so sorry about your condition dear, but you need expert help... Plss see a specialist, especially in a teaching hospital, you may run some tests, which may be expensive, but its all for your well-being!!! I pray the good lord grants your heart desire
Health › Re: Asherman Syndrome Anybody? by Lagusta(m): 6:37pm On Jul 05, 2014
when i mean conservative, i mean there is no direct cure for asherman's syndrome... We just give pain relief, treat infections, give fluids, etc until when the uterus heals on its own.... See your personal doctor for more info...

SAPEDRO: it's you who should get yours right. sir, even though there are consultants in that field, but that's what nurse anaesthetists are extensively trained for . in a typical hospital setting say an orthopedic department there's no need to involve a consultant anaesthetist who might not even be available, cos you already have a professional who can handle dat in ur department, which is exactly what people are clamoring for, that the health system is supposed to be a form of team work.
the major problem is dat medical doctors are overrated in this country so why won't they be holding the government to ransom time and time again

please take ur time to Google this fact out and see that a nurse anaesthetist. earns more than some medical doctors in the united state
my God!!! Why am i arguing with youhuh This is what i've seen for good three years in my clinical courses, especially the surgical ones... And you even said nurses are paid more than doctors.... Laughing in yugoslavian i swear!!! Please just type "the highest paid professionals in the USA" and see the result for yourself.... Chaaaaaaiiiiii, ignorance is really a disease
Health › Re: NMA Strike Ends On Monday, Says Health Minister by Lagusta(m): 11:11am On Jul 05, 2014
SAPEDRO: i still wonder how a cardiologist or a consultant paediatrician will do the work of a nurse anaesthetist, if the nurse decides to down tools, no wonder these nurses are better paid in the more developed countries because they have to go on a two-year specialization program after their five years initial degree program and the likes of the aforementioned doctors are never trained for that even if they spent 20 years in the medical school as some would claim..
come on, are you trying to tell me that its nurse anaesthetists that monitor patients on the theatre bedhuh Dont you know that we have consultants in that field and only them, not even senior registrars can monitor patientshuhplease get your facts right!!!!

YourHealthlabs: Stop threatening the guy with 'if we leave'.
There are Nigerian docs in U.S yes..but most were trained there. The chances of any foreign doc passing USMLE and practicing there is just 3%, for American-trained docs it's 97%.

He is right to an extent, there are more demand for Nurses,MLS and physios than there is for foreign-trained physicians in US and Canada. Even Americans trained in other countries(except canada) find it difficult to practice in the U.S.

Go check their immigration/pr policy and see the professions they prirotize. M.B.B.S is NOT an international standard.

Always present facts and guide people right.
Thank you.
yes, you are right, there is a slim chance of passing usmle, but NIGERIAN DOCS DO PASS USMLE!!! And yes, they employ foreign nurses, but you first start off as an aide/orderly unless u already have a B.Sc, where you have to write their board exams before getting a license.... I have a sister in law who works over there as a nurse.....

dalhat14: when doctors go on strike, they withdraw their services ie their brains and hands, but when these people u mentioned go on strike, they lock doors and hide equipments, and another correction, doctors don't go home to sit when others go on strike

Health › Re: Asherman Syndrome Anybody? by Lagusta(m): 5:36am On Jul 05, 2014
asherman's syndrome occurs when a "doctor" (usually a quack) performs an abortion in a very rigorous and callous manner that leads to scarrring and anaplastic changes in the inner wall of the uterus, not only the cervix..... Treatment is usually conservative, antibiotics can be administered to prevent secondary infection, but the patient has to abstain from sex if the uterus has to heal properly

Apitch: @Phantom, it's a lie! Johesu can't and has no right to switch off power supply. Please stop feeding people with lies. The Doctors are just being too irrational, they are notjust fighting for themselves but against others*nd my question is "WHY"
it has happened before... The labs were locked up, the icu was shut down... This issue isnt one-sided, johesu has also done alot of nasty things in the past

Samakinr: ...i used to respect you...if you can single handedly manage a patient,
then you shouldn't mind telling the government to establish 'doctors
clinic' because as far as i know (and it seems you're the one ignorant
here), i have never seen a Dr doing bed bathe, i have never seen a Dr
disposing the feacal matters of patients, i have never seen a Dr doing
NG tube feeding, perhaps when you turn 90 and you have feacal
inconvenience, you will still have the ego to repeat the statement or
rather bull shit that you wrote up there. Why are you soo arrogant as if
being a Dr is a passports to riches, to heaven or the ultimate
achievements....and you are talking as if i didn't finish from college
of health sciences at OAU, while i still have aspirations to become a
Dr, i still have the integrity enough to respect and reference other
health professionals................................so don't talk as if
you're a know it all, you're just a drop in the ocean of humanity,
please learn how to argue constructively....

house officers in uith do bed bath, feed via NG tube, and pack feces, and they are proud of it, while nurses grow fat due to too much african magic

i love nurses alot, but when they start crossing boundary, my respect for them dissolves like sugar in hot cocoa...

but all the same, i wish you good luck in all your aspirations
Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Lagusta(m): 9:47am On Jul 02, 2014
now this is funny!!!

imagine nurses and pharmacists forming an association with cleaners, porters and health records keepers!!!

Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Lagusta(m): 9:35am On Jul 02, 2014
Samakinr: ....what are you saying bro?...the laboratory technician is as important
as any other person. Let the lab technician write a wrong report on
your lab test, then the Dr you are claiming as almighty will send you to
your early grave.
thats a blatant lie, even if a senior resident/consultant in chemical pathology/microiology brings an erroneous result, it will still be under scrutiny by the consultant clinician, not all doctors are dumb you know!!!
Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Lagusta(m): 9:32am On Jul 02, 2014
Samakinr: ...you will think you have a point, yes, you have, but quite an
unreasonable one. Do you mean, if the other health workers should go on
strike now, the doctor can single handedly manage a patient?....the
hospital is a conglomerate of specialists in different fields...each
mutual to one another...
oh please, get your facts right before posting out of ignorance...

while i was still a student, during the last joheshu (abi wetin them call them sef) strike, the only reason why we couldnt admit patients was because the health records workers joined the strike, but the patients in the ward were fully managed by doctors!!! there was a nearby pharmacy so even if pharmacists go on strike...... you know nah wink
Health › Re: Doctors’ Strike Cripples Hospitals Nationwide by Lagusta(m): 9:28am On Jul 02, 2014
centje: No matter how serious doctors strike is, you can never see a doctor
trying to disrupt the activities of JOHESU members during the strike.
But each time JOHESU goes on strike, their members leave their houses
every morning to sabotage Doctors' work.
the reason is very simple: doctors have been trained to be disciplined, and to have self control.... some of these nurses did not even make GCE at one sitting!!! cheeeeeeiiii!!!!

Bro how far na? You said bds and mbbs are one and the same thing. Now you say bds is better in some ways. Don't contradict yourself to make a point. It sounds dishonest.
I believe what he was trying to say was, a dentist has more time for himself and his family, compared to some docs e.g surgeons, gynecologists....
