well some of you are probably, below 30 so you didn't experience, military regime, because if you do you not talk like this, check your history or Google how Nigeria was before military regime, especially before 1984 buhari took over, see in military regime just know you don't vote your leader o, they appoint to you who ever they like, and you don't argue with them,if you questions their leadership style, the kill the person, nobody can do anything about it o,no courts of justice o,
Every player in the military regime in Nigeria is a millionaire today till date, they all crumble Nigeria economy to their individual pucket, the only man who didn't steal public money
is buhari, that is why he came back as civilians and crumble Nigeria economy, what he fail to do 1984,in military regime you can't carry some hair style o or girl wearing trousers hmm
You guys don know any thing poverty was the other of the day you can't insult the president o even on social media,no freedom

In as much as you have a good point, how many of this issues did democracy address? Is democracy better, did it achieve better, did it save cost of governance? Everything you mentioned here, democracy has done even worse. On what ground will the people say democracy has done better, let's stick to it? In Nigeria, we are still enjoying infrastructures built by the guys on uniform while the democracy infrastructure is collapsing even before completion or takes ages to complete. We need to critically analyse the situation, its heart breaking.

Just got Hisense 1.5hp inverter AC and it's experiencing same wahala. I knew I may experience such challenges, but the small difference between the 1hp and 1.5hp deceived me. Felt inverter will be better at handling low voltage. But all na the same.

These people sell lies to customers.... What's the essence of the inverter. However, I know there is a voltage range for the inverter AC. Does your voltage meet up?

I am just facing the same problem now. I can't enjoy the AC I bought barely two weeks ago. Na was o. I will advise anyone that wants to buy AC to go for inverter AC. The additional expenses that comes with non inverter AC is much. Save yourself of the stress, don't wait to learn the hard way

Guy, honestly, I wish I saw this your comment much earlier. My AC 1.5hp is just wasting due to poor current. Am not even sure 5000va can help me out. Am just flabbergasted.
The money and stress one will spend on normal AC is enough to buy inverter AC.

donstan18:
Traditionally, a man is the chief sponsor of any wedding ceremony while the woman supports in a way she can. Reason, it's expected a man goes into marriage when financially stable and ready.

Allocating 50% to her passed a message that you'll be a type of husband who will be after the statistics of the wife's earning and spending. You sure wouldn't have done what you did if you hadn't any knowledge of her earning, you acted because you know her earning and that's a red flag for Nigerian ladies, because they don't like dragging and equal responsibilities in a home.

You don't go direct when you want a woman to contribute financially to something. You go Tactically[Not imposing, but asking how and where she can take care of, she'll choose, no matter the percentage of her choice, you lock up, keep the planning going, pretend like you are cool and then sketch out a personal plan of how to act worried and restless before her, she'll wanna know the problem, act like you wanna hide it from her, she'll be worried and pissed that you are hiding things from her, then you'll come up with a story and open up that you are facing financial crisis and don't know how to sort some things out concerning the wedding, she'll willingly help with pity without seeing you as a stingy or mean person]

No be everything dem dey form mancho, you go dey use your head.

You've spent on traditional wedding and for that not to be a total waste, kindly go and meet her, reason with her and go tactical, not directly with authority.

Happy married life in advance!

Too much sense will not keel you.

that is what am saying bro,the cabals wont allow it,is not like they dont do the right thing to do,they know...But wickedness and corruption wont let them....But Nigerians will keep on talking, until one day,Little by Little, our voices will be heard

Sure.
I hope so too.
I don't expect much from this country because I see little or no hope for a common man.
We will keep working and praying.

Chuksmonika:
first of all,let us know that electricity generation and distribution is not rocket science, they are easy.....But cabals e.g those who import generators and diesel will never allow it,cause it will spoil their business...we need a sincere leader who will fight them head on,But wilth the way things are in Nigeria,it will take a long time before Nigeria enjoy it,i have been to Ghana and Burkina Faso, throughout my stay there,i never for once experienced an outage,it is just sad that Nigerians are treated this way,and the funny part is that they seem to enjoy the way Leaders treat them, though they cant really do Sh!t...cos they dont we dont have the liver for now to effect the necessary changes, people who dared in the past to challenge the staue quo paid dearly for it,Sowore is a recent example,But God will help us all!

We must first of all do away with National grid, which country still does that sh!t nw?....Let every State Generate its electricity for the state consumption, the excess can be sold to neigbouring states who cant generate enough

You fcckin smart.
You just provided a lasting solution that will be effective in the next 10yrs if implemented judiciously.
Will the power above allow it? Thats another question of the day.

Nice one by the govt of Enugu but wassup with this land resources wastage in Nigeria all the time?
This is not the way a sane country provide accommodation for it's staffs/workers.
What happens to 3/4/5 storey buildings to accommodate more workers/dtaffs/family. I see this as a short term venture to make money off the project.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Army To Take ₦1b Loan Towards Producing Local Armoured Fighting Vehicle by laliga01: 9:12pm On Apr 28, 2019
AutoJoshNG:

Tukur Buratai who is Chief of Army Staff said the Nigerian Army needs N1billion to boost capacity of its vehicle manufacturing company to produce more combat vehicles, which will help to counter terrorists and other insurgents.

In the closing ceremony of the Nigerian Army Combat Arms Training Week on Saturday, Mr. Buratai revealed that the Army would take a loan from its “number of investments that have been generating huge amounts of money”, for the purpose.

“The innovations by the Nigerian Army in the areas of equipment production, localizing and bringing back vehicles and equipment that are hitherto abandoned, is another major achievement that we recorded,” he said.

“You have been promised by the Group Managing Director of NAVMC that in the next three to four months, we should have brand new vehicles originally produced by the Nigerian Army for use in the Army and the general public that may find it useful, especially the paramilitary agencies. This, we believe, will transform the Nigerian Army and Nigerian industrial companies when we start mass production.

“We are already sourcing the sum of N1billion to support the Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company. We a have a number of investments in the Army that have been generating huge amounts of money and we will take a loan from there to support Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company to realize our dream of producing indigenous armoured fighting vehicles and to continue to maintain our existing equipment.”

“The Nigerian Army and Police have helped to keep Nigeria and Kaduna safe,” he said. “They have helped in combating terrorism, armed banditry, kidnapping and other forms of insecurity.”

Giftedhand92:
Few days ago, 34 female strippers who play their trade at a popular night club in Abuja, Caramelo, were arrested by the officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

It was also learnt that some of the nude dancers were from wealthy homes, while some of them were married and have children.

The All Progressives Congress, UK chapter on reacting to the latest raid at the popular night club, applauded the FCTA and the Department of Development Control, Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) and the Social Development Secretariat (SDS) for the job well done in curbing the moral decadence ravaging the city of Abuja.

Also on sharing the video of how the nude dancers struggled with the agencies during the last week Wednesday raid, they wrote;

Reason for the raid “In response to security reports and complaints from the residents of area adjoining the location of Caramelo Night Club on plot 630 Cadastral zone B05 along T.O.S Benson Street within Utako District, the relevant authority deployed its officers to carry out surveillance in order to validate the complaints.

“The outcome of the surveillance revealed that the complaints are genuine and real. Please note that the substance of these complaints include, noise nuisance from loud party music, nude/strip dancing club activities intractable traffic challenge, resulting from uncontrolled patronage to the commercial nightclub within the residential precinct,” he said.
