Here is the VGC Link, only downside i have with the MTN3G is ,
1: The IPs they assign to customers are blocked by major spamlists, so u might have problems sending emails
2: They have Peak times usually between 3-7AM in the morning and 6-11PM at night, somewhere between then and 3AM it switches to ultralow bandwidth (whatever that means) that is what i got from a friend who uses the Line a lot

A little discovery i just made, MTN 3G is actually running on VGC Telecoms infrastructure (MTN now owns VGC telecoms)
1: I do not recall VGC owning 3G infrastructure - http://www.senderbase.org/senderbase_queries/detailip?search_string=41.220.75.3
2: 41.220.75.3 is among a range of IPs assigned to clusters of NATed IPs that the MTN 3G customers use. and it is blocked by major spamlists and resolves to 75-3.vgccl.net using
3: I do not think MTN has true 3G (whatever that means) they are just not telling the truth about their capabilities regarding 3G

Meanwhile, i got my bill for the end of the month and i need help with anyone who knows about Glo3G billing to tell me WTF@$# angry is going on

Find attached

1: How do i make calls when i have not plugged the SIM into my phone, and how do i make glosecure->glosecure calls worth N1,6+ naira, whoTFuc#%$ is glosecure in my phonebook.
2: I was told i had a balance of N7,000 earlier, now I have no balance and I owe N34,000 instead of the N12,000 initially
3: If anyone works in Glo in Nairaland. please help me understand this bill cos i stopped using the equipment on the 16th. .so how are all those glosecure calls coming up, i am responsible if the damn modem decides to call glo for gossips? angry

oga favcom, haba, you just sideline the guy put for one corner.

If you are going to disbelieve something at least have a reason to (even if na flimsy reason)

Are you christian, muslim, or others, very few religions dispute the fact that God exists cept that for some God (Jehovah) is not Allah or Zeus or Arochukwu or Ogun, Worshiping or believing in a Higher Spiritual Being is only natural. I believe in/worship God (Jehovah) but that does not make me a christian (I only do that for Job applications, sometimes I even put Hare Khrishna if it get' s my foot in da door).

There is undeniable sentimental/scientific evidence that God exists and is as real as the rain when it pours, (nobody dey tell blind man say rain dey fall).

No misunderstand me, I summarize that Atheists are some sort of "reality-escapists" that expand the boundaries of right/wrong (as defined each practitioner's capacity to free-think). so they can live a life free from society's checks and balances (and maybe God's Law)

I have met them and had chats, one thing i can say is that lately, Christianity, Islam and others are going out of fashion, ?!? take Naija for example, over 120 million Nigerian's of which we have 40% Christian 50% Muslim and 10% politicians grin
Source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Nigeria#Population_and_Population_Projections
Let us not count other churches, Redeemed Alone has over 5million members (worldwide and growing) multiply by N5 per offering or tithe (what of dollarz)
http://www.utexas.edu/conferences/africa/ads/938.html
My street alone Adetola Street has 27 churches not counting the back streets, even with all these and 50% muslims praying 5times a day, you will think God does not exists, so my G, no blame people when they become free thinkers, Islam dey claim peaceful religion, they can yab Jesus from slippers to long-hair and even call him gay, yet just talk something about one local alfa and you can easily get into a stadium-size fight, shit for koran (allegedly), a massive religious riot claiming 3k people go start. so what was Allah or God doing, playing video games?!!

Well, to each his own, na when we reach Heaven's Gate we go know whether Emeka Dan Philips sell im soul or Atheist have a claim to Heaven.

As for you, go examine your beliefs and hold unto the ones that make sense (like virgin mary ascending to heaven and sitting at the left hand of God after plotting coup for Elijah)

Well at some point we all have to rip our clothes off and wrap cocoa leaves, climb up the nearest tree and caw like dim, monkeys .

Because only arse-poked monkeys like Nigerians will still sit on their DIM butts

@150 million dim momkeys
12th Largest Oil Producer http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0922041.html
8th Largest Oil Exporter http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0922041.html

5th Largest Importer of petrol http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/company_level_imports/current/import.html

Not a single functioning refinery

It is only a country like Nigeria that memory of deaths of over 3 thousand people in a week of religious riots will fade away like Celtel network reception while CNN will blare the news of 200+ over the space of 3months fighting in iraq and we the world will hold its head and go aaawww.

We are plain bastard monkeys (cept moi) committing incest and getting high and drunk I don't know what.
1: We sit on trees and watch while d country is triple-raped by so called corrupt statesmen
2: We watch the economy slide down the gutters and simply tighten our belts and grab rotten bananas to chew while we pull skirts of other african countries that shake their heads and pass by.
3: We are so eager to know whether our limp excuse for a kidney is going to die and give us a new reason not to watch BBA, cos at this freakin stage, monkeys attention span is very short, it is either we are watching soccer, or the olympics or elections, miss nigeria or obasanjo arse-bleeped his son's wife so we can get our minds of $16 billion power projects, $350 million stadia, N126 billion in private account, $1.06 trillion needed for power. JTF killing nigerians, Bakasi going to cameroon

We are bleedin monkeys i tell you, soo disfranchised we can do nothing but climb trees and hoot indian hemp.

MEND, MASSOB is just a manifestation of the human genes we BLACK african monkeys have that has kept us alive all these centuries, it is very possible that in the next 100 years,Black Africa will be caged and the word will pass by filming documentaries of apes cos the real ones got extinct.

There comes a time when dialogue is like water over rock, it will take freaking centuries to break way, so we can keep lookin for peace over the next 300 years, while Theo Danjuma, OBJ, Atiku, Buhari, (too bad Y'rdua will die b4 he resigns which is too soon) and his likes rape this country insane. before we say enuff is enbuff.

MEND is truly not intent on doing anything but throw burning cardboard paper at Nigerians,
1: Blow up all airports
2: Blow up Niger Bridge
3: Wait for a big event, like all parties conference and wipe out all Politicians and leaders including traditional ones.

Court Al Queda for funds

Peace is not an Option anymore, we must all suffer the consequences of monkeying around while the smarter orangutangs ate all the ripe bananas

It is sad that we even dignify their efforts with our responses, is it not obvious that whenever Nigerians are involved in any business institution not established in Nigeria e.g MTN, ZAIN etc. they corrupt the corporations as soon as they establish Nigerian Managers. MTN would not try what they do routinely in South Africa, here is what would likely happen

1: Player salaries would be capped at a ridiculously low ceiling (6,000 pounds per week)
2: Players contracts can run up to 6years if you are exceptional (option of "possible" raise in salaries if you bang in an agreed number of goals)
3: Player bonuses will be decided at the end of the season after determining how many matches were won, drawn or lost
4: Coaches will most definitely be Nigerian (as with technical crew - paid in Naira)
5: Nigerian players will have their contracts signed by a Nigerian Agency (in Naira so as to evade union issues in the UK)
6: New Castle will most likely have 60% Nigerian on the TEAM (Bench, Team B, Youth Team)
7: The Consortium will be very chummy with the NFF (formerly NFA - No Future Ambition) as they will use the stagnant body to effect player transfers at cheap rates,
8: New Castle will definitely see improvements as there are very good players in Nigeria that miss the limelight because of poor management, and greedy agents (don't forget the pollitricks of obtaining a Transfer Certificate from the NFA)

That is my submission

Can you also find out for me the following

1: was there ever a 1GB limit package it might be i hit and went over that limit.
2: Do the GLO3G sim cards come with default settings that put a limit of 1GB maybe someone forgot to move it up to 3GB for me and they are stuck with a debt they don't know how to explain.

Please since you have links in Glo, help me find out.

@Djcn

what is the problem? Is the speed slow? What is the speed that u browse at? How did u know that u used 11.6GB?
I have a major problem
1: I have to drive down from Surulere to Victoria Island to get speeds up to 100kbps or more
2: At Surulere I am told to connect with either the GPRS\Edge or GPRS option. i do that and i get 2kbps or nothing (nothing 80% of the time)
3: When i asked the girl at the counter how much data transfer i had done she asked if i had a counter to tell me how much i have done, why the heck would i need to do that,
4: The other customercare girl mentioned that i was sent 3 notices when i exceeded or got to 80% usage, where exactly di dthey post it. i know the SIM has an SMS tool but i have recieved no such messages.

I particularly hate the fact that when i told them i could not have done above 3GB, they just told me to pay what i owe and i will start browsing without investigating the matter. .do i give you my Serial number and other details,

I figure it was 11.6 GB because it could not have been 116 megs that the girl tried to tell me i had done over 3GB that cost N12,000. so how can i store even 3GB when i do not have that much space.

I feel poisoned, very poisoned by sight of the Glo device honestly and i feel cheated and customercare business in Glo sucks (my own opinion). No customercare numbers work

Srry for skipping ur original question,
but i have used the 3G options USB modem, what has been ur experience, I reside in Surulere and I have been crawling with a meager GPRS/EDGE (starcomms speed) all day

I have to transport myself to VI to get good speeds.

Thanks

What is billing like cos if yu think the price is kool, I owe 12k for downloading 11GB + when i have less than 2gb freespace on my hard-disk. what is going on

@Djcn
I am sorry to say this but it is all hog-wash. (I am just frustrated)
I blastede MTN's 3G modem because I could not get good speeds except in Lekki/VI environs. i got as much as 198kbps per sec on a 236MB file but it happens randomly, there is no consistency on speeds and coverage. it sucks mega asss.

So I switch and I must have read the same preaching you read cos i bought the Glo 3G HSPDA Modem "Options"

It has been hell cept on the Island (especially close to Lekki or Ikoyi)
I have a 3GB Monthly Limit that much was explained to me. I got activated the second day after i paid.
I know what 3Gb is so i used my Baba kura sense to plan to zip up to that limit with at least 3 days to the end of the month.

Here is what happened.
I got a Registration Denied message on the 17th Sept. (I bought the modem on the 1st Sept)
1 took it to Glo Adeola Odeku this morning and within 1hr 38 minutes i was told the followin
1: You owe on the line
2: You owe N12,000
3: You exceeded your download limit of 3GB
4: When you pay N12,000 youwill browse to the end of the month and pay N15,000

Blaaady hell i thought.
1: I blocked Windows Update for that reason
2: I block all outgoing/incoming connections cept for the Firefox
3: I have downloaded a total of 1.09 Gigs since the 1st of Sept
4: I download videos rather than stream them to my hard disk.

So how in God's green earth did i do 11.6 GB in one month when I have only 1.4GB freespace on my hard disk.

To say the least I was very angry because the customercare girl refused to let me see the figures and said a bill will be sent to the address i registered with. and remember to pay at the end of the month or be disconnected.

MTN's solution was a street hooker, but this , this is one of those Abuja paroles who milk you when u blink.

@Djcn

Please if you know any IT engineer at Glo. .please furnish for me the following.
1: is the 3GB limit divided into N5k per GB
2: MTN has a data counter when u browse, Glo does not so I suspect they have their own internal records of what and how much you have downloaded,
3: have u recieved your bill, what does it tell you

Because from the whispers going on at customercare, i suspect i am being ripped-off b4 my very b4

Thanks, but it is marketing splurge like this that got me wasting money with starcomms EVDO

Please for friggin sake, let someone make a honestr review of this thing without doing glos marketing for them

Thank u and sorry for al the expletives.

I shall return my device by the end of the month.

I truly do not see what all this bad belle will do, especially when it is online,
I have finally decided to pitch my tent with the blood-sucking evildoers like Bode George, and Yaradua and Jonathan Goodluck and Kingibe and Fashola and , you must think they aren't of the same ilk,

I pity those who are actually suprised, let me summarize

1: Nigeria is supported by a very strong and healthy Democracy, made up of very docile citizinery, very slack press, easily side-tracked "social activist"; very exhausted civil activists, very cautious and greedy private sector, a handful of military-related citizens like theo danjuma and his padres who continue to operate from the backlight,

Let us not forget the final glue, Religion and the Military (Police, Army, EFCC, SSS Isreali MOssad and FBI and maybe CIA). they will set on us once we start thinking of moving our feet in a riotuos manner

of 200million Nigerians and 40% are christians, if at least 5% of these christians pray at least once every week, won't there be some effect even if slightly on the sanity of its citiziens?

We are doomed i tell you, the only once that will be left behind in this glorious rapture of goodies called Natural and Financial Resources will be u guys bickering over Bode's apparent affluence, the arrest was just to cover your eyes with spit so the sucker punch can be delivered before you even wipe your faces,

Just find the nearest PDP caucus in your area and join, you might benefit from the largesse come 2010, do not say i did not tell you, as for me and my family, i say shame to progress and honesty, long live the federal republic of corruption
Politics › Re: Ribadu Wanted For "Treason"! by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 3:53pm On Aug 08, 2008
I wonder why Nigerians even bother about corruption.

If corruption amounted to at least 10% of the country's woes, it would be tolerable. my dear, it accounts for over 150% of Nigeria's present and future problems.

Each time an event the likes of this one occurs, we quickly salivate over it as we would a rich dish of coconut rice and dodo/beef with Maggi sauce.

The problem is not with our corrupt leaders, it is with us, the morally and intellectually corrupt/inept (mostly docile) football-loving followers.

Corruption exists and must be sustained because at this stage in Nigeria's evolution, It is an integral part of the system of democracy.
Take out corruption and see if any meaningful elections will hold, or if the budget will get read out, or if the govt. will release N56billion for Power, of if suitable persons will get appointed to critical positions that need fixing.

If all corrupt citizens were to die today, there would be chaos in this country for decades, From the President down to the guard-dog at CBN HQ abuja, we are all corrupt,

Turning to God won't solve anything, cos "God has left the building". In 2000, our population was put at 140 million http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Nigeria#Statistics with 40% (56 million) being Christians, so let's say (imaginatively) 10% of 56 million (5.6 million) christians actually pray for better days in Naija. I am sure God cannot help but do his Magic when 5.6 million voices cry out, talk about Union power. The truth is, when people like us (nairalanders) simply do nothing but talk about it, we are as guilty and responsible for it as perpetrators.

If this problem cannot be solved with 5.6 million nigerian christians or even 7 million (10% of 70m Muslims) hardcore 5-times-a-day-praying Muslims, then what do you really think can be done.

Security Agency's besides the morally bankrupt police force like the SSS and DMI all support the reigning government whole-heartedly, so tell me. .what can be done beyond this joyless banter on the net.

3: SLAs
4: Maintenance Plan (Support or incident management, how do we reach you to resolve this)
