My oga na so o... Perhaps by April I go start dey make plans grin. Thanks.

Meanwhile, my passport expires in June and my bro was saying something along the lines of airlines not allowing you on board if your passport's validity is less than 6months, I'm also making my Canada application now and they usually give you a visa to cover the validity of your passport. What should I do in this case as I don't want them to give me visa that's only valid for a few months. Any thoughts? Is it possible to have another passport now, even though the current passport still has a few months left to run?
Try to renew your passport before you travel to usa and process your canada visa immediately you arrive USA, it faster and more guaranteed

A personal support worker is someone that helps people
Wen it comes to aging
Like a rich man that has stroke and can't walk again
Just like kids in Modupe cOle and our old adults in the old peoples home at yaba
It's a course to learn on how to be a caregiver
In terms of taking care of people who can't help themselves again
Nurses are not caregivers but they work together lets say wen they need medical attention
So pls help me all to view it
The review would have been more beneficial before you submitted your application. All the best, your application looks good, let hope the VO who would process your application is patient and understanding.

TravelRe: Health Insurance For Study Purposes In Hungary (urgent) by ladylco: 1:00am On Dec 30, 2016
Bro... you are very lucky, that's all. Especially on presenting one month statement of account. That's enough to deny because they can say you intentionally started running the account for that month when you already know that you will use it to apply for visa. Congrats. You are so lucky .. All the best.
There is nothing like luck here its simply common sense and humbling one's self to take advise and learn from people's experience. Just like Amefreeka mentioned, present any/as much document as you can defend, since he has confidence in the turnover on his statement, why not? its now left for you to defend and explain yourself at the interview. Afterall, its further education you are meant to go for hence it is expected of you to be sound.

if you had seeked this advice from the onset, maybe you would have gotten your visa right the first time instead of bringing down someone else's effort who took out time to explain in details useful information on the visa process.

Anyways I wish you all the best. My advise to you is to appreciate others effort no matter how small or big, once again i wish the best

If you are in Lagos.. Just go to their head office (funds transfer unit) at Idejo, off Adeola Odeku, VI.
Go with your supporting documents including correspondences with Centennial. You may also request transfer details including reference number from Centennial College.

Request for the telex copy of the transfer(reciept of the transfer) from the school and present it when you get to the international transfer unit of your bank, hope its the bank details you provided to your school for the refund?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ladylco: 1:27pm On Dec 19, 2016
Eastner:
Hello House, your advice and expert opinion is needed.
I intend traveling to the UK with our child early next year to visit my husband (British citizen). Our child was born in Lagos and we applied for and got his British passport here in Lagos.
I've been working in the same company for 10years now (even before i got married) and the salary was just reviewed in September, to 210k after tax,but i'm currently paying off a loan of 50,000 naira. (brings it to 160k). I receive 5,000 naira monthly as balance from phone credit top-up (so,rather than top up with 15,000.the company tops up my phone with 10,000 and credits my account with the remaining 5,000 balance and it's not included in payslip). Periodically, i also receive bonus and also just received my 13th month salary. My monthly expenses is 50,000 naira except on occasions where i've had to carry out some projects.
My husband sends money via western union monthly too and this varies depending on expenses and what not(could be as low as 51,000 and as high as 300,000 naira , 3 times in a month).
I intend sponsoring the trip and my husband will be providing the accommodation alone.
I intend submitting my salary account for the application. These are the documents I'm thinking of submitting:

1. Employment Letter
2. Letter of Introduction From My boss stating how long I've been working,my role, that my leave has been approved and i'm to resume after.
3. 6months salary account bank statement/Covering letter
4. 6 months pay slip
5. Tax Card
6. Pensions Account Statement/Covering Letter
7. Shares Certificate
8. Land Documents
9. Utility Bill
10. Marriage Certificate/Evidence of Change of Name
11. Evidence of Additional source of Income (Western Union)
12. Wedding & Family Pictures

For Our Child
1. Birth Certificate
2. British Passport Bio-data
3. School 1st Term Results
4. Pictures of Son in School
5. Letter of Acknowledgement/confirmation from School Head.

From My Husband
1. British Passport Bio-data
2. Letter of Invitation and Consent
3. Employment Letter
4. 6 months Salary Account Statement
5. 6 months Pay slip
6. Tenancy Agreement
7. Utility Bill

Now, my questions are:
A) When filling the budget breakdown such as ,'what is the cost of the trip to me personally as well as total cost'.. do i include the cost of flight and feeding for my son? Since he's visiting with me. But he doesn't need a visa.
B) Since i'm including feeding as part of my budget, do i still need to submit my husband's statement of account? (It's not bouyant as he just returned from nigeria)
C) How much do you think is feasibile for feeding for a mom and child for 2weeks. I was budgeting 135 pounds.
D) Do i really need to add shopping?
E) When asked if the purpose of travel is to visit the person i'll be staying with, the answer is YES, right? since the primary purpose isnt sight seeing.
F) What the ties i can use to show that i will definately come back to nigeria since technically,my family members are my husband and son asides parents and inlaws in nigeria.

I'll be having 750,000 in the account i'm presenting and the budget is

Flight - 384,056 (Son and I)
Feeding & Misc - 80,000 (Son and I)

G) Can you please assist with what i've listed so far.
Thank you.
I feel you are good to go except that for your son as a British citizen, with is UK passport, he does not need a visa to travel to the UK even the USA, all you need to do in addition to all document you have stated just include copy of his british passport. Do not waste money on visa fee for him. Make sure you write a detail letter of for your application.

Best of luck

Dear all,

You guys have being doing wonderful job here. I say thank you for helping one another.

I have being following this topic for some time now but this is my first time of posting a comment. My family was recently denied a Canadian visa. Reasons for refusal is "purpose of travel and travel history". Following the advice on this forum, I applied for the GCMS note and got it today. Surprisingly, the GCMS note of 24 pages pdf file that contains more of their internal codes. The main point for refusal was not still clear as the VO simply stated that
"Based on a review of the application and supporting documents and after considering the purpose of travel, travel history, financial status (earnings/savings), family ties both in Canada and homeland and the overall establishment of the applicant, I am not satisfied that the applicant is sufficiently established so as to motivate a timely departure. Refused."

About my application: I work in a bank at a middle management level. These are some of the documents submitted

* Application form
* Old passport containing used visas to UK, Dubai, France
* Current passport with valid but yet to be used US visa (the plan is to combine the trip to US and Canada)
* Hotel booking using booking.com
* Flight booking
* Employment letter dated back to 2007
* Promotion letters
* Letter of introduction from my employer indicating leave period and leave entitlement of about N2.8m
* Medical Insurance ID Card from HMO.
* Lagos State Tax clearance card
* Pension fund statement from IBTC
* Life Assurance letter from IGI
* Education support insurance for my kids from Mutual Benefit Insurance
* Statement of investments for my kids
* Mortgage letter (I took a mortgage from my bank to buy a property in Lekki). All mortgage documents included.
* Documents for landed property in Ikorodu and Ajah
* 6 months payslip
* Photocopy of staff ID Card.
* Bank statement of salary account and investment accounts worth more than N6m
* Letter of introduction from my kids' school
* However, I did not include travel itinerary but stated places we wanted to visit in the SOP letter.

Honestly, I am surprised at their refusal because I have never been refused a visa before. One thing that is very clear from the GCMS note is that they share data with the US.

Just decided to share the story of my application. I hope to reapply again when I come back from the US.

Since you have a US visa, why dont you apply from USA.

You're welcome. Please remain positive. I met with a senior Nurse at SPDC last week, after I learnt from her colleague covering for her that she's back from Canada on her annual leave. She told all of us in her office something shocking. Her husband is a medic in canada. She earns good salary with other impressive packages that suit her rank with strong home ties including 2 buildings with CofO in good locations (at least, I know one of the buildings when her first born, a daughter was getting married) but despite her status, she was refused 2 times by CIC, citing 'purpose of visit' , not funny at all. This woman had been to the UK and USA 2 times each, before applying to canada the first time. Her visa was approved on the 3rd attempt, multiple entry visa with validity of 4 years and 10 months on a renewed passport. Amazingly, she said she didn't change the documents she's been submitting alongside her applications from day one, imagine!
My sister too just got refused the second time now based on purpose of visit, travel history and personal asset and financial status. She has been to france, uk and italy She submitted her 2 personal statement of acct, biz account, and fixed deposit account. We dont know what to do again. I had to postpone my trip for her because we were meant to travel together. We applied together the first time, I was granted but she wasnt. The first refusal was on purpose of visit and travel history. Please can anyone advise on what to do?

Dude you are just make allegations on something we know very little about, the ECO might have carried out their own investigation about the business before stating that the business is not hers. We don't know the whole story neither do we know what she submitted but you keep going on about how they refuse people visa falsely.

The U.K. Referendum of EU was not because they were asked to take some refugees ask you falsely stated before. The referendum issue was an election promise far before the refugees crisis.

The U.K. Economy is not in crisis again as you wrongly pointed out.

Nobody is attacking you but avoid misleading people even when the fact is everywhere.

I totally agreed with you. my brother just got refused visa because he did not disclose an Irish visa refusal 4 years ago. He have never applied for an Irish visa in his life and his current passport is his first passport ever.

TravelRe: REFUSAL Of Visa And Seizure Of Passport By UK Embassy by ladylco: 12:59pm On Sep 22, 2016
jimmyboy12:
Good evening House,
I resides in the UK, In November 2014, my wife applied for a settlement visa to come and join me in the UK at the time of the application, I was very convinced that we met all the immigration requirement because I took my time to make sure all the neccessary supporting evidences were enclosed as we have had 3 applications refused previously in 2011 (visitor visa), 2012 (Settlement visa) and 2013 (Visitor visa) for my graduation, this was just some month after our wedding which took in Nigeria. I know people will be wondering why we applied for a visitor visa but the reason was because I just graduated and was not earning up to £18600 (Minimum Income threshold). But I was surprised and when the application was refused and my wife 2 international passport was retained, One is cancelled and a valid one. It is worth noting that prior to the application in 2011, she had already applied for a UK visa which was refused but that has no connection with me at all and as you are all aware in the UK visa application form they do ask for the where about of old passport but she said to me that the passport is lost, so in all the other applications that were made from the aforementioned year (2011) we let the British high commission know that the passport is lost.

What's more, the reasons for refusal are as follow;

(1)RETENTION OF NIGERIAN PASSPORT NO A05******/A02*****

The passport that you were intending to travel with, as detailed above, has been retained as we are not satisfied that the document satisfactorily establishes your identity and nationality, in view of the fact that you have previously applied for a UK visa using a different date of birth. Enquiries will be undertaken at this office and the document will be forwarded as soon as practically possible to the Nigerian Immigration Service in Abuja. The Nigerian Immigration Service will decide whether further action is required. In these cases, enquiries should be addressed to the address below:

Comptroller General, NIS
Document Fraud Unit
Nigerian Immigration Service HQ
ABUJA

Yours sincerely

Entry Clearance Manager
UK Visas and Immigration

(2) "The applicant did not provide a letter from her sponsor's employer with her application which confirms the sponsor's employment status and salary. With this application a letter dated 24 September 2014 has been submitted. This carries the letter head of XYZABC123 (my employer) but appears to be a photocopy. The letter carries the writer's name "Miss xxxxx Bleep" But has no signature. Consequently no employment letter is considered to have been provided. The applicant has therefore not provided the document required by Appendix FM-SE paragraph 2 (b).

FactsThe first reason for refusal was not true because my wife said she never use any other date of birth except real date of birth. And this fact was

confirmed when will appeal and during review Entry Clearance Manager withdrew the first refusal but the problem now is that, The British high commission said to us that they have send my wife passport to the Nigeria immigration service in Abuja but she lives in Lagos that will should contact them.
The advice i'm seeking now is that since they have admitted that the mistake was from their, are they not suppose to be the one to retrieve my wife passport from the Nigeria Immigration service since they send it to them.

Please I need urgent advice and God bless

Best Regards,

Jimmy12

Please were you able to retrieve your wife's passport? how did you go about it.
