This is incredible! Did you read the VOs post at all? cheesy
How incredible? Oh yeah I did! for records, my first US visa was for conference and I was ask to show evidence that I paid for the conference as I mentioned the cost. This is first hand personal experience .....so what do you have to say about that?

Besides I never said what the VO said is wrong neither did I say that the VO's comment should not be listened too. Did you read my post at all?

Good day to all the gurus in the house pls I need a clearifications on something. .
I went for a visit visa interview on the 29th of dec 2016 but was denied, age 27 nwmarried and working with a comp i went to tanzania on the 24th dec 2016 and got bk on the 26th before the us interview on the 29th....... Now I went to germany in feb and wanna reapply for us visa again how should I go about it does the additional travel history improve my chances, and when is it right to reapply.. Thanks
Your travel history could be questionable as the time interval is quite short, except you have tangible reasons for the frequent travels. You cannot claim to go on vacation in Dec and in Feb Germany then now USA, na so your salary plenty reach and which organization will permit leave every 2 months?

Just take your time, give a bit of tine and maybe you can put in for the germany then later in the year you can try USA. Anyways it all depends on your purpose of visit sha. All the best

Hello all,

Please I have a question, I will be going for my visa interview soon. I filled in DH as my sponsor, so will be going with both of our account statements. He has an investment in USD in an investment company but while requesting for the statement, the manager of the company told DH that the company is not registered yet. I guess he is suppose to register the company in the US.

What do you advise? Should I present the document when asked for statement of accounts? Thanks
Please do not present that document for the USD investment if it is not registered to avoid you causing problem for yourself.

So missionary Journey completed. Returned to Naija on saturday 24th, march 2017. So here is the breakdown of experience and expenses....

Got to US through jfk POE on the 9th of December .( I shared the POE experience previously)

Concerning accomodation I shared here on how a stayed with a friend who lives just 15mins drive to the hospital and Drs office but had to move out to my sis-in-laws place who lives 1hr away from the hospital because my friend said I offended her 3yrs ago and did nt apologies and I didnt allow her determine what date I will book my flight to America and what date I will pick for drs appointment. Also, the fact that my DH didn't call her to appreciate before I left Nigeria. And how she is doing me so much favor cos if my water breaks she will leave her work and take me to the hospital. And she started acting funny so I had to leave.
But thank God for the bus route around my inlaws place. Although I usually spend 6hrs and on the road when I have to go for my Dr's appointment (3hrs to and 3hrs back) but my cute baby boy is worth the whole hassle. I usually just spend 3dollars on bus against spending 100dollars to and fro on uber cab.

On Medical,
LO arrives at HNWMC, on the 15th of Feb, (2 days to due date) in the hands of Dr chun on of Dr Xydas colleague. I was in labour for 27hrs cos my water broke without contraction and 0 dilation. I was induced but was only finger tip dilated for 12hrs of induction with pitocin drip. I was later given 3doses of cytotec drug at the 2nd dose I was 2cm dilated after 24hrs. I was also given penicilin drip to prevent my baby from getting infected. At a point I called my Dr to come for a CS cos I couldnt bear the pain again and the fear of something happening to my baby but he said he wasnt coming and asked me to take an epidural instead. I took the epidural and another blues started I started shivering like I was locked in a freezer after 45mins the nurse checked and screamed thank u jesus saying I was 9cm dilated. Before I knew different nurses, paedritician and my dr flooded the room. The nurses held my leg for me to push baby came out after 30mins of pushing and paedritician certified him perfectly fine. Na then I relax cos they where already saying their NICU was full so the will refer him somewhere. It was quite an experience. But the Drs over there dont do much the nurses do the major work oh. Well. Thats why they pay nurses well sha.

HNWMC baby registry applied for a Birth certificate and SSN but I made a mistake with my address so didnt receive it till left but I went to SSA office and they gave me the number hoping my sis in law will receive it.

DR Xydas- 1700, accepted my test result but did some other ones all covered in his bill.
HNWMC- 2000 (discharged after 2 days)
Pead Visit - $714 ( had to call several times and battled with them cos initial bill given was $1428)
Birth Cert $23 (for 1 copied)
Passport 165 (expedited- couldnt get a favourable date in houston had to go to Dallas downtown office on wednesday and was asked to pick it up on thursday)
VOA $200 (applied for visa on arrival on monday 20th and was ready on tuesday 21st, Thanks to Desoul...) Payment for the Visa done at the Nigerian Airport in Lagos, I paid cash with $100 and $20 (5) and they refused the $20 bill. I was very upset and asked why? the yeye women said welcome to Nigeria.
Went to get a trolley to pack my things and they said madam N150 I gave her N200 and she was like madam dont need help because of ur baby and I asked how much will the help cost me. She said 1500 I just vex and opened eye for her and said HELP but I will still pay 1500 she just quickly gave me my N50 change and I left.

Infant ticket on Air France - $51.60.. My DH tried to change my return ticket from JFK to Dallas. They told him $535 for my ticket and $426 for the baby. We decided to stick with the jfk one. I called airfrance to add my baby's ticket I was told $65 was about to pay when the line cut. I had to recall the new person gave me. $51.60 they refused my Nigeria access bank card they wanted a card that has a US address tried to use my host card and I was told I will need to show the card at the airport. My host decided to go to the Dallas airport to pay to avoid them asking for the card when I need to check in at jfk, thank God he went cos my baby's name was wrongly spelt so the initial booking confirmation was cancelled but thankGod when he did the booking again it was same price.
My Dh made a terrible mistake that would have cost us $200. He booked my ticket from dallas to jfk with my maiden name and I dont have ID showing that name. ThankGod my baby's birth certificate had a provision for mothers maiden name. That was what I used as ID to scale through.

ALL ZERO BALANCE GOTTEN for all MEDICAL RELATED EXPENSES.
PLS ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK ANYTHING U ARE WRITING.
Thanks to everyone for the contribution here and those I pmed that responded
Desoul, firsttymum God bless u
Congratulations to you and thank God for safe delivery, God bless you and your baby

Or are you begging for an agent to steal your money help you!
If i need to consult an agent, I would not have asked for information here, I thought that is what this thread is meant for, moreso, someone mentioned the enterpreneur visa here and I felt I could get more info from here since I kind of qualify.... i dnt even need to explain anything to you because you are known to be abusive and not really answering questions without being rude. Please keep you opinion to yourself if you cant reply simply question in a normal manner or better still just ignore. Thank you.

Its amazing how some pple just turn themselves to keyboard warriors. How can a grown adult come to a faceless forum and say 'I don't understand how an intelligent person that can use phone and internet will be going to travel agent to book ticket??'. That is rather insulting. And as you said, una get money to be dashing them, next time pls just jump and pass.
Also note that often times, these so called travel agent's quote are a lot more cheaper when you book through them than when you book directly from the airlines.

The consulate's exchange rate of 340naira to 1dollar should suffice. As that is the exchange rate used to calculate the Visa fee. Not the CBN rate. I should think so. Correct me if I am wrong.
It is most ideal to use the official CBN rate since you will be sourcing for your dollar in Nigeria and that us the rate used officially here.

wanna share my interview experience at the US Embassy in Lagos on Friday.

Me: good morning
Vo: morning
Me: how is work today?
Vo: fine. can I have your passport?
Me: sure (passes passport)
Vo: why do you wanna go to the US?
Me: I wanna go for a tour of so so so University in NC. I also wanna attend a walk-in information and group session at the College of Business and Economics of the University.

Vo: what do you do?
Me: I'm a marketer for a travel and Tours company

Vo: You work for a Travel Agency?
Me: Ya
Vo: Have you travelled outside Nigeria before?
Me: Yes. I've been to Ghana.
Vo: Are you married?
Me: No I'm not. I've aged parents I take care of.
Vo: Why must you make this trip at this time?
Me: It's a reward by my employers for my loyalty and also for the clients I've brought in to do business with the company.
Vo: Well at this time you are not qualified for bla bla bla...... print blue paper give me

The whole interview no pass one minute. IMO those guys make a decision on your application before you show up
If am a VO, i would not grant you visa at all as your profile is not convincing enough. "Me: I wanna go for a tour of so so so University in NC. I also wanna attend a walk-in information and group session at the College of Business and Economics of the University. "

The above is a redflag as a potential illegal immigrant.

You have not displayed any convincing facts that you intend tom attend the school not has the capacity to finance the programme.

Try a more convincing purpose for visit and build stronger tie.

Guys good day,

Am new here but I have enjoyed reading this thread as it is very informative.

I would like to ask the gurus here some questions.

My passport was supposed to expire by DEC so I wanted to travel to out for holiday this year before it's expiration so I chose Canada. Presently a trusted consultant is doing the application on my behalf so its almost confirmed I would be given the visa but the problem is

I just got admitted in a school I applied for MSC in Norway to resume in August so I won't be going to Canada anymore for now.

I want to know if there is any very negative implications in the future of not using the Canadian visa if and when granted.
Get your canada visa first. student also travel for holiday.

You can only get the information you need if you can just take your time to read up the thread, then you can come back to get clarification where necessary as you may not get answers to you question.

Hello everyone... May the Lord almighty bless everyone for helping one another on this platform.

I intend to apply for a visiting Visa BUT I heared US and Canada share some infor as regards visa application. I am self employed , I was doing a certain business when I got refused at the US embassy with my wife in 2015. Now I do have another business which is doing very well and registered, I intend to apply with the new business.

My question, won't the Canadian VO think I had mention in my US application then that I was doing a certain business?
2, I have travelled to the Uk on several occasions (visit), studied and lived there legitimately for 3yrs but my resident permit got expired. After then, have travelled on visit again.... And also have been to Spain once. However, I still have a valid Uk visiting visa...

What's my chance of securing Canadian visa and what are the required docs To submit .... Or where can I read about required docs to submit..

I appreciate your contribution in advance. Many thanks
Try to get your USA visa before attempting canada again so you dont look desperate in before the canadian VO

Wow.... My passion and drive brought me here, but with all have read.... am nothing close
But I Won't Leave without dropping my heavy heart desire here.
Am a 22 year old graduate. I would love to travel to Canada (to hustle, to be sincere here). That is my only heart desire, but with all have read here, there is much to it than 'desire' or 'day-dreaming'. I currently have 200k, but looking for means of 1m. Since am not even working, how do I explain the source (with all have read here).
I don't even know which way..................
Try to build your financial/economic ties then after you can think of applying.

LadyGuinivere:
@crytolady this is one of the rare times I will tell an applicant to reapply immedately.
IMO, it wasn't the mistake you made that caused the refusal. Rather, I'm of the opinion that the VO was not convinced your visas were real.
Way forward:
When reapplying . In the reason for refusal, state that
1. You made a mistake an answered 3 times instead of 2ice for previous UK travel
2. That you believe the VO was not convinced your visas were real. And you are willing to demonstrate the authenticity of the visa if need be by any means possible and within your ability (I assume the visas are real). And that they are welcome to conduct any validity checks if they are so minded to
So , if you can cough up another 50k go for it
#myopinion
I agree with LadyG, it not a matter of digging any pit and entering it nor answering 3 rimes instead of 2 times, the VO was simply not convinced of the authenticity of the visas and due to the short time frame he/she could not conduct verification, Just follow LadyG's advise and reapply atleast the interview will give you the opportunity to explain yourself. And try to build your confidence when next you go for the interview.

All the best!
