Well, international and national propaganda is real, anyway. In this case i will buy this view if the young man in question is schooling in united states.
If the US want to do that for any reason, there are hundreds of thousands of Nigerians in the US they can use.

So, it is very difficult to sell this side of the story.

Yes! there is an urgent need for CHANGE. First by our leaders, and the people, Let those who are stealing public fund,
steal no more. Then God will indeed heal our land.

For God says---if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK my face, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS,
then will i hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and WILL HEAL THEIR LAND. (2CHRONICLES 7;14)
So calling for prayers alone cannot heal our land if we don't humble ourselves and turn away from our wicked ways.

VP! NOW THAT THE PRESIDENT IS SICK, THE CALL FOR REPENTANCE BEGINS WITH YOU.

and jonathan may not be the vp then.
But It is outrageous that the vp house will cost that much, when majority of Nigerians are finding it difficult the get two square meals a day.

guess who’s here:

Dionysus or Bacchus is thought of as being Greek, but he is a remake of the Egyptian god

Osiris, whose cult extended throughout a large part of the ancient world for thousands of

years. Dionysuss religion was well-developed in Thrace, northeast of Greece, and Phrygia,

which became Galatia, where Attis also later reigned. Although a Dionysus is best

remembered for the rowdy celebrations in his name, which was Latinized as Bacchus, he had

many other functions and contributed several aspects to the Jesus character:

–Dionysus was born of a virgin on December 25 and, as the Holy Child, was placed in a

manger.
–He was a traveling teacher who performed miracles.
–He rode in a triumphal procession on an ***.
–He was a sacred king killed and eaten in an eucharistic ritual for fecundity and

purification.
–Dionysus rose from the dead on March 25.
–He was the God of the Vine, and turned water into wine.
–He was called King of Kings and God of Gods.
–He was considered the Only Begotten Son, Savior, Redeemer, Sin Bearer, Anointed One, and

the Alpha and Omega.
–He was identified with the Ram or Lamb.
–His sacrificial title of Dendrites or Young Man of the Tree intimates he was hung on a

tree or crucified.

In the Egyptian myth, Horus and his once-and-future Father, Osiris, are frequently

interchangeable, as in I and my Father are one. Concerning Osiris, Walker says:

Of all savior-gods worshiped at the beginning of the Christian era, Osiris may have

contributed more details to the evolving Christ figure than any other. Already very old in

Egypt, Osiris was identified with nearly every other Egyptian god and was on the way to

absorbing them all. He had well over 200 divine names. He was called the Lord of Lords,

King of Kings, God of Gods.
He was the Resurrection and the Life, the Good Shepherd, Eternity and Everlastingness, the

god who made men and women to be born again. Budge says, From first to last, Osiris was to

the Egyptians the god-man who suffered, an died, and rose again, and reigned eternally in

heaven.
They believed that they would inherit eternal life, just as he had done . . .
Osiriss coming was announced by Three Wise Men: the three stars Mintaka, Anilam, and

Alnitak in the belt of Orion, which point directly to Osiriss star in the east, Sirius

(Sothis), significator of his birth . . .
Certainly Osiris was a prototypical Messiah, as well as a devoured Host. His flesh was

eaten in the form of communion cakes of wheat, the plant of Truth. . . . The cult of

Osiris contributed a number of ideas and phrases to the Bible. The 23rd Psalm copied an

Egyptian text appealing to Osiris the Good Shepherd to lead the deceased to the green

pastures and still waters of the nefer-nefer land, to restore the soul to the body, and to

give protection in the valley of the shadow of death (the Tuat). The Lords Prayer was

prefigured by an Egyptian hymn to Osiris-Amen beginning, O Amen, O Amen, who are in

heaven. Amen was also invoked at the end of every prayer.

As Col. James Chruchward naively exclaims, The teachings of Osiris and Jesus are

wonderfully alike. Many passages are identically the same, word for word.

Osiris was also the god of the vine and a great travelling teacher who civilized the

world. He was the ruler and judge of the dead. In his passion, Osiris was plotted against

and killed by Set and the 72. Like that of Jesus, Osiriss resurrection served to provide

hope to all that they may do likewise and become eternal.

Osiriss son or renewed incarnation, Horus, shares the following in common with Jesus:

–Horus was born of the virgin Isis-Merion December 25 in a cave/manger with his birth

being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.
–His earthly father was named Seb (Joseph).
–He was of royal descent.
–At at 12, he was a child teacher in the Temple, and at 30, he was baptized having

disappeared for 18 years.
–Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus or Iarutana (Jordan) by Anup the Baptizer (John

the Baptist), who was decapitated.
–He had 12 desciples, two of who were his witnesses and were named Anup and Aan (the two

Johns).
–He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus (El-Osiris), from the dead.
–Horus walked on water.
–His personal epithet was Iusa, the ever-becoming son of Ptah, the Father. He was thus

called Holy Child.
–He delivered a Sermon on the Mount and his followers recounted the Sayings of Iusa.
–Horus was transfigured on the Mount.
–He was crucified between two thieves, buried for three days in a tomb, and resurrected.
–He was also the Way, the Truth, the Light, Messiah, Gods Anointed Son, the Son of Man,

the Good Shepherd, the Lamb of God, the Word made flesh, the Word of Truth, etc.
–He was the Fisher and was associated with the Fish (Ichthys), Lamb and Lion.
–He came to fulfill the Law.
–Horus was called the KRST, or Anointed One.
–Like Jesus, Horus was supposed to reign one thousand years.

Furthermore, inscribed about 3,500 years ago [1500 years before Jesus alleged advent] on

the walls of the Temple at Luxor were images of the Annunciation, Immaculate Conception,

Birth and Adoration of Horus, with Thoth announcing to the Virgin Isis that she will

conceive Horus; with Kneph the Holy Ghost, impregnating the virgin; and with the infant

being attended bh three kings, or magi, bearing gifts. In addition, in the catacombs at

Rome are pictures of the baby Horus being held by the virgin mother Isisthe original

Madonna and child

MEANING THAT THE ANCIENT WORSHIPPERS OF HORUS, DIONYSUS, OSIRIS HAS BEEN CELEBRATING THE BIRTH AND DEATH OF THESE gods BEFORE
CHRISTIANITY WAS MADE A STATE RELIGION IN ROME. TODAY, THE TRUTH IS THAT THE BIBLE NEVER MENTIONED ANY OF THESE CELEBRATIONS
THAT IS; CHRISTMAS AND EASTHER .

NOW MY QUESTION IS SHOULD PROTESTANT CHURCHES,(CHRISTIAN CHURCHES THAT ARE NOT CHATOLIC CHURCH) BE PART OF THESE CELEBRATIONS?

Politics / Re: Akwa Ibom Set To Ban Okada Riders!. by kwekwe: 12:26pm On Dec 24, 2009
In Nigeria, most laws are made by the privileged class against the interest of the less privileged. The flimsy excuses most State Govts. are giving for banning Okada
has been that criminals are using it to commit crime. Indeed this reason can be classified as lack of security solutions to rising crime rates in the country.

Lets be fair, if these state Govts are banning Okada for becoming a security risk as they have mentioned, and not to undermined the interest of the less pr eviledged, they should ban jeeps, let them ban cars as well because criminals are using them to
commit crimes as well. statistics has shown that 97% if not 100% of all the kidnapping cases are commited with cars, mostly jeeps.

In Abia state for instance, the Govt. banned the use of motor- cycles not only for commercial use alone but for private use as well, meaning that people who cannot afford cars and settled for motor-cycles should go to hell. It is very unfortunate that these policies are coming in this 21 century when countries like China are encouraging the use of bicycles and motor- cycles to reduce traffic jams from their roads
congestion. The solution i feel should be, that state Govts should regulate the use of
okada as a means of transportation, construct more roads and as well make the existing ones motorable, if not because of traffic jams ,poor state of most roads, most people will not patronise Okada.

Let the various state Govts. and The Nigerian police and other law enforcement agencies wake-up to the challenges and the rising rate of crimes
mostly created by unemployment. If not, they should ban not only okada, but everything criminals are using, including,

HOTELS, because criminals do take off from there, for their operations.

Let them ban Clothes too, because criminals don't go to operations unclothed.

Let them ban Ice cream, chicken, salad, fruits, Amala, fufu, garri, vegetable soups etc abi criminals no dey eat them?

@manny4life, you really don't know anything do you? And arrogant too? Good thing you're in the US; you'll continue to see the collapse first hand as it unfolds, and you

@Ezan,
Maybe unknown to you, Nigerian Economy is dependent on United States economy.
If US economy goes down, Nigerian economy will go flat on the ground. Why?
Because Nigerian economy depends on oil and US our major buyers. most other developed countries don't buy from us.
Besides the greater part of the world economy depends on united states economy, have you asked why the econmic recess that started in US spread so fast
to other parts of the world?

So when somebody tells you the truth, take it in good fate as it does not call for arguments that doe's not hold water.
The truth has been said, that Nigeria is not as relevant as it use to be in the comity of nations. It is only an ignorant person that will argue with this simple
truth.
All we need to do is to go back to the drawing board for a way forward.
Politics / Re: Nigeria’s Losing Its Importance In The World, US Envoys Warn by kwekwe: 2:03pm On Dec 20, 2009
Majority of our people like our so called leaders hate the truth and those who tell them the truth.
One of the problems facing Nigeria as a nation is that 90% of the populace don't even care how they are governed.
For only N200 they will kill for a politician and go naked for a governor that looted the resources that can develop a country like Togo,Chad and Niger
combined together.

The three American ambassadors are telling us that we are going down Economically and now a laughing stock in the community of Nations.
worthy of note is that among those speaking are fellow blacks who want to identify with us as the most populous black nation they can be proud of
based on our prospect and numerous material and human resources. But to their greatest surprise we have turned out to be a great disappointment.
The warning is coming from people who are interested in the affairs and the all round growth of this Nation and not from praise-singers.

The people speaking can estimate how much our leaders are staking away in foreign banks all over the world. They know how much Nigerians pay each
year as visa fees and visa application fees in their bid to visit US and UK which may be close to the annual budget of four West African countries combined.

Now tell me, South African has taken our position as a member of G20 and that didn't bother our Leaders. Economically Socially, politically and otherwise we are been overtaken by Ghana, yet our Leaders don't care.
Let us wait and see. Soon and very soon Ghana will start mining oil in commercially quantity and the American attention will completely shift toGhana then we
shall see how much patrol-dollar we begin to lose.

I am surprised that some people here are talking about war. American is not invading Nigeria for any reason rather those who don't care how they are governed we then care when hunger begins to bit. Then we will fight each other and American will be compassionately moved to bring relief materials.
America is shouting now because they knowthat the refugee problem here because of our population will consume part of their tax payer's money.

So the speech made by the three American Ambassadors are wake-up call, First to the LEADERS, then to the PEOPLE.

Religion / Re: Born Again Christian Women Wearing Make-up, Is It Biblical? by kwekwe: 9:00am On Dec 15, 2009
The message should be moderation in that which is good and abstainance from that which is bad.
For instance you can't preach moderation in tobaco, hard drugs, alcoholic beverages, etc because from little you get addicted,
the moment you are addicted, it may be very difficult to pull-out.
Can we say that a lady can't look good and clean without makeup? that indeed may amount to falsehood.

From my last post in page two, in the ocult world, they use makeup to achieve a purpose, the question should be, of what purpose is makeup to a christian
lady if not to add colour to what GOD has made colourful and decleared '' GOOD'' or ignorantly emulating those who are doing it to achieve a purpose.
Remember, the Bible in strong terms condems wordly emulation.
Religion / Re: Born Again Christian Women Wearing Make-up, Is It Biblical? by kwekwe: 1:17am On Dec 14, 2009
Personally i feel that make-up both facial or nail colouring is one trying to recreate herself or himself. If we appreciate the way God created us,
we won't go the extra mile of adding colours to a wonderfully and fearfully made body. The most impotant thing is for us to clean up our bodies.

judging from the bible, Jezebeel the woman the introduced the worship of baal in northern Israel was identified with make-ups. That alone should discourage kingdom seeking-christians from the use of make-ups anyway.

Besides, it is good for us to trace the origine of any fashion. Make-ups for instance use to be an ancient ocult practice and may not have had any christian
background.
Donald Tyson a known ocult writer who wrote RITUAL MAGIC and many other ocult books, in one of his books tittled SCRYING FOR BEGINNERS, Page 169-170
said, i quote

,,IT WAS COMMON FOR EGYPTIAN SCRYERS TO PAINT THEIR EYES WITH MAGICALLY POTENT COLORS AND HERBAL SUBSTANCES
INTENDED TO ENCOURAGE SECOND SIGHT. GREEN AND BLUE COLORS ARE APPROPRIATE. THIS EYE MAKEUP SHOULD BE VERY BOLD,
WOMEN MAY BE MORE INCLINED TO USE THIS EYE PAINTING TECHNIQUE THAN MEN, WHO , IF THEY PREFER, CAN MERELY WIPE A LITTLE OF THE
JUICE OF MUGWORT OR SOME OTHER VISIONARY HERB OVER THIER EYELIDS, '',

So the quotation above shows that there is a purpose for makeup in the ocult world, hence there is none in the christian world.
Christian ladies , please remember that you are wonderfully and fearfully made, so trying to recreate yourselves through makeups, may be to deny this fact.
