The passport of the 15 group members is out on Mon and they were all refused on the bases of purpose of event. They are about to appeal on monday please guys advise.

We can't advise on what we don't have the full details. You need to explain how the application was processed, on what capacity is their purpose of visit and the documentation submitted.

Interview date pretty close to travel date plus no prior travel experience is made worse by the fact that it appears that you are trying to 'seize' the opportunity as opposed to a 'well planned' first trip outside the country.

Looking at all the reasons together and not on their own might give a fair idea...my opinion only though.

Each of the reasons is not valid reason enough for refusal but putting them together paints a totally different picture.

I kinda disagree with you. My uncle got his 1st usa visa, 3 days to his proposed travel date in fact he got his passport same day he travelled (2015). I even told him he was taking an expensive risk as he has already bought his ticket, rather he said there is no probs.

Oftentimes, refusal reasons are best known to the VO.

Try send an email, if you go through the tread, you will find the embassy email addresses.

I'm in D bank now and I overheard someone claiming he knows insiders in D us Embassy.. Is this possible cos the travel agent sure has enough testimonies to validate his claim. He's even paying for tickets on behalf of 3 clients.. I want my well informed nairalanders to shed more light on this.

Nothing like insiders, it doesn't exist. But outsiders that tells you to staple your passport photo and arrange your documents for a fee and expensive photociping

Documents to show your sister and inlaw's citizenship,
All other important documents you deem relevant. Although documents are rarely checked but make sure you have the first two above during your interview.

I think Canada visa is now been issued in lagos. Got my trv last December and visa was issued in lagos, it took only 3days. Paper route though, is like online route is still processed in accra

Submitted my application last week 13th Dec., 2017 and just today 19th Dec., 2017 I got a message and mail "Visa application, Tracking Id No. – Your processed passport is ready for collection , on at the Canada Visa Application Centre. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email." also "Visa application, Tracking Id No. 20171213CALATRVXXXXX – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 19-12-2017 vide courier partner. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. " and the last email reads "Visa application, Tracking Id No. – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on vide courier partner. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. "
This decision was made within 6days of submission. I am a bit afraid of the outcome though. It takes God to make it happen.

Did you collect your passport yet, what's the outcome?

thanks bro, i did paper application. the last renewal i did took 2 wks before they released it. that was why i also did paper application this time around and its now 4 weeks since i submitted.

Well paper app cannot really be predicted, you may just have to wait till whenever the processing is done or you request to withdraw your app, whichever one suits you.

Please the Gurus in the house i need your input below

Good evening my people in the house. Please i want to confirm how many weeks does it take to renew a Canadian visitor visa. I have renewed my visitor visa twice after i returned from Canada. This time around will be the third time and i submitted my application on Nov. 10 up till today i am yet to receive my passport. I am travelling to South Africa on 23rd Dec. Please people can i request for my passport cos i dnt know how long it will take them to process my visa at the Canadian embassy.

Standard processing days is about 90 something days but we've seen some online spps processed in 2 or more weeks in recent times.

May be you can write them to explain the urgency. But if you did the online, app you have no worries you can proceed to you trip while you wait for your passport request, even at that you still have some days deadline to for the passport submission.

You better invest your time on how you can get another passport and schedule an expedited interview date rather than waste that time being afraid of an interview. Whether you like it or not, you still have to schedule an interview date and face a VO for questioning so save your energy.

You will be called in for a chat to verify your case.

Oga justwise, stop giving this dude false hope, chat, talk etc he will still go for interview as he will have to schedule an interview date to even be allowed into the embassy to explain his predicament, USA embassy will not call him to come pick up another visa just like that. He still need to obtain a passport, pay another visa fees, schedule a fresh interview date then go on the set date to explain himself. It's left to the VO to issue him another visa or not.

Good day house. I just got an email this morning 08 December 2017(3 months after biometrics) to submit my original passport. I already have a US Visa appointment scheduled for 5th Jan 2018. My concern is that I am not sure if Canadian embassy would have returned my passport before the 5th Jan 2018 US visa appointment. thanks
Please does anyone know how long the Canadian embassy take to return the passport, as I do not want to reschedule my US visa appointment.

8:30am appointment, at the car park, see as all these guys outside were dashing info, we need to do these and that, my husband wanted to listen(cos he didn't have time to read this thread so I always pass info to him whenever we are gisting or eating) but I had to pull him that he must not allow them touch our file and he mustnt talk to them that they are bad luck,all they were saying wanted to get to me but I just told my husband if there's anything we need to do we will come back....

Good day every1...please, I'm a permanent resident in U.S, got married in May, my wife and I are expecting a baby in march, she is stil living in Nigeria. I would have filed for her but with green card it takes about 2 years before that goes through for her to come, I recently applied for my citizenship, awaiting my interview date, but right now she will be due before I even get my citizenship and apply for her.

So my question is....
What are our chances if I invite her to U.S for delivery so that I can take care of her and the baby during and after delivery.

She can try and state that the baby's father want to witness the birth of the baby and to be there for both mom and child however the time is too short for you to file for wifey and work maynt permit him. Just my thoughts o.

No harm in trying, if she no get am, omo ilu shi ni baby wether here or there once you get your citizenship, you can even get her USA Pali from nija.

Then you can file for Mami afterwards.

Nope. The VO gave her an opportunity to show him/her how a business admin graduate can work as an accountant. I would be concerned how a business admin graduate, can work as an accountant, if I were a VO.

....and he explained that he has a professional certificate in accounting!

Why didn't a VO wonder why someone who read Food and nutrition is working in the bank? Na food she wan dey serve for back?

I think the VO just acted on impulse.

If I were the applicant, I will reapply if I have the funds.

No be for everybody oh! It works different ways for different people. I like travelling lots, my wife doesn't much, the major thing we have in common is that we like and prefer SHORT STAY TRIPS. I can take four ("quality and not quality" countries on a trip (even repetition sef, plus different time zones wahala), it won't even wear me out, but my wife wouldn't (she prefers one or two quality travels at a time. I even like spending a day or two in my flight transit countries/cities including within the US, Canada deliberately), I just enjoy "wakadugbe" movements.

So, I most times end up doing my own trips while she does hers alone or with the kid. Been some time we both were on a trip together despite that we (particularly I) make at least one, two, sometimes three trips annually as individuals, no ish at all going it alone, less monetary calculations and involvement! I still have unused tickets to two destinations and will have to embark on them alone soon before story that touch enters because she wouldn't do repeat destination - UAE join oh, we've been there twice together, while I have been there like five times on a general count (e no dey tire me). So, different folks, different strokes!

Our hobbies are similarity in common

But what an expensive indulgence!, God help us Amen
