The right and most important thing has been done which is to advise the op to see a doctor for proper evaluation, I'm case he requires seeing a consultant ,if in a private settings he should be sure he's seeing a neurologist and not just a senior medical officer. Simple
As for u, I don't know ur plight, are u a GP or what, is this kind of attitude that makes people believe we are heady in our profession, that's if my assumption about u is right.
