As if that was all he submitted, people tend to make this things look so cheap, in reality, it isnt!


There is a case of someone being rejected when they applied for Visa, tourist to canada.
when the GCM notes came, do you know what was written by the VO? The applicant didn't submit a correspondent letter for previous Job, and that's why you reject an entire application? could he not have put it on hold and ask for it instead?
Now the person have to reapply and Just include the correspondence letter, another 52k when he could have simply scanned it with 200 Naira or take it to the embassy. Sometimes you wonder.

sometime in March, i read through some pages here to learn about the Canadian TRV visa. i got invaluable insights here. I feel obligated to share my success story, may be this may help some one tomorrow.

mission: going for a conference
funding: i received funding from the organizers
applied: 23rd, paper application
documents submitted:
- work contracts
- certificate of leave
- letter of introduction from work
- bank statement
- 1 page statement of purpose
- bank accounts
- travel insurance.
- certified copies of my educational documents
- letter of invitation
- Notification of Travel grant award


- then i missed attaching my payment slips and conference registration confirmation (though it was not available at the time), in the next lines you will see the moves i made to rectify this . Please guys, this is not advisable, do not make the mistake of not attaching any of your supporting documents.

i learnt from this thread that one could email the embassy after documents have been submitted, on the condition that you have a cogent reason, for which the embassy may decide to acknowledge you email after evaluation on the basis of your genuineness and sincerity of your request, or otherwise ignore your email.
Please i would encourage you to write only when you have a reason and only when its most expedient.

then i wrote the embassy asking them to speed up processing of my application as the conference date was fast approaching. In the same letter i explained the circumstances for submitting my application the time i did, then attached the documents, which where now available
at the time.


in summary, on 18th April i got a response that "Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office Abuja, on to the Canada Visa Application Centre" , two days after i received the courier.

Lo and behold, it was Approved.

I recently plan on relocating to Canada although I don't know on which platform to apply,
maybe express entry, student visa and all. Left Nigeria some 2 years ago to Belgium for my MSc. Within that period, I've had 2 years US visa which expires May 2019 and visited once, within the last month I got 6 month UK that expires in October and travelled to more than 7 countries in the EU. I will be finishing my MSc here by September and need to have a concrete plan to fall back to. I think Canada is a right one. so based on experience, I hope I can be rightly advised on the best and sane way to eventually get to live in Canada because to be sincere, I have very limited knowledge of Canada immigration issues.
Note: financially I can say I have 8,000 euros in savings presently

"We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 03 May 2018 to the Canada Visa Application Centre."

Please can anybody assist to explain what this e-mail means?

I just applied this morning via dropbox for renewal. I also applied for my baby who's just about one year old but was surprised when the DHL personnel said I'd need to book appointment to apply for her at the US Embassy. I thought that would be unnecessary since she's a minor.
I requested for how to get a refund but they gave me a number which is not even connecting

Are they on point with their advice? if yes, how do i get a refund to do the fresh application?
Also, please, how long does it take to go for pickup if applying via dropbox?

Hello house, I and my husband are applying for Canadian visas via the online route. He is an engineer with lots of travel history. Work takes him around a lot. I am a legal practitioner with no travel history, not even Ghana sef, lol. We have a child but we are not applying with her for now. We would do that if our visas are approved. Our circumstances are;

A. Husband's bank statement with 5m
B. My bank statement with 3M
C. Husband's landed property documents (about 7)
D. Our employment documents

Husband has applied for US visa three times and was denied. He has an expired 6months and 2years UK visas. He's been to Germany,France, Spain, Italy, China, India, Vietnam, Hong Kong,.

What do you guys think our chances are?

Also, can I add my baby's birth cert to the folder for marriage certificate? What about the landed property documents? On which of the folders do we upload it. My passport does not have any stamping. Do I still need to upload all the pages or just the bio data page?
