Again we see from there that signs were not sent at Muhammad's time because some people earlier rejected them, why the signs now? It is therefore clear that such writings on almost anything is a new development and it is possibly manipulative.

I am pretty sure you don't understand the Quran.Allah says in the glorious Quran in Surah Al-Qamar 54:1-2 -The Hour has drawn near,and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon).
And if they see a sign,they turn away and say:This is continuous magic..
