Like the saying remains..."The Bitter Truth Will Always Hurt"...and that is why you'll always see those people who can't handle the bitter truth result into attacks and insults because they are so low and ashamed of themselves.

Hello.
I'm quoting you. Cos I no get energy to go back to quote Twoods and cos what I'm about to say refers to both of your posts.
Yes. The young man's grammar left much to be desired. But then does it make him a liar?
Seriously, everyone is entitled to their opinions. But when those opinons lack any foundation it veers toward cyber bullying and a superiority complex.

How do you know the conference is fake? Can an Aba trader in aria aria marker or business man in Alaba not decide to go on a conference? Do you deserve a visa more than he because you have a fair grasp of the English language? That's just elitist.

In law, one is presumed innocent. If there is nothing to show the guy isn't legit, then I humbly humbly advice you not to join the bandwagon of spewing nasty stuff to folks just because you have a phone, mb and can speak grammar. Whey done sir and Ma'am for all the fine work your teachers did.

I want you and Twoods the wonderful English master to consider for a second....just a second. If the op is legit, would you ever have a chance to apologize... ?And then if it was you, how would you feel?

Stating the obvious truth is great. Assuming every one is a liar however may because reflection of one's personality. I have supported Twood's opinion, when it was based on a verity but just see this as a clear example of bullying.
Finally, with regards to the bolded. What is an insult and whose post was insulting? Asking the basis of a post is logic. On the other hand, jumping to judgement with limited facts, that in my opinion is insulting not just to the poster sef but to other readers.

This is a thread for visa seekers, I have a visa. So which truth can I possibly not handle that I would have to resort to insulting anyone?

Good morning to both of you and have a fabulous day.
Absolutely pointless

Nwanna, am just loving you per seconds walahi!

Hello house,

Please Wot is the possibility of my sister's visit visa been approved, most of the people who submitted their application that I know of were denied.

Really?

I thinks your sister would have been able to get more guide if this question was asked before the application

Applications are treated on a case by case basis. we can not tell here the possibility of your sister getting her visa only the VO can.

However, if the application is well presented with all relevant documents am sure she should be able to get it.

When did she apply? vis paper or online? what are the documents submitted?

All the best to her

Hello, fellow Nairalanders. A very Happy Fathers' Day to you all. I have been searching for a while now and think I have finally landed on the right thread. I must also commend the great job you guys are doing here.

I would appreciate your help with a few questions I have. I already applied twice for a Canadian TRV and have been turned down both times. The reasons given the first time, were 'Travel History' & 'Purpose of Visit' while the second was 'Personal Asset & Financial Situation'. Anyway, I actually did present enough funds invested in Treasury Bills (NGN5M) and stated in my appplication that I was budgetting about CAD3,000 for the trip of 10 days! On the other hand, I however failed to present my land papers so I can say they actually got me good from the 'Personl Asset' angle. The land is in the village and I would have to start from the scratch acquring the necessary land papers. I simply can't start this process given the limited time I have to make this trip. On the other hand, my mum has an already surveyed land in her name and seeing that I am her only offspring, is ready to have that transferred to me. Is this okay? If so, what's the best way to go about getting the necessary transfer documents? Will a sworn affidavit of transfer suffice?

I would really appreciate your help with this, guys.

If you can request for the GCMS report for both applications it will do u good. Same reasons were stated for my sister until we requested for her GCMS report and therein lays the true pic of her refusal otherwise we wud have just keep reapplying without addressing the main reason for refusal and she wud have just be getting refused

Hi Everyone,

My parents are planning to come to Canada on a visitor visa in August and I am not sure how to go about the Visa application to up their chances of approval.
Apologies for the long post

Go ahead and apply online for them. The application will have same profile as long as you create a single profile for them, only that your dad will be recognised as the principal applicant. If feel online is their best bet as long as all relevant docs are submitted. I did same for my parents and they got their visas and their
applications were treated on a single profiles.
Your being a PR holder will even be an added ad vantage for them especially ur mom, just that their application muSt be document tight then vola the visas are theirs.

Sir, it is possible.

Mine took 2months and like 2 weeks (card got to us at 2months, 3 weeks and 4 days).

I have seen 2 months and 3 days.

It all depends on how "complicated" each case is,Travel history to and from the US, the petitioner and the field office case was sent

Are you saying you started the process in 2mths and at the end of 2mths 3 days u got it?

Bros you dey lie.

State your time line? When did your processing start, when did you get interview date, and when did u eventually get the GC?

My sibling got the GC from Nigeria not even in the USA and the process started almost a year to when it was eventually concluded. The 10years GC was sent like a month upon arrival to usa.

People can so form what is not here.

Or am I missing something here?

I've said this times without number, the US/Europe embassy's are fraudsters, they are defrauding developing countries which is absurd. My question stands, can any country take $160 from 400 citizens of the United states daily then deny 330 visas without investigation by the FBI?

Most times this visa fee/trip is not easy for some folks and the agony you face after denial is really depressing, it takes a real man to accept the fate he was disqualified for an interview he well prepared for, some folks travel all the way from far East to Abuja (not even Lagos) only to be told blah blah, I always imagine how they feel returning back home. It's only in Nigeria you go to embassy well prayed, dressed and hopeful then get a piece of shit for your effort. I'll strongly advise, please don't go to the US embassy if you have no tangible business in this Donald Trump's US cos he's making hell bent for any immigrant to succeed at the moment, please use the cash for something else.

Come to think of it, if the visa fee is not easy why travel? Travelling is an expensive venture so be ready for whatever comes out of it. If you are finding the visa fee difficult I guess you should not attempt applying at all because it simply means if granted it will be a *journey of no return*

There should be allowance for rejection so nothing comes as a shock.

My first visa refusal was UK, then I was very young naive and inexperienced I cried tire not be cos of the visa fee but be cos most of my classmate in school then usually go for holiday and wen they return they come with trendy stuffs. It was during our long break I wanted to shine too. But you know what, few years after I left school and I started working and I applied to A rated countries like usa and I got the visa at first attempt also countries like Switzerland France etc that I visit a least 4times a year those days, I regreted ever applying for UK when I did becos UK at the right time would have been just a Walk thru for me.

So my dear countryperson travel only if you must and at the right time not at a *by fire by force* matter. Otherwise one will only end up adding to the revenue of usa

I like the spirit.

I think other factors also come to play when accessing applications like the class of visa amongst other like family, financial, economic, social, socioeconomic ties etc

Now that you have a strong pointer - the J1 visa, I will advise you start working on that, try to research more on it and prepare yourself more on it too.

I have this feeling also that the next time you will apply you will be granted.

The latter part of your comment would have suffice, and I would have refered you to a tiny piece of what I have written up there about how the GC was gotten LESS than 5 weeks, that people saw and ignored or didn't bother to see, but just jumped to comment.

I don't know how anyone in his right mind will ever think of getting a GC in Yankee after APPLYING in LESS THAN 5 WEEKS from start to finish!!!
Even Benin Republic or Togo will not accept you as their citizen in such time frame not to talk about God's own country!!
So there are some comments that should be ignore.
It is just like saying Arsenal will win the WORLD CUP!! When you see things like that, you just shake your head and move on , without a reply.

Since he owes no one an explanation or telling anyone to contact him and everything he has done from day one was genuine.

Then he will let it slide and get focused in his new life and environment here... EOD.

N.B: Initially, I only came here to reply the OP as I have given some immeasurable advice to other people in recent past about the Yankee interviews, 2 people are already in Yankee and one is travelling 3 days from now (all these in 2 months!), without seeing any of them face to face or knowing any of them from anywhere, apart from many chats and 1 or 2 phone calls without a single naira (not even ONE naira) mentioned or involved in all i did!

If y'all learn to ask question in a subtle mature way, rather than jumping to comment, it will be better.
If you all have concluded, that the info is negative, he is confused and not saying the truth, then what explanation do y'all need again then?!
All the best to you guys.
I wish everyone well.

Nothing that I've posted could be construed as being disrespectful. Please stop wearing your emotion on your shoulder. Even if you want to be disrespectful I simply won't go there with you.

The fastest way to get a Green Card is by joining the USA military.

Dude, you're all over the place. First, you said K1 and CR1 is for the UK. I corrected you.

This is what OP asked:

"We both will like get married and be together. What visa options are available to us?"

Why are you jumping already to receiving a green card in the mail? Won't you have to petition USCIS first, in a process that will take from 6 months to a year, then go through NVC, a process that will take 3 to 6 months and then wait for the interview, a process that may take 1 to 3 months?

Now hear this, your "someone" got his or her green card immediately at POE, not 2 weeks or 2 months, immediately. The stamp at the arriving airport is a temporary green card that is valid for a year.

Settle, down, read the question posed carefully and then use your experience to answer and guide.

PS: You had all evening to prove me wrong but you couldn't. You're by far the least likely person that will get to correct me because you simply have no idea of what you typed. period.

Again, you refer to someone, friends, etc. Mr. Man, which one have you done, please post of your own experiences.

Correct!
you read my thought, I didn't even see this before I posted my initial comments. ....GC in 2 months! When its not B1/B2 even that one now may take up to 1 to 3mths from submission before securing a favourable interview date.

People just come to NL and post dagbo

So with that, let me only comment on what I bolded in your last comment, what I am talking about is not a second-hand information.
So you believe it is through joining the military alone that is the fastest way to get a GC?
Take care[/quote

This is just fallasy
You have not made any point. How or what are the procedures that got your person a GC within 2 month?

The last I checked, it take almost 6mths to a year to conclude on the process of filing talk less of been inviting by usa embassy for interview. My sibling is a GC holder and I know how long it took to obtain it

So tell us how your person got married within 2mths and he got his GC

You can get as much countries visas as you are able to obtain them as long as you have the financial capacity to handle your trips, ....its cheaper though in terms of cost of fare cos u have locations to play around with. I always ensure I have at least 3 different country'svisas at any point in time, it saves me cost of flight cos it enables me navigates easily via the cheapest route.

Hello Everyone. i am really amazed at the huge contributions I have been reading here since I was introduced to this forum.

In the year 2012, a friend of mine in trying to assist me out of my jobless & broke state then, contacted a travel agent who assured us that he can help me get a students visa to the US for a fee. We were both convinced he could do it when we saw other people he had helped.

He provided documents (work, bank statements, school admission letter etc.) for me and he told me to get my senior brother info which I used in preparing my international passport, due to he has some documents that can be used, unfortunately i was refused the visa for false documentation.

Now I am interested in going to US with my family, and fortunately, my current status has changed from a job seeking guy back then to an owner of a fashion house .

My fears now are that the US would use the false information i submitted then (6 years ago) to refuse me again as my full names and my date of birth have changed (the agent advised us then to use my senior brother info.

I got a new passport now with my real information, but am afraid of submitting it to the US because of my fears that they might refuse me and worst still my wife and kids applied to them last year but they got denied without any proper reasons.

because of this i have been shying away from applying for US visa. This is my first post here and I would greatly appreciate sincere advise from experienced people here on what to do.

Tough luck here i must say

You seem not to understand my point. But it's fine. Let me summarize it here:

1. It's perfectly okay to criticize. Covering up is wrong.
2. However, the criticism shouldn't be condescending or insultive.
3. Also the criticism should be constructive and properly directed at the right audience.

Personally I think we are saying the same thing. Perhaps you don't know the aspect where I disagree with TWoods.

But if you still insist that it's okay to be condescending and insultive while criticising. If you insist that it's fine to denigrate the country in the international community, then it means we aren't saying the same thing. And I'd say good luck with your views. I rest my case.

May God help this country along with it's inhabitants.

Exactly my point. Must he be rude at all times? Twoods should learn to show a tiny little bit of manners phew!

Wasn't sad and wasn't happy. I'm 25, US can't spoil my vibe. Life goes on. Hopefully, I will go if the opportunity comes again.

Obinoscopy with all due respect i have to totally push you back on this, there is nothing like destructive criticism when it comes to issue of Nigeria and fraud/corruption etc

Is either we condemn what is wrong and take action or we sit on our hands and keep praying fruitless prayers hoping that one day miracle will happen.

Truth hurts that is why many don't like hearing it. I really hope that we will have many TWoods speaking out and not play the nice-guy card to avoid back clash

No one is saying truth is not right but the way it's being communicated matters. TWOODS as far as am concerned is just too rude and insultive, there are lot of people here who are advocate of doing the right thing particularly on immigration matters and such were passed with absolute sanity. if you read his post 99% is rude even on matters that is on neutral grounds he is still insultive.

You know what, when people display such bragado and holier than thou attitude, my dear check well they are simply trying to cover what they accuse others of.

Even the Americans who get land will politely refuse u visa or entry which one is hisown?
He should come back home and change things why did he remain in another man's land was he born there, didn't he also emigrated there? Oshisko plc.

His brother that abused his class of visa did he cut his neck? Did he or has he ever used him as reference point when he is castigating others, that is a very big hypocritic criticism. First remove the dust in your eyes before you try to remove that of another person. Mtchew!

TWoods come and tell us how you got to USA and how did you treat your brother's case then all man will take whatever you say.

That being said, I strongly disagree with those who say TWOODS is denting the image of this country. I seriously beg to disagree fa. You can only cover up something that happens in your house.
