These are career politicians. During the last election, most of them were either with Tinubu or Atiku, they weren't with the man you call liar. If we have sense in this country, we should have run away from wherever these hawks gather. If they face East, we should face west but we don't have sense naa. You see these hawks gather round him singing 'On your mandate we shall stand' you also joined them with your empty stomach. Now that they are in power, you think they care about the masses? bobobenz: SOURCE :https://businessday.ng/news/article/after-ending-petrol-subsidy-fg-budgets-n5bn-for-presidential-yacht/ |

I agree with you, FG has been irresponsible but again the regional leaders themselves have done nothing to help. successmatters: Don't even bring innoson into the conversation, innoson is doing very well, FG is patronising him as is supposed, because he's a pioneer local car manufacturer. Private individuals and state governments are also buying a lot of his products so don't go there.
We have resources and we have good brains to produce good products as we are doing in Aba and many parts of the region now. But FG must play a part, they have refused to fix any federal highway in the east, from Onitsha to Abakaliki can take a whole day because of bad roads. Fg should do more that buying a few innoson vehicles to boast that they are saving the Igbo race, what we need is infrastructure, and its non existent from the federal level. |

Lol, No one can hold whoever is determined to rise. I will give you an idea of where I am going to. Innosson motors, biggest customer is the FG. Your leaders in the SE choose toyota brand over supporting their own. If that guy was a northerner, by now he would have expanded into making keke Marwa because all the northern states will patronize him and even work out loans for him. You have palm oil, you have coal, you have highly talented people who can create something out of nothing, why has that region not developed? The answer is simple, your regional leaders (governors and co) are evil. Yes the FG may be killing ideas but what have your own leaders done to address the issues? They seat there, collect allocation, feed fat on the populace and tell you that is the Fulani man that is doing you The earlier you start holding them for accountability, the better for you. successmatters: This will never work in Nigeria because when the minister of aviation hears that palm oil is mostly found in the south east, they will kill the idea. We will wait till we find aviation fuel made from bitumen first
NB
For those of you quiting me to lament their lives, what happened to coal, what happened to Onitsha river port that would have eased the cost of moving goods to the north through Onne?
Damn, what happened to railways in the east and the whole south south? Nigeria government was structured to work against every Igbo interest since 1966.
No apologies about what I said. |

Realistically and in all honesty do you believe a dead man can rise again? GanagiBeetrus: In recent times, prices of Goods and Services have been going up almost on daily basis, especially after the onset of Tinubu's administration and subsequent removal of Fuel Subsidy.
My phone I bought last July, I was shocked to discover the current price has increased by over 100k, in just a space of 3months.
Mr President has assured Nigerians that things will soon get better. Even a notable Man of God prophesied that Naira will soon become stronger than Dollar.
Realistically and in all honesty, do you believe that prices of Goods and Services will return back to at least how it was before Tinubu's regime? |

While I agree he is flooding the whole place with his ethnic group, I do not believe that is the reason for your misfortunes. Truth is, if you make your tribesman a president today, your life will not improve. Know this and know peace. You have your tribesmen in the senate who have not for once rejected the humongous pay they receive, you have governors who have not in anyway worked to improve your region Buhari dey there, you cried Fulanization, Tinubu don come you are crying Yorubanization. I think you should start the crying with your senator who wants to ride 160million naira jeep, or your state governors who receive huge security votes money. Those ones are closer to you than the man in Abuja naa Billionairly: Wow the Yorubanization agenda continues...Extreme tribalism These ronu people are and have always been the problem of this country. It's comment like this that scares me. Yahoo has been normalized because they told you Tinubu is a criminal or because things are hard. Nigeria will not be the first country with tough economic conditions infact our parent went through worse during Abacha's regime and yet they didn't go into yahoo. if you keep justifying this evil, someday yahoo will not make them much money again, and then they will start entering your house. By then it will be too late to cry. Something must be done, and the redemption we need cannot come from normal democracy. What we need is an Hitler who will suspend all human rights, put strong decrees in place, if you are caught stealing or defrauding people, they hang you either you are a politician or yahoo boy. I agree with you. Adolfnigeria: @ Ladech since 1960 your money has been devaluing, don't blame the symptom blame the root cause. BLAME your government for the mismanagement.
Government that illegally prints money via ways & means. Too many naira chasing too few dollars. This is the problem - blame your government not the problems.
Me I applied for FX for travel, and no hope of getting it.
Where else to go, except the black market?
The black market is the only exchange we have in Nigeria. I$E etc are just scams. |
Business › Re: FG Outlaws Black Market FOREX Transactions by Ladech(m): 11:17pm On Oct 24, 2023 |
Make una dey calm down. It is not the ordinary Nigerian you see on the street or on twitter that hoards dollars. It is the political elite including your Asiwaju kitchen cabinet and household. Taiwo & his team have done a good job but wait for execution before jumping for joy. FreeStuffsNG: 13. Expand the official foreign exchange market to incorporate BDCs, forex apps and retail fx dealers, and outlaw transactions in the black market
14. Digitalise Nigeria’s fx regime and discourage speculative demands and hoarding of fx in cash
15. Imposition of excise tax on foreign exchange transactions outside the official market
Great job by Taiwo Oyedele and his team of patriotic Nigerians. These are bold audacious moves by the Asiwaju Tinubu-led Federal Government. This is absolutely brilliant!
Only unpatriotic and greedy people will go buy fx to hoard and they deserve not only to lose their funds but must be prosecuted for economic sabotage as well.
This current FG will not go borrowing money or use hard-earned forex inflow to fight against the overvalued US dollar on the streets. You all will get burnt las las.
Those being deceived to keep hoarding forex will get burnt severely las las.
It's criminal and unpatriotic mindset that will make an otherwise educated person who spends almost 100% of his day to day expenses in naira to still go and hoard forex and crowd out those who genuinely need it. If they don't get burnt, no defence of the naira will deter such unpatriotic elements. Not even EFCC that Mr Emefiele kept sending after them will make them stop. |

It doesn't matter where the money goes to. What matters is that in 4 years time, they will be remembered and people's confidence in LP will increase. Possibly more LP senators, house of rep, LG chairman. If you must take over, you have to match action with words. As it is now, LP lawmakers are not different from the APC in anyway. Christianity Etc › Re: My Pastor Rejected Anniversary Money Because It's Too Small by Ladech(m): 10:41am On Oct 23, 2023 |
Lol The earlier you understand that church in Nigeria is mostly a 'one man' business, the easier it is to break free. Outside the Catholics & a few other Pentecostals like Foursquare where they do not have one GO, everyother church is a one man business. When the GO dies, his wife or children take over. There is nothing wrong in helping others build their dream but don't break yourself in the process. Donkogbe: Something happened in my church yesterday and its so strange to me.
Yesterday was the youth anniversary so the youth president has been soliciting for funds and yes people complied and myself also. it was time for thanksgiving and all youth danced to the altar then the pastor openly reject the money contributed by the youth to the amount of 50k in the sense that its too small and also making reference to 2years ago when the youth as at that time bought the church drum set to the amount of 250k. he rejected the money and prayed for us.
This is has been disturbing my mind since yesterday and i am just wondering how a pastor will openly reject amount contributed by people.
note this is not mandatory donations and a man of God reject 50k in this economy of Tinubu? i am just having a mix feelings and its disturbing. what your view on this

You don't justify greed with greed. How do you justify doing things because everybody does? can't they use a cheaper vehicle? They will ride 150million car and in 4 years, they will come back to tell you they are different from APC abi? I see why this country will go no where. OneCandleAway: That's a very dumb move.
When Maria of afikpo chic didn't want the car umahi gave especially being the single person from a new party, she gave the car to her community. That's a better way because the funds for tge car will not be sent back to tge federation account. So they should take the car since everyone is taking. |
Politics › Re: LP Lawmakers Shun Abure, Set To Collect Suvs by Ladech(m): 3:58pm On Oct 20, 2023 |
Lol, keep deceiving yourself. When everybody is stealing, they should also steal abi? How on earth will they accept to ride in a jeep worth more than a 100million naira in a country where people can hardly feed? If LP is what it claims to be, they should reject it on moral grounds but we know that won't happen. Ole ni everybody OneCandleAway: Everyone is taking so they should also take. Its dumb if they don't take.
Important thing is deliver to your people. We saw one LP house of reps man help his community just 3 weeks after resumption. That's the kind of news we want to hear. Make your constituency feel your impact, change their lives especially in important projects that will benefit them. |

The only one that deserves that role is Nuhu Ribadu, the pioneer chairman. I don't know if he was corrupt or not but he carried himself well as an anti-corruption crusader. I don't understand how the others made it to that office, some of them are brazenly corrupt. olakraft: Recently there's been a minor social media outrage since the news of President Tinubu appointing Ola Olukoyede as EFCC chairman broke out, especially since he is from the southwestern part of Nigeria where the president is also from. A lot of people have made accusations of tribalism against the president and claimed he appoints Yoruba people simply because they are from the same ethnic group, but how enlightened are we really?
Now, for those who don't know the history of the EFCC, it was established in 2002 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and began operation in 2003 and for the past two decades of its existence, the EFCC has ONLY had Northerners as Chairmen.
Similarly, FCT (ABUJA) had never had a minister from the southern part of Nigeria, but Tinubu ensured that Nyesom Wike (former Rivers Governor) was given that position.
Below is a list of the heads of EFCC since 2003 till date: You be the judge! and ask yourself if nobody in the south has ever been qualified for headship of the EFCC. |
