Buyer fully paid for TV but didn't come to pick it up yet, seller got a better offer and sold the TV and offered to return money to buyer. Kolewerk.

As soon as full payment has been made, na transfer of ownership remain, nothing else.

If the neighbour has paid the last instalment and depending on the time frame taken to make the complete payment, he may just be in the right.

Don't take rash action, you need a man-to-man talk. Don't go into arguments or call the police yet. Don't pitch adding any extra money rght away as well. Let him gas all his heat down then ask him what he wants: anything different from taking the car.

Blame: you should have made your research about your next intended car before placing the initial one for sale.

I have said it time and time again. The mix of floating the naira plus removing subsidy is not a great formula. Now becasue dollar is too expensive, the price of imported fuel would be reaching indescribable heights. To save face, they reintroduce subsidy again. So how do these tough times pay Nigerians if none of the objectives are being met?

Why was your thread deleted? We all know the rigors of acclimatization to a new country. Learning the language and all. Add in the stress of job search. Even Americans are applying to over 1000 jobs before securing 1 or 2.

Except you're highly skilled, (not just experience) or in a high demand field. Even with that, you have to work twice as hard.

I have also considered relocation to Nigeria but I tell you for free, it's hell. See crazy job requirements only for you to be paid #200k. It's better to clean dishes and old people sef where you make double, triple the amount.

I would say it's better you put time into learning the language. If Austria is also bad economically, you should consider relocating to a better country. There's always space to revise strategies and go back to the drawing board.

Debt recovery is usually herculean. Even if you get the customers, say the ones with substantial amounts, they would still drag the process and end up drafting a debt repayment schedule spread over such a timeframe that the money becomes useless.
Except, the accounts have bulk funds that can be zapped in one go.

There is a pain point at which demand for many imported goods will fall fast. People will simply start buying less and less of them. Whether that pain point is at N1500, N1800, or N2000 to a dollar, I don't know.

In some ways, it is to the credit of Mr Tinubu's administration that it is willing to follow this extremely tough path to redirect the economy from import dependence to greater local production.

You can't drive transitions at this pace and at the expense of lives. Are there up to 10 basic amenities in high demand and wholly manufactured in Nigeria? Even the food we consume is grown with imported seeds and agrochemicals. By devaluing the naira, BAT expected increased FDI. Are we seeing that now?

Past administrations have attempted this transition even in more subtle and softer ways and had to backtrack: Obasanjo, Jonathan.

By increasing import duties, they intend to stifle demand for Fx at the expense of Nigerians but that doesn't solve the problem. Vehicle duties, import bans have been increasing for years and they only make things tougher for the average person, they do not reduce their demand.

Instead of the administration introducing palliatives to cushion this transition (like increasing the minimum wage or providing subsidized transport), they are more concerned about increasing import duties and taking hands off the price regulation of vital resources to save face.

What is your fear? Some friendships are plain platonic even though they're with the opposite sex. My spouse may ask me to cut off communication with long time acquaintances (male and female) but I find it hard to do so literally because she doesn't understand how far we've come and how irrational it is to just cut them off like that.

I have done so with some friends who I told directly, "my wife is not comfortable with our friendship. We won't be friends anymore". It's harsh but it also shows I rate my partner over the friend. In other circumstances, I try to explain to my wife why I don't feel it's the right decision to cut some people off just because she's insecure.

Decisions to quit such communications can only be taken by your wife when she's convinced that it's not good for her marriage. You can drag the horse to the river but can't force it to drink. You need to augment your overt demands with subliminal persuasion to achieve your goals. I won't teach how to do that because you should know who you married more than anyone else.

I also agree with this, make her introduce the man to you. If demands don't work, persuasion will. Women use the same trick all the time. They make sure they are visible as "the wife" whenever a female figure is around her husband. It's their way of putting everyone in check.

Finally, a philanderer will always cheat regardless of if you have drone cameras following her 24/7. Give yourself some peace.

I used to ply Kaduna-Birnin Gwari every fortnight back in 2016. I think I have written about it somewhere on this forum before. I usually have to manage salesmen at the Birnin Gwari market. Kamuku resort was my favourite spot for the beautiful huts and local chicken peppersoup. Corpers were also at the resort to liven our evenings when we played pool at the bar.

It was around that time the insurgency got worse and bandit attacks ramped up on that route. People were being ambushed so close to NDA roundabout, coming from Birnin Gwari with the airport road on the left. To make matters worse, the road was an eyesore and would remain empty for miles while driving.

I believe the Kaduna government just abandoned that area in terms of security. For the next time abeg, life is more precious than money saved on diesel.

This herdsmen epidemic has been ravaging the North Central for many years but southerners turned a blind eye because they were unaffected. Now it is at their doorstep and its making the news every day when as far back as 2018 in northern regions, people have to pray and make last wishes before travelling intra-state or wonder if hiding in a well would save them from bandits by nightfall but it won't even make local news.
