sir learn to read post clearly. There is no where i stated my friend was going to a conference on behalf of a company and neither did the initial posters mentioned any of such.

cant one attend conference at ones freewill without being sponsored by a company or on behalf of a conference?

must a company sponsor her conference? her purpoe of visit was the conference becos she felt that will aid her getting the visa, her company has no financial comittement whatsoever only letter of introduction stating she is a staff. The same letter i got from my organisation yet i was refused.

i really dont get your logic still. if the applicant by way of submission is able to prove to the VO that he/she merit the visa regardless of how much the income is earned so why not?

i have a friend who worked for lawma when she got her UK to attend a conference she was earning about N40somethingK, i was earning over N200k warking in a fin institution yet i was refused. She got the visa and had renewed and visited severally. As at last count when she renewed her 5yr UK visa recently her income wasnt even up to #65K.

Ability to sustain yourself on the trip and not recourse to public funds while on the trip vis a vis your ties back home; to mention but is fee is what the VO is looking out for

you have 30days from the time you got the request to submit your passport. or you can send them an email stating your predicament and enquire if you can submit at the embassy closest to you there in the uss.

Good Morning House, Please I applied for Visitors visa to canada online on the 21st of march. I only received confirmation of submitted application and receipt of payment. The next day I was sent a mail in my yahoo that I have a mail on the site. I checked, there was no mail for me but my kids application had a second mail stating that they do not need biometrics. I have being waiting for my biometrics mail to no avail.
Please Guru's, how do I tackle this issue? Should I write them? and if yes...which address? Thanks for your prompt response.

try visit vfs and complain maybe you could get your biometric done then as you are supposed to get it within 3 days of submittion

its not a problem, usually you are given i guess 30 days from when they send you passport request mail to submit your passport and am sure you should be back before then since you are not residence in UK ba?

For my account statements as I plan to submit everything online, do I have to go to a bank branch, get a paper printed copy of my account statement and then scan it or can I just download the one from Online banking and attach it to my application.

Also is there any advantage of submitting more than one account statement.

You need to scan the statement collected from your bank. You can put as much statement of account that will proof your financial tie and capacity to fund the trip and back

Yes if the application was done online.

But if its paper application, it will not tell you, it will only notify you that your documents is ready for collection, it is after you pick up your documents you will know what the outcome is.

Reason being that in case you no longer work there, you can update your new email add on your form whenever you are reapplying and you can always access you interview profile page accordingly
