Yes you can if you can afford it.
You have to proof that you meet all requirments to be granted

I have uploaded all documents as at now. Whenever I click submit button on tls site, it kept on giving me an error message " an error occurred during the submission".
I used another device that is phone and another laptop but giving me same error message. Please what else should I do? What could be the reason? Is there any time frame or maximum time we can self upload on tls portal?

Check and be sure that all categories is selected for every uploaded documents. I think I had similar error then i checked and noticed that I did'nt select the category for a particular upload.

Try using your computer to complete this step and not your phone as it may be hiding some items on the platform

Yes My parents just got their 10yrs visa today, Submitted & Payment confirmation Nov 18th, Biometrics/Application transferred to UKVI & Trf to DMC sameday Nov 21, No other email or tracking update till 3pm Dec 6th that they sent Travel Document Ready for Collection email and the track move from Trf to DMC to Pport ready for collection same Dec 6th. first thing Dec 7th morning my Dad went for the collection.

Can you confirm that a bank could write such a letter ? My mom called her agency and they claimed that the highest proof is the bank statement with the stamp (which have been provided). Moreover, they don't usually do such letters.
We will still try again with them.
Do you have any idea of the fees for such lawyer and procedure ?

They can get Reference letter from the bank, this will specify the details of the accounts and Some might also start the clsoing balance as at.

I and my sister in the uk who is graduating is sponsoring. She transfered N1m from her business account to my dad's account few days to the application; which we attached a receipt of the transfer and stated in our letter of sponsorship that we did that to show that they have access to funds even though all their travel expenses are being taken care of by us (all children are adults and are all willinging to sponsor)
My mum also claimed no source of income as she has always been a full house wife.
We made our dad get his bank statement and as well as reference letter from his bank.
My Parents UK visas last one being 2019, USA visas last one being 2019, Canada visas which they never used anyone of them despite several renewals; all my mum's visa expired, only my dad's visa is expiring next year april same time his Int pport is expiring
I provided my USA bank account statment as well as Confirmation of deposits in my account
My sister provided her British bank statement, Her Nigerian dormicilliary USD, GBP and EURO account statment along with reference letter from the bank which stated all 3 domicilliary accounts in the letter
My sister's investment Letter and statement of Account from Nigeria
Invitation letter from their UK host (who has always invited them for all their trips They both have 6mth and 2 yrs visas in the passed last visa expired 2019) for 1month stay, Host ID and his statement ( he submitted this just for proof of Address)
My sister graduation IV taking place next week
2 Days accomodation (6Man Dorm ) @booking.com at my sister's location
My Age declaration I did years ago( this has my pphoto and that of my mum's)
1 familiy photo, 1 photo of my sister with my parents taken on her Unilag Grad day (these are only document we submited for her link of relationship as her birth certificate is those ones that dont have parents name on it. It just stated the hospital name, her name (written in pencil) weight, date and time of birth,

Please my cousins Visa was refused because she used non genuine bank statement and she has received here refusal mail. My question now is

1. When is it likely for them to call her to pick up her passport
2. She received the refusal mail since Friday and she is yet to receive mail for her to pick her passport from VAC
3. Are they going to withhold her passport
4. Also the school said they won’t refund because of the refusal reason.. is this contestable.

PS: She is devastated already and she knows she did wrong by submitting fake bank statement. Way forward is what she needs. Thanks as you are kind with your responses

First make sure she disclose her UK refusal if you is applying to any of these countries as they share database :
i. AUSTRALIA and IRELAND, these 2 authomatically run all application with UK database pls dont mess with them
ii. Schenge they randomly do, pray luck is not against you.
iii. USa and Canada, where they doubt your application. Regardless I will advise you alway declare your Uk ban and explain that you were a victim of agent.

Secondly, did you pay your school fees to the agent who claimed to have paid the school fee? be sure the agent is not trying to play a fast on on you using the refusal reason as excuse.

I know some years ago in the past UK do witheld passport if you falsify document in visa application and they will not return your passport back but I dont know what they do now.

This is a very unfortuate situation and I feel very sorry for you. 10 years is a very long period considering the current travel situation in Nigeria.

She still have hope with other country like Japan, South Africa, Turkey. She can take up English teaching job in Japan and apply (Pls dont ask me how she can go about it, pls do your research, utilise the internet, reach out to the sources dirent and afford agent, alot of these things can be done yourself)

I say reduce the visit to one week, what the heck are you going to be explaining you are doing in the UK for 3 weeks?

Go and find casual leave letter of only one week on the expected dates you will intend to travel( it shouldn't pass one week oh!)

I asked you for you monthly disposable income you are quoting annual salary. You need to demonstrate that you are not just saving money but that you are spending from inside. Be it to transfer to another bank and reshuffle back into your account through salary is no one's business. Your expected expenses you intend to tell them you will waste on this trip yourself should not pass 3 times your disposable income. If not another refusal.

Avoid anything that will complicate the application or raise eyebrows.
You straight up just need to present a company you work in with monthly payment on a designated official day stated in your employment letter.

If she is sponsoring you, is it flight and accomodation for one week or is it the whole package.

I wonder why this guy is giving the ECO further reason to refuse him again, Why cant he just take simple advise? beside why is the sister sponsoring a full blown adult who is expected to be working? and one of the main reason the ECO is looking for is Economic ties they wants to know that you are financially capable to take care of yourself not relying on someone elso to take care of your bills/expenses as an adult.

If you state that your sister is inviting you and you will be staying at her place, that makes more sense not that she is part sponsoring you, this will give you more buffer being that cost of accomodation is out hence you dont have to incure more travel exxpenses and the ECO will not have to calculate your expenses against your supposed income and what you should have as savings. You want to show that even if you make the trip, its not going to affer your savings; (i.e every expenses you may incur during your trip will be just like a pinch of salt from your savings)

With the way you are going, you are creating an impression to the ECO that if given the charce, you may not come back since you cant prove you can stand on yourown without the help of your sister. Saying you want to stay more that 2 weeks for someone who claims he is gaining employed is also questionable. Why do you want to leave your job for that long?

you should have simply abandoned that application and complete a fresh one and submit and book another appointment with the fresh one

There had to be a reason for the rejection given. No such thing as normal, casual reasons.

the reasons are stated using codes. the so called generic reason are usually based on 214 I guess which is based on the consular not convinced you are guinenely seeking visa for the purpose which you state also, but no limited to home ties, financial ties, economic ties etc.

there is also a code for temporary ban, life ban, inadmissible, terrorist alert etc. once you state the code you have on your refusal notice, they know the refusal reason

Well there was no reason then as at 2018 . Just normal casual reasons that they tell everyone. It’s not really specified.

there is a code stated on the refusal letter just state that code as the reason for refusal. e.g "refused based on 214"

I'm asking because someone booked an interview date earlier and got 2024 interview date and the person is trying to reschedule for an earlier date and a request is showing on the dashboard now sent to the embassy to grant an early date.

A colleague of mine has a drop box appointment scheduled for June 2023. However, she got a "do not reply" mail from the US consulate few days ago that the appointment has been brought forward to March 2023.

A link was provided for her to follow to see details of the new appointment date but it fails to open on each attempt. Does anyone have an idea of what this is about or has a similar experience.

No. you have to pay the visa fees first, start the ds 160 form (you dont necessarilyhave to submit the form yet but make sure you save the application and log back into it within 25days hence you will loose it), once you have an application num, you will then create an appointment profile where you will need your payment receipt number and ds 160 reference number to be able to book appointment. Then you can always edit your form till you submit it. once it's submitted, you cannot edit it

Just go to CAC and pay your annual income for the years you have not paid

the petition won’t be revoked if the applicant was already in the us at the time of the death of the petitioner, if the applicant wasn’t in us the only route Is humanitarian reinstatement. Thank you all the same, everything would work out fine hopefully

The applicant in question is still in Nig, they recent got update on the filing for the DNA, the mum died in Nig and as at when she died 5 yrs ago she was just a green card holder, the other 2 children who filed for are now usa citizens

After my mum who was our petitioner passed away, our immigrant petition is meant to be automatically revoked (so it’s already revoked I guess), though we plan on reactivating it with “humanitarian reinstatement” which is a route used when a petitioner passes on. And we don’t plan on ever mentioning about our immigrant petition during the interview unless we’re asked.
I’m certain I’m coming back because I have just a year left in school, would’ve been finishing my finals early next year if not for strike, so I can’t abandon all my years in school.
Yes we just got the death certificate and memo for the funeral plans the day before yesterday and immediately applied for an emergency appointment, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a new date.
Yes I know about the expensive funeral costs, my Dad was buried in the US few years ago too.
my aunty paid the funeral home $4000 to keep my mum for 3 months, my aunt who is our sponsor is also wealthy with a good job.

No its not revoked and dont you try to revoke it. It is still running and you can still be approved all you need is an immgration lawyer who will follow it through. I know someone whose mum filed for her and the mum is late died like 5yrs ago, her application is still on, recently uscis requested for DNA good thing she have the eldest sibling who orginally was the one who filed for their mum and their mum in return had filed for 2 them who are already living in usa, then herself whose application is still in process. so pls dont revoke it

I applied for a visit visa for my mum to visit me and her grandchildren. However, I didn't include her statement of account as I felt that it wasn't necessary since I was sponsoring the whole trip. Unfortunately, her visa was denied which really saddened me as we had planned towards her coming.

Kindly supporting me with how to rectify their concerns in the next application I will be making. How soon can I apply again? How many months bank statement should I provide? Please note that a large sum of money has just been sent by my sister into her account to help her with form A for her school fees payment. she is below 55 years of age and I send her stipends every month as she does petty trading.

The Red Flags:

She is 55years old - meaning she is actively independent and you even proved this by saying she is a petty trader and you stated her annual income hence you should have included an evidence of this even if the amount she makes is small; it doesn't matter since you are sponsoring the trip. In my past application for my parents I stated that they are retired and do not earn income that they solely depends on their children still i included my dad's bank statement.

Lenght of trip - 3momths, moreover she is going with her grandchildren : this is too long for an initial application, you should have stated at most 1 month or better still 3weeks and once she gets her visa she can stay the 3 months provided she did'nt over stay her visit

You can reapply and address the issues raise. Include evidence of her business like trade certificate, Town council payment permits/receipt, Her bank statement and off course you need to explain any loop or contrary transactions on the account backed with evidence. For example during my parents application, my brother pay #400k into my dad's acct, he wrote a letter explaining the source of the funds and why he made such deposit (travel cash gift) and we backed it up with the payment receipt; it was a transfer so we went into the bank and asked for a receipt of that particular transfer and it was also stamped by the bank.
