admitted to the university of Regina and the agent my dad that’s contracted to do this from the start asked me what course I want and I said medicine. But when admission came out this is what I saw. The confusion right now is he said I should write SOP but right now I’m confused on what to write SOP on if I’m writing it on Premed or kinesiology and health studies. I finished secondary school last year and I’m 20 yrs old Congratulations on your admission. To study Medicine in Canada, you have to do a 4 year BSc program before medical school. That is what you have been admitted into. You will write your SOP on Pre Med. Kinesiology n Health is the faculty under which your course falls under. To help you with some content for your SOP, please go to the University website, and read up on your course and course contents. It will help you paint a good picture of what you are going for. All the best. |

All response would be appreciated, thanks in advance Congratulations on your admission. If your offer letter needs you to pay a tuition deposit, to secure your admission then that would be the next steps to take otherwise, it would be to submit a student permit application to IRCC. All what you need to achieve that can be found on page1 of this thread. Please do go through so you are acquainted with the documents you need to back up your application. Also reading the first 10 pages would give you more insight on how to package your application yourself if you are not engaging the services of an agent. All the best. |

Please do. I saw this off their website. Check highlighted section. All the best in your decision. BenedictStinson: I guess I'll just write to Applyboard and see if there's any clarification. Connestoga was my first choice but I decided to try Fanshawe as they seemed to be a cheaper two year option. With this there isn't any significant difference in the fees and Connestoga allows a regular laptop for the course unlike Fanshawe which would require me purchasing an Apple laptop. Thanks a lot for your help

If i am correct, fees are paid for coop term also. Best to write Applyboard, they will write Fanshawe about your questions and reply to you. Also, i believe you would have received a welcome email from Fanshawe with contact details and students support staff info included? You could also verify via that angle. BenedictStinson: Yes very grateful for linking me up to them. I have gone through the tution breakdown and it adds up to the 24700 on their website. It seems in the letter they just multiplied semester fees by four ignoring the fact that the fourth semester is supposed to be Co-Op work term |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by kweje: 4:50pm On Apr 21, 2022 |
Nice to know Applyboard came through with Fanshawe admission for you like i mentioned last week. With regards to this tuition difference, please go back to Fanshawe website, don’t just looked at the quoted tuition, click on it to show a drop down of the fees, you will see a breakdown amount that includes some other fees and a final total. I noticed same when my ward got her Fanshawe admission. Do double check the website. It might clear out the worries, if you are not satisfied, wrote a note under your Fanshawe admission on applyboard, stating your concerns, they will look into it and revert to you.
2) I believe the tuition deposit is good to apply for visa with( please read their refund policy before paying full tuition if you decide to do so.
BenedictStinson : Good morning all, just received my offer letter from Fanshawe college for "Mobile Application Development" two year graduate certificate. I applied through Applyboard. My question is this: on their website total tution is listed as 24731cad while on the offer letter it's 34911.24cad it's a Co-op course with 3 semesters and then the final work term. I don't know if they just multiplied the semester fees by four when sending the offer letter. Please I would like to know if anyone here has a similar issue 2) I'm to pay a tution deposit of 9211cad by 19May. Is it possible to just pay the full fees amount (to aid visa chances) or do I have to first pay the deposit before paying full fees? |
