henricson: Please I'm having issues paying for visa application fees online. Done it thrice now and it keeps saying declined transaction not approved. Tried 2 different banks. And funds are over 75k. Did any one experience this?
Or is it cause it's a naira card and the limit is 100 dollars a day? Which bank Mastercard are you using? |

My advise to those applying for admission, please don't focus on only Canada, if you have money write ielts follow up on other countries like Australia, USA, Germany. If you apply to 3 Canadian Universities definitely one will give you admission with or without funding, but visa is the koko not admission una wadooo. |

alftdbts: Please don't discourage him when you are not sure. I was in the same situation sometimes in July, outtightly forgot my passport at my friend's place and I got to Lekki before remembering but I was allowed to do biometrics, although they asked me at every desk I got to for the original passport and I said same thing everytime. His reason is more genuine than mine. When asked simply say it's at another embassy for processing. And I also hope it was online submission that you did. In a nutshell I did my biometrics in less than 2hrs. Abuja vfs didn't allow someone I know. |

Frankrobbn1: What drove to the bolded statement? If McGill made a mistake on accepting him, then inform them about it or better still correct it yourself. Since you seem to know very well more than the university and visa officers that granted him visa. The young man has poured out his heart about the wrong deeds in this country and further used a Lebanese man as a clear case study. The word "shithole", I personally don't acquiesce with it and I have cautioned him. But seriously, the above statement looks so impractical of you and doesn't potray you in unequivocal view. Moreover, it's not all comment you see here you must respond to or drag attention. You talk as if you will truly return to Nigeria after studies in Canada, Fine!. I refer you as an "Attorney" because you're born of knowledge and persistence purpose. So, let's go with that narrative. The young man has secured his TRV and nobody can change it. Let him be and let's face what brought us here. Frankrobbn1 the man with a large heart, I greet you. |

Carlz1: Letter of explanation although I wrote an sop but I didn’t write a letter of explanation to address previous refusal Well I feel this rejection after sending cic mail is common with paper route, has your eligibility started before the delay mail came? Is the v.o still in charge of updating applicants profile that instead of updating your profile with the document you sent, they decided to update it with delay mail. These guys are funny sometimes or is it that anybody that attends to application from background check to final decision is a v.o? |

joe10: Good day to the Gurus in the house and distinguished Nairalanders.
My Study permit application was refused for the second time. I was initially refused in London on the ground of purpose of visit. I put up a strong SOP to convince the VO why I would return to Nigeria after my studies. Provided evidence of personal investments, bequeathed building from my late Father, included my admission letter which stated that payment of school fee can only be done after receiving study permit and other strong points which I did not include in my first application, but after notifying IRCC of changes in my status that my wife put to bed and stated that I have made adequate provisions for their up keep I was slapped with a refusal by nairobi in two hours after sending the message. This time nairobi stated four reasons for refusal even though I took my time to prepare a very strong SOP. I do not know whether I did wrong by informing IRCC of changes in status cos I know it is mandatory to reveal such changes to IRCC so as to update your profile. I AM NOT GIVING UP YET. Sorry bro, please don't send cic message about any change especially when it's Kenya that is handling your application, you are the major applicant not your wife, so why are you telling them? when you already fill that you don't have a child on the form. |

Missbaby: APPROVAL ALERT!!! Online Application Submitted: June 16, 2018 Biometrics request: June 22, 2018 Eligibility review: August 9, 2018 Medicals request: August 9, 2018 Medicals done: August 14, 2018 Medicals passed: August 16, 2018 Passport request: August 30, 2018
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED All required CIC forms Acceptance letter WAEC result Transcripts BA certificate (first class) – I also got a scholarship covering full tuition from my school in Canada but had to sort my living expenses NYSC Discharge Certificate Sponsors’ statement of account with closing balance of about 300k (business account) Sponsors’ treasury bill certificates – 10m Sponsors’ CAC Sponsors’ tax clearance certificate Sponsors’ international passport data page Letter of Intent
My sponsor was my cousin so I included a family tree showing relationship and her marriage certificate since we no longer have the same last name.
I didn’t include my personal statement of account and my home ties were my two siblings in Nigeria and the job prospects that I have in Nigeria based on my course.
First, I must state that my application was nothing but a miracle. After submission, I found nairaland and based on what I read on threads, I had some loopholes in my application like using a business statement of account, not submitting my personal statement of account, and not having the usual home ties like land and other properties.
I kept praying and believing God for his grace to cover the flaws in my application and He showed up for me! Nothing is impossible with God, you just need to have faith and He will show up for you mightily.
Best of luck to other TRV hopefuls Congratulations dear!!! August was nice, September will be awesome |

MsChidi: Hi guys. I am new to this forum. You guys are doing a great job. I am currently in the process of getting my TRV, I applied for an MBA at the University of Toronto, and I got a message from the VO requesting for me to do my medicals. What I noticed from reading this thread from part 1 to 14 is that no one spoke on what the medicals entail.
Pls can someone be kind enough to tell me what the VO is checking for in the medicals that may make him/her grant a visa or not? is there a certain disease an applicant have that might hinder his/her getting a TRV.
Awaiting your reply This country we lie too much,it is well |

mightyola: Errm.. Let me be sure, we are on the same page. On Aug 7th it change to "we are reviewing eligibility" and on the 8th Aug it changed back to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility". While background check remained "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" at both period.
You said from "Observation".. can you shed some more light!! Be prayerful man, there is nothing God can't do. |

SirVal94: Amen..Mine Eligibility has not even started..well it started, but went back to processing. June 3rd. It shall end with praise.
Why could that be? From observation it's not a good sign for eligibility to start then later go back to background check instead of proceeding medical request. I think something was not convincing enough! |

Maxihyfr: Nawa oo.. This kind tin sef..
Na to go put head for Lithuania na.. Lol Lol.... every country has it own visa problem, Lithuania don't have embassy or submitting center in Nigeria, your school in Lithuania will send your informations to the embassy you choose, so you have to get a visa first to South Africa, Egypt or Turkey first for interview and getting a visa these days to these countries is not easy. Wish you success |
